We are going to see if we can get Professionaly Painted looking bumpers from a Spray can for UNDER £100 !!

What a difference! Black inserts would look good but as you said it's easy to break them. I usually put them in the oven so the glue gets soft

Hi mate yes they are a similar size, the C1 is slightly bigger as it seats 4 but it is still shorter than the original mini !! 👍👍👍

Really useful video👍 What sander was you using, looks like an air powered one but didn't think they worked too well with domestic type compressors. Cheers

Hi Mec-Tec, I would like to know what you would recommend for the Black Vinyl insert bumpers to stay “Black” as I’ve used all kinds of juice and also a lick over with gas blow torch. 🤔👍🏻

Hi bob this is a tough one, the stuff made now days is nowhere near as good as the stuff 20 years ago, when i was clearing out my grandads garage i found a small tin of some stuff called Rubberklenze, this stuff is awesome ! So i looked it up and to my amazement its still made ! So ive ordered some, il let you know if its still as good as the original stuff 👍👍

Picking up my 08 c1 this week for my daily. Can't believe you got that for 400 bargain! They all sell for loads now on eBay autotradder ect . Paying 1500 with 90k miles but just had new clutch breaks and discs, hoping it will be a reliable little motor for the work commute.
Any issues since you've had it or tips for what to look out for ?
was a bit worried with the high miles, but Toyota engine and seen loads with higher miles so hoping all ok 🤞

There are more coming in the near future, when i bought this one it had 89k on it, it on 93k now so ive not done loads but its been 100% reliable, it should prove a great commuter for you, as you say the Toyota engine is a superb little engine, as long as its kept serviced it should go on for a long while, ive seen some people getting over 200k ! Good luck with your new one ! Keep an eye out for future vids on mine 👍👍👍

Hi, the primer i used was from halfords, the basecoat colour was mixed up at my local paint suppliers and the lacquer is the Pro XL 2k laquer, this is the one with the ringpull on the bottom of the can which releases the active hardner into the laquer to make the finish alot more hard wearing, hope the helps 👍👍

Hi! Im planning on doing something like you did except the lights that I already did a couple of months ago.
Do you reckon I'll be alright with
1 spray primer 400ml
2 spray paint 400ml x2
1 clear coat 400ml ???

Hi, that should be ok, i used a 500ml can of lacquer as this will need to be applied a bit heavier to get a good shine 👍👍
Peeling seems a common problem on the red one.

What paint did you use?
