These are all my favorite colors. Each fall I pick a color to focus my shopping. It always is a neutral. Last year, I was all about camel which built on my black purchases from the prior year. This year, I’m focused in on chocolate brown. Two years ago I was in love with beige. By doing this, I can chose just about any pieces in my wardrobe and they work together. Not exactly like a capsule wardrobe but more a curated style. I also only buy three brands - St John Knits, Talbots, and Carlisle.

I love this! It is what I am trying to do. Over 2 years I have revamped my wardrobe to include only brown, black, camel and white/off white. And some navy. I am now working on quality. I am slowly replacing my lower end pieces with better quality. I add interest and keep current with my accessories and shoes.

With gray hair and cool toned skin, I wear gray near my face and keep the brown/camel colors on my lower torso. Gray is a great neutral and it looks very lux IMHO.
I already knew those color combinations. My mother was a tailor who could measure you without any pattern and make you an outfit. She was a designer Tailor. Whom, by the way, never went to college, but was taught by my grandfather, who was a tailor who started in the late 1800s making suits for men by hand. All custom fit. And my mother was the same way only she made the shirts and made clothes from me and my children and even some of my friends. She was a genius just like her dad. Just like her dad a super empathetic sigma woman.
