The next time you're whining about the cost of beef, it's time to recognize Cole earned a whopping $88 a day and the work doesn't look easy. The cost of food has nothing to do with the farmer they are busting their humps 365 days a year. Time to focus on those who are driving costs through the roof and support those who are growing it. This channel has given me a new appreciation for the American Farmer. In the words of Brian Sonne, "That's all I have to say about that".

Ranchers deserve a big raise!! Hard work, huge inputs, and massive risk should count for something!! You really have great looking cattle, and you videos are great!! Keep up the great work and keep the videos coming!!!

ROFL. Could you show your ignorance anymore? Ranchers work for themselves. What raises the profits is supply and demand. So tell your dorky friends, tell your dorky neighbors, tell your dorky relatives to stop whining about slaughter houses and meany farmers ... to shut up and eat beef. Only way ranchers would make more money.

You've got the same arrangement with your dad that I had with mine when I was in high school. I had a small row crop patch attached to a bigger field that belonged him. The first year I got paid for that was either 1969 or 70 and the first check I got was for $1600. He handed me that check and said that was more money than he made the year I was born. The first thing I bought was a beer for the two of us. Mine was of the root variety though!

Your videos bring me happiness and sadness. Happy to see how you two work so well together and your agreement. Sad because I worked for 25 years building my dad's 4 million dollar operation by the hour with him claiming I was working for my future but in the end my two sisters got every penny and I got nothing, He claimed the farm could not support two families and I had to leave because I could not pay my insurance, heating and groceries and other bills on my $500 a month income. He went from milk 70 head of dairy year around and farming 1200 acres to selling the cows and dropping to 600 acres of the land he owned after I left. One of those family things that I had two deaths in one year. My dad's death and the day the will was read and I was intentionally omitted completely from the will. Even with me leaving my dad and mom and I always got along and not any idea it would go that way it did. The two sisters never ever had a thing to do with the farm. I guess greed has no boundaries. Thanks for your great videos Cole and I hope my wife and I can drive the 4-5 hours this summer to meet you guys. Thanks again. Any RV parks in your area?

Fascinating! Great drone shots. Well now, CEO Cole? Ever since I watched your talk on starting your UA-cam channel I knew you would excel at whatever you did. Don't spend that check all on your wedding now. Great working relationship with your dad. and your uncle. But you and your dad are the best. God bless and keep you. You inspire young farming entrepreneurs.

Your cattle look so healthy and happy. I really appreciate how you handle them with kindness and respect. After all, these animals give their lives to grace our dinner table and fill our bellies. I also love the fact that you use the “slappy” and not the nipping, biting dogs.
I see at the auction that Sonne farms has built up quite up a reputation in the industry. High standards and hard work pays off👍❤️👍

That was darned impressive. Brian was on the phone last fall buying cattle because you had enough feed for more. He was right. And then to load three semis full, steers and heifers looking good and ready for finishing, means applause for Jeff, Brian, and Cole. Drone footage was great, too, showing how you handle that number of cattle. A top notch video.

Drone shots of the cattle loading were great, Cole. I drove a cattle liner once about 100 miles while the real driver caught some Zs. Pay days don't come around that often for the farmer, and when they do, it's best not to try to work the number back to an hourly wage. It's a long term proposition, for sure. So glad there are young men still willing to put on their boots every morning and keep the family farms going. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for a great video on sale day. Was most interesting.
Thanks for doing the drone and music on sale day when the trucks come. To me, when the big haulers come it is time to benefit from a lot of hard work. Nice haulers you had come. Good equipment. Bad on the day our livestock were hauled by straight truck and can remember when the new trailers of today came out we thought that was first class. I would always ride to the sale barn with the last truck, was a big deal for me.
I thought the sale barn gave Sonne Farms some real good words as the sale started. Lived in Mitchell for a year and have been to the sale barn there many times. Good one.
I am super pleased that Brian and Cole did well at the sale barn. You both are most deserving for your efforts at having such excellent livestock for sale. People in the area know that name. Congratulations to both of you!!!!!’
Cole glad you did well. Do appreciate you seeing a good income off your herd. Know you have that wedding coming up, hang in there.
You and your dad have an outstanding setup the way you work your income and working with dad on the farm. Brian , my compliments to you for getting your son up on his feet and having a good arrangement on what you give Cole for his part of the farm operation. Brings back a lot of memories back in my day. I worked on two family farms and had good arrangements with both on how I was rewarded.
Good to see Jeff and have him in the conversations. Hi to Jeff.
    Trust he did well also.
Happy day for me with your video. Really pleased you both did well on the sale. You both are excellent herdsmen and pleased you were rewarded. High fives for Sonne Farms!!!!
Glad you are getting rain for the crop land. Fertilizer such has went up in price-wow. Put an armed guard on that load you got/ha!!!!
Good punch line for Storla Station. Trust business continues to increase all the time. Your videos make my day. So enjoyable and makes my heart glad at the wonderful relationship Cole and Brian have!!!!! Just great!!!!
Guess I better be quiet before you shut me off.
You both take care and be safe.
Looking forward to the next video.
    Thanks for everything.
    The Iowa farm boy.
    Steve.

Cole, another great video! Growing up on our family dairy farm here in Missouri my parents had a similar arrangement with me concerning my cattle - they provided all of the feed & vet care for my cattle in exchange for my labor on the farm. Those cattle paid for my first car and then put me through college.

I believe I’d put an armed guard on that fertilizer considering how expensive it is right now. The economics of how you guy’s run that place shouldn’t matter to anyone but you. The most important thing is that you keep your heads above water and that Brian passing on what his Father knew to you and so on is the most important part in that way of life because it’s working. Thanks as always for the content and hopefully that’s also helpful. Make it all count!

Happy to see that you got some good sale prices and some rain coming in too! We have had another wacky weather time going from snow & ice to 65 degrees over just one day. Sure hoping for more moisture for sure. I saw a packaged Stroopwaffle at the store the other day so I had to try it out of course. I can see why the excitement over these things is very real. YUM! You probably have an entire aisle at Storla Station for them right? Lol!

Spot on drone work Cole. The cattle sale went well for you and your family. I'm not sure about the price of fertiliser in the states, in britain it's gone up to £1200 per ton of nitrogen. The effort you and your family in, not just feeding the nation but also showing the working of the farm is great. 👍

If the adverts are what’s needed to keep you going its no big deal I will still watch your channel as the content is real life documentary of cow farming. Keep up the good work.

I work for a Cardiologist who also raises Beef Cattle, he is currently raising one for me!! It will be ready in July. I told him that I watch your channel and have learned SO MUCH it really shows a whole appreciation for the work you put into raising the cattle and buying beef. It is the circle of life and there should not be any shame in your game. I will send you a picture of my steer !! Much Love from Louisville Kentucky, Kelle.

Whomever is editing is doing quite good job at piecing segments into a flowing video.
