Good morning everyone, as the title would suggest today I'm sharing how to always look elegant, classy and polished whatever your budget AND whatever the season! Big hugs everyone and I'm looking forward to hearing from you all, Jess!
I've been watching you since 2020 and I love the fact that you've kept this up and have not wavered you might not have a million followers, but you have really been the most reliable fashion influential fashion guru on UA-cam for me
100% agree. I love the lack of commercialism. I feel that she is always educating rather than showcasing something a retailer wants her to market or hawk. She truly endorses a sense of creativity.
What a lovely comment, thank you so much for writing that, I can't tell you how much appreciate it:) And thank you for sticking around since early on, no doubt you've seen a lot of hair changes, a few tears and back to getting happy again so a huge thank you to you and all these lovely ladies for making this a lovely community to be part of:))
@@FashionStyleEdit I was a solider in Afghanistan for US military watching your videos. You are inspirational. You are the reason, now that I work a normal job I am always well dressed. Hhaha you should talk about the down size to always being well dressed because some people do make comments and try to single out the well dressed folks.

I love monocrome looks. My style is very minimal and I own black, white, royal blue and grey items (almost) exclusively. Monochrome dressing makes my life so easy!
It's a good idea lovely, certainly makes getting dressed each morning super easy! I then I think amongst that, as and when you spot something in a pop of colour you like, it's pretty easy to integrate and make it work with your fairly classically toned wardrobe:)
@@FashionStyleEdit you are so right. I love to add a pink highheel or even a bright lipstick is so impactful. I use textures in my outfits and sometimes a pop of colour as mentioned. So I never get bored. EDIT the most important tip to look put together is in my opinion to take care of the garments. Iron, repair, de-pill cashmere and wool. Clean shoes and bags on a regular basis. Find a cobler and a tailor. My oldest garment is a silk slip dress from the 90ties and due to correct washing and one repair still so beautiful. Back then I was a student and had to save up for it for quite a while so this dress is very close to my heart.
I'm definitely a fan of monochrome dressing. Mine are usually navy, but burgundy, cream and sky blue are also firm favourites. I'll sometimes add a pop of colour in a bag or coat (I don't own a burgundy coat, so a coat won't be a pop, but either camel or navy).
Love all your suggestions, as a working gal, sometimes it's hard to put pieces together, sometimes I just grab whatever I see. Now I have these inspirations.
Hello Jess. Lovely outfits you put together. The burgundy dress is absolutely beautiful on you. I see that you are incorporating this trend into your wardrobe. I just recently purchased a merino wool burgundy pleated dress that I hope to wear at an upcoming February wedding as well as a going out dress in the fall/winter. The grey monochrome outfit is perfect. Cashmere is one of my favorite fabrics and as long as they don't itch, you don't have to spend a fortune on a cashmere sweater. Thanks for these useful tips.
Hi Diane, hope you've had a great week and lovely to hear you're leaning into the burgundy fashion trend too:) I've seen the shade about so much recently in every possible iteration so I'm thinking if anyone does want to dip their toe in the trend there's certainly a lot to choose from! LOVE the sound of your dress, how interesting pleated yet made from merino, where's that one from out of interest? I spotted a bag yesterday in that shade that's gone straight to the top of my wish list, not sure whether to spoil myself but I really really want too haha!
@@FashionStyleEdit I ordered the dress from Talbots in the U.S. because they have a wonderful petite line. That is where I get most of my clothes from. The dress also comes in black 100% merino wool.
Thank you so much Julia, so glad you enjoyed today's video:) You saw my little 'man flu' note then haha! Still feeling rotten tbh, and getting zero sympathy in this house full of boys I might add! Thank goodness for you lovely lot! Big hugs lovely, have a wonderful week ahead:)

I definitely feel that integrating trends into my wardrobe doesn’t have to mean a total style overhaul-it’s all about mixing key pieces with your existing staples.

Isn't that dress a stunning colour, very excited about that fashion trend this season and equally though a trend, it's not going to date either:) The column jeans are my absolute favourites I've bought for a long time tbh! I did size down once and they've stretched too, but stretched into that perfectly slouched look (not too oversized) so I'd recommend going one size smaller as the cotton will give a bit over time:)
That's so nice to hear you enjoyed it thank you Helen:) And yes I'd love to film one about organising my wardrobe, I haven't filmed one of those for a while actually so I shall add it to the list! Big hugs:)

Cashmere pills so much. I am reluctant to use one of those combs or a gadget for shaving off the pills too often because the fabric eventually becomes thinner and the pile flattens. What do you do? Thank you for this video, everything you showed looked stunning.
Cashmere pills are so annoying aren't they but I find that if you really search out the highest quality it does minimise it a lot. I do use the shaving device and I think so long as you're gentle with it it works fine. I also hand wash my cashmere mostly rather than dry cleaning, and then I iron when it's very very slightly damp with helps make all the yarn lie a lot flatter too. Hope that helps Karen:)

I can see them now but it's still really hard. It's not just your video. It's other too. It's like they did a dark almost black overlay to all the info and then just the links area bright blue and visible so it's hard to see. This is bad. I wonder why UA-cam is doing this :(
Oh I’m not sure? I did check on my tv also and it all seems find with text and links. Have you turned the settings of your tv into dark mode somehow? I know I do that by accident with my phone sometimes.

No, but it’s certainly not a requirement to looking chic and elegant:) The same style tips apply no matter what shape or size. Size labels are honestly the last thing I would think about, shape and fit are so much more important:)
This is a nice but a bit boring and predictable look. Everybody is suggesting the same looks. I would like to see some plot twists to these basic looks.
Do you not realise how cruel cashmere is? Please look in to it, there is no ethical or cruelty free way to get cashmere from a goat. Are you ok with that when you wear it?

@@StayGold_MrsE oh that’s odd? What it doesn’t say anything about the item at all? Let me check in my telly too:)
@@FashionStyleEdit yes. It's just links in blue. It's the burgandy dress from Quince? That's what I was looking for.
@@FashionStyleEdit no it looks perfect on my TV it's here on my phone that is all dark with blue links.

How to go to a football game with casual husband when I like formal, structured clothes?
The comments on pandora quality on their website on the gold collection are really negative, saying they wear off in two days😢
That's just not true in my experience at all. A lot of my pieces I've had for over a year now and they look as good as new:) It sounds like a competitor might be playing games in their reviews section sadly!
The thing is it is sad that we women generally avoid skirts and dresses.
I think because they're often not practical with our modern lifestyles. Women largely wore skirts until the 60s.
@@angelaleishman1570 I mostly wear skirts and dresses but with leggings which allows for walks out in the countryside and housework. Couldn’t do it without leggings 😄

It doesn’t hurt to be tall and slender.

Nothing special about this.
