So, I have two take aways from this video Kevin. First thing is, most people would never take the time to make pork rinds, nor would they even know how to start. Second thing is the passion you have with every cooking video you do shows me you really try not to waist anything and use everything you can. I enjoyed the fact you made PORK RINDS. Coming from the restaurant business, you made me smile. Great video..
Thank you very much, Tom! I know most people wouldn't make their own pork rinds, but at least now they have a resource if they decide to. They are really super easy and have very few steps. Each step takes minutes to do. There's just a lot of time between them. Same with low and slow cooking, making jerky, etc. I know you can grab a bag at the store for a buck, but... Fresh is soooo much better! And like you said, I hate to see things you pay for go to waste. 😁 I hope you and Marie have a fantastic day!👍🙂
I’ll have to watch the pork shoulder next! I absolutely love crispy pork rinds. We’re doing low carb right now so this is a real treat Kevin. Cheers!!!!
Thanks, Theresa! I will say that making these yourself is way better than the ones you get in a bag. And hey, if you happen to get a pigskin, it's a great way to use it. It's an easy pro ess, but you must be willing to wait 😁 I hope you have a wonderful day!👍😊
Heck Yeah Kevin deep fried all the way definitely the perfect snack ....and yes it is a process indeed. Take care and have yourself a great one my brother . Cheers!
Definitely deep fried, Stephen! Yes, only 4 steps, but each step there is time involved. But super easy to make and a great use of a pig skin if you end up with one. I hope you have an awesome weekend, brother!👍👊🍻
this is great kevin. never made chicharrones but I can tell you first hand, I can easily inhale a bag of chicharrones during a game. especially the ones with a little chili/salt powder. good stuff!
They are a great snack, Sal!!! And if you have a pigskin, make pork rinds! Sure, it's a little process, but each step only takes a few minutes. And the skin doesn't go to waste! Have an awesome weekend, brother!👍✌️🍻
That’s the way you do it. I did it one time. I usually just make Cracklin’s / Chicorones / Gratons out of them. It is too easy for me to by the pig skin poppping pellets at local meat market. You did an excellent job of showing us how to do it.
Thank you, Big Lew! Oh yeah, they are easy to just grab a bag, but when there's a skin on that pork, you gotta use it! Cracklings are delicious as well, but these pork rinds! Man, they were good! I hope you have an awesome weekend, brother!👍✌️
That’s excellent! I worked a cotton gin on weekends during high school in the early 80s in fabens tx. There was a a dirt lot next to it and a couple older boys would make chincherones in a big iron pot over some mesquite. A little chile arbol and some cold beer brings back a lot of memories.
That's awesome, Scott! I bet those chincherones were amazing! Ah, the memories of days past! It was a great time to grow up, that's for sure! These were so good, I want more!😁 Easy to make, and the pigskin doesn't go to waste! I hope you have an awesome weekend, brother!👍✌️🍻
Thanks, Troy! Definitely deep-fried for me! They came out more airy, and they seriously weren't oily. Plus, you can add any seasoning you like when you make them yourself. I hope you have an awesome weekend!👍🍻
Those look great Kevin! Both from air fryer and deep fryer looked fantastic. I may have to try this sometime. I love pork rinds and the good thing about it, is pork rinds have fewer calories, less fat, less carbohydrates than chips. Have a great day brother!😋👍
If you get a pigskin, definitely make these! They don't take all that long. Each process takes minutes. You just have to wait on the dehydration. Once they are dehydrated, you can save them and fry them up when you're ready. I hope you have an awesome weekend, brother Charley!👍✌️🍻
Thanks, Luis! To me, it's a great way to use that pigskin and not let it go to waste! They are so good and worth a little effort. Have an awesome weekend, brother!👍🍻
Yup, 4 steps. Boil, cool, remove the fat. Dehydrate. Fry. Easy peasy, each step just takes a bit of time. But it's a great way to use a pigskin if you get one. Have an awesome day, brother Zach!!!👍✌️🍻
