i am from Bahamas...please understand most of our food are imported which adds to the high prices and even some seafoods are imported....costt of living is probably double that of US because we have to add prices on to our imported goods
You did okay I guess, with a few inaccuracies...... You're also missing a lot of details on the Western and Southern areas of Nassau. Places like the Clifton heritage village & Park, as well as, the Baha Mar water park & resort. Jet ski and powerboat adventure tours, dolphin adventure Island and lagoon, the piglet petting beach..... Along with an array of other activities and tours to be had on New Providence....... Try to explore some more on your next trip over. Nassau is way more than just Paradise Island and The Fish Fry. ☮️
Hi, thank you so much for making this video. I love your honesty on Nassau, you don't normally hear this level of detail for the Bahamas. It's usually beaches, sand, beaches, beaches and Atlantis. If possible, it would be awesome if you could do the same for other Caribbean islands and nations; when your budget allows.
I have been traveling yearly to Nassau since I was a small child (now 48 yo). I remember Paradise island before Atlantis hit it. It’s beautiful, the people are wonderful, the food is amazing. Yes it can be pricey especially if you go the Atlantis or Baha Mar route but if you actually explore the island you can do, see and eat a lot on a budget. Please respect the islands and don’t be the ugly tourists.
Thanks for this. I am doing a December visit on RC. Do you think we should just stay on board and let the kids enjoy the less crowded water activities on the ship vs. spending $ for a busy day trip to Atlantis etc?
Hiya! That depends on your situation. We are currently in Orlando and have access to some world class water parks but if you are from New York for example and this your one winter outing it may be worth it to you. Atlantis is pretty incredible even by Orlando standards. The cost for Atlantis is about $170 if booked through RC. You can do it on your own and save a little money but then are responsible for your own transportation like a cab. It’s a personal decision that is based on your families location and resources but it is an amazing water park.
It's been a few years ago that I went which was precovid and honestly, I wasn't impressed. The straw market was a bunch of vendors with similar items, the downtown shopping was minimal. We didn't make it to the beach so I'm not sure about that.

I find this to be accurate as well.
Thank you sir . The only honest review on Nassau I’ve seen
I appreciate that!

Thanks a bunch for the kind words! Budget is the key though and we are a while away from that.
I really enjoyed this video. Thanks.
Thank you Laura!
Yes, I sail there every year on my cruises. I shop there and the prices have gone up
Our observation as well.
I ❤ Nassau Bahamas better than my hometown Baltimore Maryland
Me to I want to live there
Cool!
I don't want to be rude but I mean Baltimore leaves a lot to be desired lol. Most American cities do.
How much are the lobsters at fish fry? If you don’t mind me asking.
We paid about $12. Cheaper than mainland USA but some things on the islands are very expensive. But remember some things are negotiable.

I went to the rum place where they tell you the history and how the rum is made
It’s called John Warming’s Distillery and they have a great story behind their product.

Nice video. Just one thing though, with no harm intended. Conch Fritters is pronounced: Konk Fritters
