No museum but a fun, free winery made your day. Nice trip through Nassau. Many people choose to stay on the ship but you can have a great time and see some fun sites. Great video
Great video! I loved how you showcased Nassau's diverse attractions. Thanks for sharing these valuable tips and insights - it's definitely inspired me to plan my own adventure there. Keep up the awesome work!
The fort looks quite cool and the viewpoints from there a great also. The wine tasting looks great and the fort charlotte look great to explore as well. Nice one!
I went to Nassau like 20 years ago. But I flew there with my family and stayed at the Atlantis. I’ve always loved the colorful buildings there. And I love trying to runs of the Caribbean. So I would love to go to the rum tasting! Cheers!
Nassau Bahamas looked unreal it's beautiful I loved the staircase made from 1 rock but sad built by slaves. Forts looked lovely great views and good price. Very informative as usual 👏
Arrr the SALTY CRAB! sorry that's what stuck in my mind along with the lack of people! But who DOESNT love to have a fort to themselves???? It certainly didn't mean you had a rum time. Ok. Sorry. I'll stop now. great video Sara!
Honestly I like a bit of both. This one we really saw a lot and could go at our own pace. But we also walked through some areas that maybe we shouldn't have. So I do like the idea of being with a small from that standpoint. And if we ever go anywhere that's farther from the cruise ship, I'd probably still book through the ship so we don't risk getting left behind 😬
Nassau! I want to do the Bahamas so bad. I love taking ideas from other tours and then incorporating my own spin and my own take. The road up the Queens Staircase looks awesome. The government house is some amazing architecture. The umbrellas lining the heritage village streets remind me of Mexico. Meh wineries are more fun than museums anyway 😁. Nassau has an interesting history. From Spanish, French, British and Pirates. Mmm Caribbean Rum. Fort Charlotte looks cool.
Nassau was just substituted for Labadee on my December cruise, and I was pretty bummed thinking that there was nothing to do there. BOY WAS I WRONG! Thanks for this informative video.
Other than the lack of sidewalks, did you feel safe/comfortable walking around Nassau 'unguided'? I know there is a lot of talk on cruise ship forums about Nassau as a cruise stop and it not being the safest place to explore.
We felt pretty safe in most areas. Some spots we walked through did not feel safe to us, and I think that was our own fault for not researching where we were walking.
Nassau looks beautiful but...do people actually live there? No one ever makes videos showing us the neighborhoods, the locals and their homes, their local stores or malls, their schools. All we ever see are the touristy places. There's got to be more to the Bahamas than this.
Yes, Nassau has a population of over 200,000 surprisingly! The neighborhoods and homes are nice for the most part but like anywhere else there are good areas and then the less good ones
I can't believe you did all of that in four hours, very impressive!
We were very efficient!! It might have been closer to 5 hours by the time we meandered back to the ship 🤣
Nassau looks like an amazing place to explore, lots of greenery, beautiful views and happening vibes. Love the bright sunny day

Super cool place to visit in person! Very different from Nassau in Assassin's Creed: Black Flag.
Lol I was just playing that last night with my son. I have a trip planned and was thinking the same thing
Haha yes, it's definitely something to see in person - not on your game 🤣
Well probably nothing could be added to that video , well done 👏. My favourite place : straw market,
Thanks so much!

Nassau is not that boring place indeed :) It's a pleasant town as well.
Very informative
Glad it was helpful!
Great vid, thanks for the advice !
Happy to share!
Very helpful tips, thank you! Can't wait to visit Nassau in a few months!
Glad it could be helpful, enjoy your visit!
Nassau looks like a neat town. I didn’t realize there is so much to do and see there!
Summer every day 😊
Yes, beautiful!
I would definitely prefer taking my own tour! I appreciate your views and video. I would never want a guided tour! Thank you.🌴
Happy to share our experiences. Thanks for watching!

Very informative as usual 👏
Straw market is really cool. Theres a few woodworking shops behind it, with some small “mom and pop” restaurants

So, now that you've tried cruise tours and self-guided tours which do you prefer most? It looks like you saw a lot more self-guided.

Finally found a good video about Nassau without Shops and other tourists stupid spots. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it.

Back for some more Nassau fun
Thank you for visiting my beautiful country of Nassau Bahamas
We had a wonderful time!!

Glad it could be helpful! Hope you enjoy your cruise.
Looks cool, what month did you go.
We were there in October
@@TheAverageTourist going in December, I hope it’s as beautiful.

Thank you, did you needed to take the passport off the cruise
We always do just in case
Thanks for the video, if you can be honest do you feel safe in the Bahamas? Thanks

How are they handling the security outside the new port? I'll be there in August.
We didn't really notice a lot of security outside of the port... except to get back into the port area itself.
@TheAverageTourist No incidents. I know they're at level 2 but we're at level 2 in the US. So that's not saying much. Everything was safe?
Which month was it ? Thank you
We were there in October.
Do you remember what day of the week it was? It seems like you had so many places to yourself
Nass-OWW?!
🤦♀️ yes, we know now 🤣
That's not how i imagined Nassau. No buildings to climb on
It’s not Germany. It’s Nass Awe
The struggle was real. We pronounced it at least 10 different ways 🤦♀️

Agreed!
You should go to the zoo
Next time we will!
