I had a '82 GS 750E. It had the TSCC 4-valve head. Totally stock. Bought it for $250 back in '99. it had sat for 15 years in storage. Only had 10k miles on it .Went through everything after that fired right up!! It had the 85mph speedo, it would bury it in easily in 3rd gear. From about 6700 - 10k rpm you better hold on tight!!..Fast bike!! Love it!! Must say that 1100 is beautiful!! Love those classic Japanese air cooled bikes!! They had the most amazing sound!!
One gorgeous and sick bike. Your mechanic, Jimmy Laurenitis is definitely a cool guy, and his mechanical skills are damn impressive. Y'all truly have the best of the best working for Y'all, which equals happy and loyal return customers. You definitely know how to pick them, Brother! Much love and respect.
I had that very bike in 2002. Bought it from my brother who left it sit outside in harsh weather. Restored it and it ran great. I never realized what a GEM I had. Had to sell it...just like I sold my 1968 Mustang GT back then too. UGH! Great bike. thanks for the video!
I absolutely love this Motorcycle, we call it the GSX1100E over in the UK. I like everything about this bike, I've even got used to the rectangular headlamp. I had a little GSX 250 in the same colour and this bike brings back a lot of nostalgia. It's got the right upright street fighter style riding position and it's just a great looking, well built bike. As you often say Ken "She's a Beauty." This is my absolute dream bike. Made my day seeing you rip around on this, absolutely awesome Motorcycle.
My brother had a GS1000 and friend of his had a GS1100. Both wicked fast and then I got a V65. Still think my V65 could’ve taken them. I’d take any of the three. I recently purchased a V65 because I missed mine of my youth. Funny how police have no sense of humor. Watching your channel has rekindled my love of vintage bikes. Picked up a 1972 Honda CB350 I’m going to work on this winter.
My very first street bike at 18 was a 1980 GS1100E I bought from my dad. Burgundy red, red pinstriped. Individual intakes each carb., jetted up, Yoshimura 4into1 header and "alien" style cafe fairing. Badass bike and I regret trading it for a sandrail. Used to bracket race at orange county raceway in 80s. Would like to own another one.
Back in the day I wanted to buy a Katana 1100 so bad. Loved the Suzuki’s based on this TSCC power plant. I did own and ride an FJ1100 and a V65 Magna, but never an air cooled Suzuki. Also owned and rode a ‘93 ZX11D Kawasaki for 12 years. Need to check off the Suzuki streetbike box someday.
The little old man that owned that must of had a wild side.those headers are sweet but this thing was king of the hill for a good minute.always liked Suzuki but never had one.this would have been nice.like the twilight integrated to the tool compartment.another gem!
This was my favorite bike owned in the 80s. Fast, comfortable and reliable. Had I seen this video when the bike was for sale, I would have jumped on it!
@@KeepingWatch95Your welcome, if you search for K&R Motorsports Ltd my son and I posted 2 short videos about some of our Suzuki’s. They’re not the best but we’ll get better videos in the future. The Black GS1100 only has 144 Kms or about 90 original miles on it. It truly is a beauty.
Reminds me of a 78 KZ1000 I had long ago. Except it had a 4 into 1 Kerker with the baffle material gutted out. Was hella loud my neighbors just loved me warming it up early in the morning
Suzuki and Kawasaki have excellent bottom ends for drag racing etc. I have a 1983 GPZ1100. Fuel injection off, smooth bores on. It still fly’s! Whenever Im talking to a younger person about it, I say ‘see that?’ They say, ‘What?’ I say, ‘That big black thing’. They say, ‘whats that?’ I say ‘its a fucking engine!’ I would love to see a Katana on here Snr. Memories, like something something something......cheers from downunder 👍🏻🇦🇺
Twin Swirl Combustion Chamber was first used on Merlin engine..... Keith Duckworth Cosworth DFV F1 V8 engine ......also on the 16 Valve Dolomite Sprint....in 1970s
I had a '81 exactly like it but mine was blue and not silver gray like this one. The '81 was like the '80 in every way but the '80 had an off idle stumble at low revs that Cycle World mentioned as fixed with the 1981. Don't remember what caused the slight surge and stumble of the 1980 but I think it was carb related?
Only 1980 was this colour, cylinder heads do not have rubber dampeners between the fins, fuel petcock location and size is 1980 only, in 81 they moved it forward to allow a larger unit with controls. This style/ design was 1980/81, in 1982 the design changed to a round headlight amongst other things. The GS1100E model ran from 1980 till 1983. @@KeepingWatch95
@@yoshy4072 (edited) Mine must have been an 81. I couldn't remember the year. Mine was black with the rectangle headlight. Beautiful, smooth and well balanced bike. I bought mine used in about 1983 or 1984 from a Suzuki dealer in my city at that time. Great - great bike.
I just picked up an original owner 81 GS1100E with 17,000 miles on it. I am beyond excited!!!
When I was 16 I bought a 1980 GS 1100 E my first Street bike, and I'm still alive to tell about it is a miracle lol.
Bought a 1981 GS1100 when I was 22. Same

There is something special with old bikes. Just fantastic.

Hi from the UK 🇬🇧. I just bought a 1981 GS1000G. Fully restored, same paint as that 1100. Suzukis heyday.

Such great bikes! I have a black/red '81 1100E, plus two Katana's, an '82 and an '83. Wonderful bikes.

Super clean and sounds great 💪😎 god blessed America 🇺🇸
What is your choice for daily packing firearm?? If you don't mind?? My oldman and you share the passion for buck knifes so curious of the firearm
357 RUGER, GLOCK 9MM & A BARETTA
Those beat every kz or xs or cb,they had more power and handled good.
Thought the first 16v twin cam Japanese production bike was the Honda CB750 / 900 super sport.
I had an 82 super quick
There's a guy in my area selling one. He says it's stuck in 1st gear,. Do you think it could be the clutch cable or something else?
Do you remember the Yamaha V Max? What is your opinion of that bike.
Super Duper Bike 🚀
My brother has an 82 GS 1100 that he restored.
Silver and red were 1980. Blue and black were 1981.
