I had to rewatch this video. This is how I found their channel a couple years ago. Watching culvert videos. I've been watching ever since. God continue to bless this Sonne family. Amen Ed from Chicago 😊
I love seeing you lovingly working with your Father. Such a great example to us all. Dang hard workers too! Thank you for making videos so fun to watch.
I came across your channel and I'm binge watching. I really think all kids should watch these and truly know what dedication and outstanding work ethic looks like. Farmers and ranchers are so under appreciated. Awesome
I agree, sad part is when kids choose to further a career in such things even the guidance counselor looks at them like its a waste My daughter 16 gets everyone she tells she plans on going university for " Bachelor in Bio-resource Management with a major in Equine " gives her looks like what a waste I am not sure why maybe because we live in the city and peolle just ignorant to farming or anything large animal related because its hard work We were joking that if she told them she was pursuing a career at McDonald's she would get better results.. BTW nothing wrong with working a McDonald's just somewhere to compare too
Back in my farming days it was said - you can fix anything with baling wire and a pair of pliers. This was before duck tape if you had'nt already guessed. Cheers.....
I love your videos. You so make me smile and laugh out loud. When i am watching your videos it is very early in the morning here in the UK. I have trouble sleeping. I have to remember that the rest of my family are in bed asleep. I love the way you both work well together, and you banter off each other. I didnt know what you were saying when the wind was blowing hard but it still made me smile. Thank you both and keep up the hard work. Keep safe.
I had an issue w flooding and didn’t have near that much water and had to go up to a 36” pipe. Otherwise it was flooding the 18” pipe so bad and it backed up and it finally rose up and flowed over the ground. You may have issues if it still flows Unless it’s moving slow. I had bought new 18” then had to buy a 36”. More expensive than I bargained for. But it’s all flowing nice and not a stagnant water hole and or flooding. Y’all did a good job
That bearing is fun. I have one in the shop to put on my gator as we speak. Wait until you tear that boot right there. You can to replace the whole shaft all the way through the tunnel to the front. It’s fun. I’ve done it twice!
Future reference.... dig settlement holes on both sides of the pipe about 1.5 to 2 feet lower so mud and dirt will settle in the holes not the pipes.. the way you have it now mud and dirt will settle in the pipe from day 1.....
You guy doe a phenomenal job of farming you always on top of everything your equipment looks great as you take very good care of it you said your dad was planting 63 acres an hour I can remember when we were happy to plant a hundred acres a day along day I was very much like you when I was young worked my tail off and was so eager to learn your a good man and a great farmer God bless and keep up the good hard work ow by the way like your Trump sign
Great video!! Gettin close to 50k!! U had less then 10k when I subscribed, and I couldn’t believe that was all u had. I hope to see u hit 100k soon. Stay safe!!
another great video, cute little calf, so windy almost blew the hair off your head, and yes lube and w/d 40 works wonders great for drag nite, lol , love you mate be safe take care hugs.
Should have just put down some of that gravel to level the ditch before laying the pipe in it. Easier than leveling with the dirt. Did that a lot working for the state highway department
“Smells like Taco Bell the next day - ROFLMAO.” Thanks for the laughs, guys! Makes working from home a lot easier when I can take a break and watch “Keeping Up with the Sonnes!”
just guessing here... more intake? bulls gain faster so maybe they drink more milk. But in my experience a sick feedlot heifer is easier to cure than a sick bull.
Brian Sonne, I guess the salesmen are good but the parts guys and mechanics are just plain lazy and try to squeeze us out of every penny. But I can probably guess that has something to do with corporate. Haha
Oh no, better keep Papa Bear off the Ebay! I swear, teenage girls and men old enough to know better are the worst about that... But anyway, I know it sucks that you're not at school right now, but it's so apparent that your dad is happy to have you there working with him. And not just for the cheap labor. Whether he tells you so or not, it's pretty apparent he's having a good time. You two look like mischievous kids together sometimes!
The way the Corps of Engineers did snitches is that they will go to their lowest spot dig down maybe a foot and start from there working your way back up to you should always dig from the lowest end to the highest end.
The reason dirt disappears when you dig a hole depends on the moon yeah Wrong Side of the Moon you'll need dirt right side of the moon you'll have extra dirt
its nice to see father and son working side by side

Never did I think that watching farm life on a South Dakota ranch would be so darned enjoyable! Greetings folks, from South Wales, UK.
Thanks 👍
Hey Cole and Brian, good job on installing the pipe.Looking forward to your next video.
Thanks 👍
Your Dad and MN Farmer have something in common. They seem to find lots of road kill🤣
“Come here often?”😜😳🤣
First time I’ve seen your dad petting Ellie. New born calves are so precious. I never would’ve known.
nice farm, I grew up in outside of Aberdeen during the 50 - 60's worked in Twin city for about 40 years now retired in Alabama

7:14 As Cloe was saying "We are going to have to dig this out....." Dad was say, to himself, "We?" 7:27
We just had very high winds and driving rains last night and I'm in New Hampshire....You all be safe and healthy
You too!

