Eu realmente amo todas as versões de Strange World, todas, todas, todas!
The only place where you can dream Living here is not what it seems Ship of white light in the sky Nobody there to reason why Here I am, I'm not really there Smiling faces ever so rare Let's walk in deepest space Living here just isn't the place Oh... Stalks of light come from the ground When I cry there isn't a sound All my feelings cannot be held I'm happy in my new strange world Shades of green grasses twine Girls drinking plasma wine A look at love, a dream unfolds Living here, you'll never grow old Oh, baby... Don't you hear me call? Ooh...
So much feelings for this song, reminds me of a little black cat I had that was killed. That little fur ball was so lovely... This song made me get strong on hard times!
this song is one of my favorite song, i remember when i was 15 years old.. then i became a kind of a rebel, lost my will to live and so on.. now im 28 and this song help me to remember that sometimes you go thru stuff and everything shoud be fine, but it actualy it isnt. this song helps me to grow in different situations in my live... u yeah!
The world is indeed strange my friend. Thank you for your comment and hope you stay with us. The world is falling apart and we need people with a good taste in music to stay alive! ;D
Yep from the Soundhouse Tapes definitely! The guys didn't put it out on the original record because they weren't happy with the production of the track. I actually prefer this one myself!
I love the lead solo in this version, Im trying to learn it actualy, I ve got the first part down, but having a hard time trying to figure out the rest. Either or I LOVE THIS SONG BOTH VERSIONS ROCK. MAIDEN IS THE BEST.
@Airguitarfooker, I certainly love it and I appreciate you posting it. I believe that it was in 1996 I bought this collection, but I lost it somehow. It's awesome to be able to hear this again, stunning as it is. "let's walk in deepest space, living here just isn't the place". Shit, the memories come flooding right back. Again, thanks.
This IS the original version. it was supposed to be on The Soundhouse Tapes but their just was not enough room to fit it on. So it stayed in Maiden archive for a long, long time.
El solo de guitarra suena más duro y desgarrador, y con más angustia que el de la versión original, me gustan las dos versiones, pero por muy poquita diferencia, me quedo con esta
@Vomtu100 In a sense this is the original since this is the "Soundhouse Tapes" version which was 1979 i believe, this was performed with only four members.
How is this one different from the original? When was this version recorded, vs the original? Which were the line-ups respectively? Anyone knows? I think this version is much better than the original. It's not the same guitarist rigth?
Iron Maiden's first release from 1979, The Soundhouse Tapes, except this song was cut from the release. The songs that made it on were Prowler, Invasion, and Iron Maiden. This song was still preserved though luckily so we can hear it today.
It´s different from the version on "Iron Maiden" album because it sound more like a demo, a rough version and because on this version features a guitarist called Paul Cairns that stayed with the band 6 months only. Line Up: Paul Di´Anno: vocals Steve Harris- bass Dave Murray - guitar Paul Cairns - guitar (NEVER CREDITED ! but confirmed by the man himself AND his brother Hugh Cairns and Keith Wilfort - see story => www.ironmaiden666.com.br/2011/01/paul-cairns-gravou-soundhouse-tapes.html Doug Sampson - drums
It is bizarre to see people writing things like “the original sounds so much better” This is the “original” If you prefer the album version it is ok. But that version isn’t the first one
It si really good but i think the solo isn´t feeling than the original song for me... the first solo made for Dennis Stratton in the original song is really awsome... this solo is very weak for me... sorry guys.
And the vocals are very bad... It´s seems Paul Di'anno is sick.... very very bad.... nop... it´s a bad performance for me... but thank for the video... this make me feel in the 80's again...
Always always loved Paul Di'Anno and his silky soft kickkass voice! Get well Soon Paul! Still miss you Clive Burr! 😢

Holy fuck that Solo and Vocals are so fucking beautiful
Paul Di 'Anno....RIP
Gracias por todo amigo....
This version was my first favorite maiden song when I really listened to them in 95 for first time. Junior in high school. What a band!!
The only place where you can dream
Living here is not what it seems
Ship of white light in the sky
Nobody there to reason why
Here I am, I'm not really there

All my feelings cannot be held

Shades of green grasses twine
Girls drinking plasma wine
A look at love, a dream unfolds
Living here, you'll never grow old

i have one thing to say
'DAVE FUCKING MURRAY'
The solo has so much feeling to it
I've been looking forever for this one. It's way better than the original.
Godbless i do agree
No, it's not >:V
@@KingOfCha0z For anyone that likes guitar solo's this version is probably better due to the emotional sound of the 2nd solo
@@KingOfCha0zyer it is
That bass... ❤
Sin duda esta version a mi opinion es mejor que la del album

nice version, have to admit though i prefer much more the original one from the 1st album :)
This IS the original version. it was supposed to be on The Soundhouse Tapes but their just was not enough room to fit it on. So it stayed in Maiden archive for a long, long time.
Thank you SO much!!!! BEST version of this song!
Paul Di'anno :)

i have this one on the best of the beast . it always blew my mind
Was this version featured in any EP or Single at the time it was recorded? I've only seen it in this compilation.
RIP Paul
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
great version
the version that is on the album is much better in my opinion

Awesome. I don't suppose anyone knows where to get the tab for this?
any idea where get this version solo tabs?
@wandererlain
Paul Di'Anno.
Caralho! Solo muito fudendo, blues old school, pqp, muito show!
Do you have Revelations live (Best of the Beast vinyl)?

This version is better than original.
Not a patch on the album version
Man, Bruce was not the one for this song
It is bizarre to see people writing things like “the original sounds so much better”
This is the “original”
If you prefer the album version it is ok. But that version isn’t the first one
The inspirator is Dio
Hope you love this one guys! It's from me to you :)
Whos singer?
Paul Di'Anno.
it's great...but I still like the original better

The original is several light years better.
