  • Found a small swarm had moved into a empty hive and when i went to open the top, the freshly made comb was to soft to handle the movement and fell. I had to save what I could. #howtokeepbees #beehives

    Nice job Brad. If you raise bees for a long time you will see and do this. You did great.🙂

    I hate it when that happens. take your rubber bands from corner to corner. you might need to tie 2 together, but go from the ear the the opposite corner. if you do the back side its easy to lay the comb in, then do the front. if you need some around the middle you can, but the cross bands will hold it while you do. makes it lots easier to frame up

    Nice job. This is my fourth year bee keeping . How long did it take you to get comfortable working without gloves ?

    • @KajunHomestead
      @KajunHomestead  3 місяці тому +3

      It really depends on the bees, I have some i can't work without gloves , cause they attack anymovement over the hive, but usally on a small hive its ok, and if its cloudy and cool i just put on the gloves. Thanks for the comment and for watching.

      @@KajunHomestead Want to know what i do with it? I just ball it up and put in the recycle bees wax. Make them do it all over again! 🙄with empty frames, or wax foundation 👉👉 Really i got away from foundation .and went brushing melted bees wax on a starter strips. Under the top bar. They drawl it out just as fast as with foundation.. Saving all that big money for; wax foundation Its a big savings