Yep, there ya go, Brian! Turn that pigskin into a delicious snack! It appears like a long process, but each step only takes a few minutes to prepare. And these are way better than what you can buy in the store!!! I hope you have an awesome day, brother!👍✌️🍻
😁 Thanks, Darrell! What can I say, I love food! 😄 And I hate wasting the parts that a lot of people toss out! Pork rinds are so tasty, too! I know you can just grab a bag, but there's nothing like homemade! I hope you have an awesome weekend, cuz!!!👍✌️
Hey, Scott! Yeah, for pork rinds, you gotta dehydrate them. Chicharrones, you don't, and you don't remove the fat. Both are so tasty! Pork rinds are such a great snack and a great use of a pigskin! I hope all is well! I haven't been getting notifications of videos from you?🤔 I guess I need to go take a look! Have an awesome weekend, brother!👍✌️
Deep-fried for me, too! The air fried was good, just not as airy. And the deep-fried wasn't oily either! I hope you have an awesome weekend, Anadi!!!👍✌️
🤣 These have been awesome snacks, way before Keto existed! It's a great way to use a pigskin, for sure, and just a few steps. Each step just takes a bit of time, but the end result is way better than the ones you get in a bag... Have a great day, brother!👍✌️🍻
Hahaha, yeah, if something is hot, I get the hiccups. When they subside, I can eat as hot as I want... weird... Honestly, the steps only take a few minutes. The longest, obviously, is waiting for them to dehydrate. But, you can prepare these and fry them up whenever you're ready. They are a great snack! And the pigskin doesn't go to waste! I hope you have an awesome weekend, brother Rob!!!👍✌️🍻🍻🍻
Oh man, that hell hath no fury hot salt is the bomb! I don't know why if something is hot, I get the hiccups? But when they go away, bring on the heat! These were way better than store bought! See ya guys in a couple of weeks!👍✌️🍻
The Chicharrones look pretty good Kevin. I make burritos or tacos with small flour tortillas. And with some homemade salsa. Enjoy them Kevin they sound pretty good. Have a great day.
Chicharrones are so tasty, too, Robert, and having them in tortillas sound pretty amazing!!! I order them when at restaurants that serve them, but they usually only come as a side. These pork rinds make a nice light snack, and they are so easy to make! I hope you have an awesome weekend, brother!👍✌️🍻
Well, there ya go, Patrick! It's really pretty simple. A few steps, but time for each step. The end result is definitely YUMMO! And definitely deep fried for me too!!! Have an awesome day, brother!👍🍻

Very interesting. I didn't know you had to dehydrate them first. I guess it's a good thing I watched your video 🙂
Hey, Scott! Yeah, for pork rinds, you gotta dehydrate them. Chicharrones, you don't, and you don't remove the fat. Both are so tasty! Pork rinds are such a great snack and a great use of a pigskin! That's a lot of work but I bet it's worth it, especially thinking of all the different seasoning flavors you could use.
It's a little work. But they are soooo tasty! And yes, making them yourself, the seasonings are unlimited. Have an awesome weekend, Tim!👍✌️🍻
Very cool video Kevin. Takes some work but I know these were good. That hot salt gave you the hiccups......Wow!
I love these snacks. I go for deep fried as snacks shouldn’t be healthy.
😂 Thanks, Hans! These are healthier than potato chips, so 🤔 Nah, I'll keep these!!! I hope you have an awesome day, brother!👍😋
Those look good. I’m ready for a couple of spicy pork rinds. Hope I don’t get the hiccups! 😂
Oh man, that hell hath no fury hot salt is the bomb! I don't know why if something is hot, I get the hiccups? But when they go away, bring on the heat! These were way better than store bought! See ya guys in a couple of weeks!👍✌️🍻

👍👍.................
Thank you!👍✌️🍻
All that good collagen and flavor wasted by cooking it in seed oil, should fry them in lard!!
Thanks for checking this out!👍
Why does it need to be dehydrated when you're going to fry them??
Thanks for checking this out! So they puff up when you fry them. You need to get all the moisture out of the skin. I hope you have an awesome day!👍✌️