Good fences make good neighbors. I heard that once or twice.
Interesting video!!! Loved the end when Dad came home with more STUFF!!!😂😂😂
Calves being born and Cole didn't gag once! Must have been a good day!
Hehe😅
Congrats of the new addition to your herd.
Great opening! A new calf in the world!!
Wd40, baler twine/string and duct tape are a farmers best friend, I have been saying it for a long time now
really good video, man that wind really blows there, i guess because it's to flat and no trees, very enjoyable
What's even better than WD-40 is Pam cooking spray from the kitchen NorthernCalifornia
Another good day on the farm!
Incredible how close to 50k subscribers. It seems like just last week it was at about 1500 when I subscribed. Keep up the great videos.
You've been here a while! I appreciate it so much! Thanks Logan
Nice to see someone from SD making some content shout out from Pierre/Germany!
Hey, thanks!

WD-40 and duct tape can definitely fix anything. Gotta say Cole you're the hottest farmer on youtube! Love the videos!
That is the first time I've seen Ally clean :)
You guys make staying home fun.
If it moves and it isn't supposed to, use duct tape. If it doesn't move and it is supposed to, use WD40.
Wd40, baler twine/string and duct tape are farmers best friends, it's what I always say
In the lab they called it "Water Displacement Formula, 40" They must have had 39 other formulas that didn't work as well.
Gene Dameier That indeed is where the name comes from. Used to douse Atlas missiles in the stuff to keep them good.
I always love to watch a cow with her new calf....
Good video Cole & Brian congrats on the new calf stay safe yal Daniel from central Mississippi
Thanks! Will do!

Lol you two are fantastic
Wind like Oklahoma. Nice job on culvert
Thanks 👍
Hey Cole, I see a fixer upper behind you...when you decide to get your own place, there it is just waiting for ya!!
Future reference.... dig settlement holes on both sides of the pipe about 1.5 to 2 feet lower so mud and dirt will settle in the holes not the pipes.. the way you have it now mud and dirt will settle in the pipe from day 1.....
Makes sense! Thanks!
Awesome Video As Always!!!
Thanks for the visit
Great video, thanks for sharing, water, mud and muck, oh boy.

Just wondering if the words " laying pipe" has the same ;) meaning as it does here in south Georgia... hahaha!!!
“Smells like Taco Bell the next day - ROFLMAO.” Thanks for the laughs, guys! Makes working from home a lot easier when I can take a break and watch “Keeping Up with the Sonnes!”

Nice job men
How do you like the gator, gets lots of use, hows it holding up?
For a second I thought I had tuned into an old video of the Dukes of Hazzard.
Just about at 50K...!!!
Yes!!
Ok Dr Sonne, question; why am i having a bigger issue with bull calves having more aggressive scours than heifers?
just guessing here... more intake? bulls gain faster so maybe they drink more milk. But in my experience a sick feedlot heifer is easier to cure than a sick bull.
how about some tree planting ..... animal protection, slows the wind and top soil erosion slows
Won’t be able to drive by a Taco Bell 🛎 without thinking of you two hauling a$$ slinging stinky mud and slime! 😂😂
Nice entertainment today, 👍👍
Cole should fix up that old house across the street, a party place
Nice to see cole doing the heavy lifting 😏
Yep, WD-40 and Duct Tape fixes just about anything
BW YinYang get that gorilla tape. It’s better I believe you can get it at Lowe’s.
Funny Farm that stuff is so Strong 💪🏼 need a REAL MAN to drag me off a piece!
But can duct tap fix a leaky wd40 can?
@@TheAndero Ya willing to experiment?
And a hammer lol! If all else fails x😂
I noticed your dad was wearing a c and b operations jacket. What’s your view on them because the one in Wagner isn’t very helpful
There is alot of really good guys that work in mitchell.
Brian Sonne, I guess the salesmen are good but the parts guys and mechanics are just plain lazy and try to squeeze us out of every penny. But I can probably guess that has something to do with corporate. Haha

Very much! We have been running honda for a long time!
@@SonneFarms Ok thx
You forgot to add baling twine/wire as well.
Do you watch Cole the Corn star on UA-cam? I'll call you Cole the Cow Star.
check out Farmer Dre growing tomatoes!
Why cut the culvert? Some day you might want to run through there with larger equipment.
I need a case of WD40 + 1000 rolls of duct tape then to fix my knee please Cole! LOL! 🤣🙏💙🦘
Good lord how many acres do you have?
Was that a dead calf on the fence line?
Nope! They take really deep naps! The other day I was standing 5 feet from a calf talking on the phone and it didn't wake up until I poked it haha
@@SonneFarms ..oh good..rhank you for responding...hope all is well with you folks
how many cows do you have
Too many...
Sonne Farms 😂but how many

That's my motto, duc tape can fix anything
That smells like Taco Bell
Taco Bell the next...... day..... yep....
If you can't fix it with Duct Tape your not using enough Duct Tape
lol
Sloppy mess yuck but it done good job
If you can’t fix it with duke tape or balding wire it not worth fixing
You
Are cows would have ate us the second we got within 50 feet
Man this farm is a mess I can't believe the neglect of the upkeep
