That was my first motorcycle. It was quick, comfortable, I liked the looks, and I absolutely loved it. The newer ones are much faster, better handling, better braking, but there is something cool about the old ones. That bike just looks like home to me.
I owned a 1986 A2 model back in 1989/90 when I first passed my test. Blue and white still have some photos of me sitting on it. Always regret selling it.
Memories this is the first bike that got me interested in wanting to ride and wanting to race. A friend of mine back in the day had that bike so I had an opportunity to ride one. I loved it and the rest is history. Thanks for memories
My first streetbike was a 1986 ninja 600 with 12k miles and a yoshi pipe and that was back in 1988. I loved that bike rode it everywhere. It looked so good back then it would turn heads everywhere.
1985 was the first year of the perimeter frame I bought the first one from Putnam Kawasaki. This is an awesome bike to own I will never sell mine. This color was not available in 1985. Always in the market for more of them.
The GPZ600r is an amazing bike, I had the 86 version and I loved that bike. You can ride these bikes to the max. I traded mine in for a Suzuki RG250 Gamma, then regretted it. I've had so many bikes over the years and still have a collection now, my 1986 CR500 being my beast. Thank's for the memory of my favorite 80s bike. Regards Chris 👍🇬🇧
I had one just like that, bought brand new rode it every weekend from Charleston SC to Greensboro NC and back to see my girlfriend at the time. Most beautiful (imo) bike ever made.
I literally just bought this same exact bike from a guy who was refurbishing it and I had no idea it was this rare. Except for a sprocket cover and fairing bolts, it’s all OEM. I was going to sell it but now I’m having second thoughts.
In 85 this 600 was king great power 11k redline and looked like a racebike of the era with lights. I sold mine to buddy who traded it later for car. That was 1990 i am still very mad at myself for selling it. In 85 that bike was top tech bike.
Mmm 1986 I was so young. I would love to find my 1st ride 1983 Honda XL185 . Rode that thing every where. Back when u could get your motorcycle license 1st before your drivers license. Great channel !
I had red white 1985 first yr of this model 85 86 87 were exact same bikes, perimeter frame and all. Started in 85. Put close to 70k miles, one failure in those 6 yrs one plug wire went bad. Rode it like i stole it. Was bullet proof.
Ive got one now needs work looks good but went down at some point ive never rode it maybe has 6000 miles pretty sure less also have 900 same year and paint love that one
I like how he integrated the rear turn signals into the body work. I had this same exact bike. I traded in my 1981 LTD 750 to buy the 600R. That is the best color. The red and white one wasn't as pretty.
There’s a guy I know that’s selling it for 1400, needs new battery and fuel and a tune up. Been sitting in a storage unit for years. Is it worth buying? Looks in excellent condition
I would like to ride this bike back to 1986, and stay there.
That was my first motorcycle. It was quick, comfortable, I liked the looks, and I absolutely loved it. The newer ones are much faster, better handling, better braking, but there is something cool about the old ones. That bike just looks like home to me.

I think RGV250 cannot be compared to this bike.RGV is two stroke and way more fun in my opinion
I just picked up this very model but red.. very cheap and its become a cult hero bike.. so many people say how they all regretted selling theirs.
I bought that same bike exact bike brand new in 86 when I was stationed in San Diego. Loved it and really miss it.
I owned a 500 Interceptor and my buddy had one of those Ninjas. As much as I loved my VF, I was always envious of his bike.

This bike came out when I bought my 84 Gpz550A1. The 600 was a crotch rocket. In the 80s.

I remember that I wanted this bike in high school. I ended up getting a GSX-R 750 when I went to college.
It is a time machine, beautiful.
