Thank you! I loved this. In the past I’ve struggled with group interviews because I’m not very competitive and felt insecure and uncomfortable with all the “one up-ing”. This video was very empowering and has encouraged me to just center and focus on my strengths and engaging with everyone. So helpful
Im a HR professional..group interviews in front of other candidates are demoralizing and unfair to the candidate and gives the company a very bad reputation..TRUST ME...RUNNNNNN
I'm very competitive and extroverted. Good thing I watched this or else I would've totally owned the room and wouldn't have given anybody a chance to show themselves. phew . . . Update: I got the job. Thanks for the advice. ✌👍
Wooo! Now I feel more confident as an introvert hahahhahaha thankssss. I totally appreciate the perspective of not hiring the most experienced person, because as a young adult I struggled A lot due to that. But keep telling myself that I’ll prove to them if they give me an opportunity!
This was very helpful. I am told in my 1st interview yesterday that if I am seriously considered for the role, the 2nd interview would be a group interview of 3-4 candidates. I've never been in a group interview. So your tips will help me better prepare myself. Thanks for sharing.
i have a group interview today and then my personal one tomorrow so this is really helpful!! thank you so much, i’ll update in 2/3 months on whether i got in or not❤️
The depth of your knowledge is fantastic. Thank you lovely lady, I am 63 and about to go into a group interview tomorrow. This information is highly valuable to me, thank you for sharing. X
I've never heard of group interviews before arriving at the interview location to find out that's what was happening. I saw it as a sign of disrespect and walked out. Now that I understand what they are, it would've actually played greatly to my strengths. However, since I took it as a sign of disrespect, it's better I walked out.
This was a real eye-opener. I have an interview with AA for the second time and now I see I took the wrong approach last time. Thank you so much for this ❤
I'm taking notes. this interview coming up in the future, honestly makes me very nervous. it makes me sick just thinking about it 🤢 (yes I'm that nervous that I feel sick, my nerves never got that way) also how do I show eye contact without looking at them in the eye?
Oh no. I didn’t know this was a thing. It’s one thing to meet with a panel of people. To have a panel and have to share your time with other candidates sounds like a nightmare. I think I would have to excuse myself from that environment.
i was searching this because I have a group interview tomorrow i have decided I am not gonna go after seeing this cause I really don’t like to compete in big groups I rather just do a 1 on 1 and let them decide and honestly the job that wants to do this type of interview doesn’t even pay that well so I see this as kinda arrogant on their part maybe if the pay was up to par then I would be willing to go and compete in a room full of people lol I’d say look at the job and the benefits and ask yourself if it’s worth it before going to an interview like this in my case sounds like a cattle call.
Is intellectual humility important for a senior position where leadership and charisma are much valued? Is it possible to have group interview for just one single vacancy?
@@efemdesignFrom an outside perspective I would say extremely important. I’ve seen companies fall apart because the senior execs and CEO’s refuse to acknowledge they are even capable of making mistakes, leading to them making bad business error over and over again. Intellectual humility is beneficial for your higher ups and your employees because of the previous point, and because employees want to know that if they point out an error it will be addressed
Next time I would strongly suggest against nearly a quarter of the video being advocating for group interview. The audience of this video are people who wanted advice for group interviews. Not your opinions on why they're good.
One on one is better. research? You need some experience. Sitting in a room with 5 ppl who are all going for the same job tell me that, that wouldn't make someone feel like they are fighting for their life. I'm 38 I feel like a Boomer.

Group interviews for one single position is rather stupid..
Yep
yeah, just lazy minded people working in the wrong place.
HR sucks.-
It would be way more efficient to just pick the best and interview them lol
They're usually not done for one single position though, right?
@@gengarvenom1180 Usually but I did one... didn't even bother trying to stand out because you know the company is a joke doing that

I am in HR as well and feel the same way. I am an introvert so there is no way I would put myself through that level of stress.
I agree. These type of interviews have nothing to do with doing a job well done, and I feel like its cattle cart.
