The previous seasons were 22 episodes long and the final is only half at 12 and they were feeling generous adding those originally it was 10. That's seriously handicapping writers/showrunners from what they're used to, they were accustomed to having many episodes and being able to have storylines play out for a while a good setup middle and end. With less than half from what I've seen everything seems rushed and out of the blue now. Just wished they gave them the previous amount to finish up in a more fleshed out way. Seems like everything is being hurried because they HAVE to end it right now because of Fox and not because they felt they were finished with what they wanted to do.

Despite their difference and the fact some of them tried to kill each other, Gordon, Bruce, Penguin, Riddler, Selina, Barbara, Lee, Alfred, and Bullock are like a dysfunctional family who would ban together if the city they love is in danger. They are a family who stands up for Gotham.
Yes! That's part of what I love so much about Gotham. They may fight and occasionally try to kill each other, but at the end of the day, they all care about each other, in their ways. It's a lovely dynamic :)

i dont think theres a way Gordon will not know batman is Bruce, but he will act like he doesn’t know. i mean really who else would know about the spotlight but bruce

If you do not enjoy Gotham then I perfectly understand. I have watched the movies, played the arkham games and watched batman the animated series. Gotham is just another way for me to enjoy my fave superhero and villains

here's another reason why it's ending because of fox is under Disney deal & since gotham is not Marvel it has to be out of Fox's channel completely Warner brothers own the rights to any DC Comics movies and TV show.

While it's airing I have expectations things I would like to happen that may not this can cloud my opinion. Now those expectations are gone and I can watch the full vision unravel and understand what it is there. Analyze it more closely and see foreshadowing parallels contrasts the deeper meaning behind certain plot events. I can actually watch Gotham as it is rather than how I want and that will be a whole new journey in itself. Gotham is ending but it isn't leaving my life or heart anytime soon if ever, I'm grateful to have been on this journey and I'm grateful I'll be able to continue it in a new way after this.

I was a Xena addict back when that show was running,and while I hate the way *that* one ended, they were right ot end it when they did instead of putting it on life support and keeping it going. I'm so glad Gotham's writers are doing the same for that great show instead of making absurd plot lines just to make the fans who can't let go happy. I wish they had done the same for shows like The Andy Griffith Show and ended it when it was still funny instead of embracing colorization and prete3nding the jokes were still amusing.
I agree Breaking Bad had 5 seasons its was amazing. I think 5 seasions is good for a show like this. I mean just looks what happend to the walking dead. lol

I think this show is fantastic and I would definitely have loved to see both David and Camren performing this fantastic show a decade from now and see how they’ve grown into the parts they have perfected. I have to wonder if Disney buying Fox had anything to do with Gotham getting cancelled since Disney owns Marvel ...

Good question. Given how long the Lazarus Pit waters allowed them to live, Ra's and Nyssa probably haven't spoken to each other in decades. This is a guess so don't quote me on it and take it with a grain of salt.
That does make sense, but also, Ra's only really wanted Bruce to kill him the first time. After he got brought back, he'd had that vision and he seemed to want to stick around to 'guide' Bruce a bit more, and I don't think he wanted to be killed the second time.
Gonna say it again. Heard two years ago they’re having a sequel show called “The Batman” don’t know how much truth there is to it but it definitely seemed like an accidental leak.
I really hope that David Mazouz and Cameron Monaghan keep their roles as Batman and the Joker. Maybe David could play Bruce/ Batman again but in the upcoming “The Batman” film. The director Matt Reeves *is* looking for a young actor I believe.
Bruce was known for his playboy nature and that's why people didn't know he was Batman. Seeing him apart of the fight doesn't make sense for the finale episode. Every villain wouldn't believe when he isn't Batman because this version of Bruce wouldn't pose as he isn't interested in justice and be acting as a playboy
I, for one, am glad this is finally ending. I stuck with it as Batman-obsessed completionist, but we really don't need more of Gotham and its tired, aimless plot.
Gotham deserved two more seasons and more episodes then we got.
I wish DC Universe streaming service would pick up those seasons like Netflix picked up Lucifer.
Netflix already has exclusive streaming rights to Gotham. Why not just pick it up for more?

It would be a crime if the DC streaming service did not continue this series. Its so impactful and has only aged like Wine as each season progressed.
