I like the name Valero which in Spanish means brave/courageous. Being true to your name Valor and being consistent with your other horse's names which end in o. He is stunning and you two are starting a lovely lifelong journey together.
Jesse, im sorry you got a little hurt but that was the best laugh i have had all week, thank you! I never expected you to hang on for so long, it was like a circus act! Im also pretty sure that half way through, “The horse with no name” started enjoying the show too xD
Jesse, you really are THE sweetest human being! I DO know Mattia thinks the whole world of you! You really were a brave soul hanging onto Black Beauty whilst he dragged you around the arena. - I know you are a humble soul and it’s hard for you to accept praise, but this time stand with your shoulders back and know you deserve ALL the praise!
Jesse deserves a medal for his efforts hanging onto “The horse with no name”. ❤. Great to have him barefoot whilst so young, I was surprised when he arrived that he was shod at 2yrs old.
Shoes exaggerate their movements making them look flashier so that is probably the reason why he had been shod. Glad to see them off now, early shoeing is detrimental to hoof health.
I really admire how calm and patient you are with your new horse. You read him very well and give him time to figure things out. And Jesse deserves a standing ovation for his dedication in holding on to the lunge line despite being dragged and cut.🐴👍
I haven’t commented before but I just want to say how lovely you both are. Matt you are beautiful inside and out, as is Jesse. Hard to find. You are so kind and respectful of your animals and your people. When I need to see an example of grace, class and civility in this otherwise crazy world I watch you and Jesse. I can’t say enough how much I admire you both and the beauty you bring to the world. I hope you two never change as you are the change we need to see in this world. I live and am from California but I also lived in Australia for 6 years. All love and blessings to all of you 🌟 Never never change 💗
Jesse, I hate that you were injured doing a good deed. It seems so typical of you to always want to be helpful and kind. Hope you feel better! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Matt, I love the quiet confidence that Jesse’s and your horses have. They know that they are 100% accepted for themselves and that being part of your family means living, learning, and growing, without fear of anger or pain. It really is a beautiful thing to see. It is a formula for any sentient being to thrive and I hope it is being noted by others in your industry. Thank you for posting and letting us follow your lives.
I'm not sure what it is about this video, but it gives so much more of a homey and relaxed vibe than most of the recent ones I've seen. It feels a lot more silly in a really good way, like you and Jesse are having a lot of fun recording them. Also greatly enjoying that you're explaining a lot more of what you're doing and why, so thank you for this very enjoyable video :)
The one thing my coach told me when she was teaching me to lunge a horse, ALWAYS wear gloves. She literally said "I don't care if you completely fail every other aspect of lunging, just make sure you wear gloves" and stupid me didn't listen, I lunged my friends crazy TB without gloves and ended up with cuts like that all over my hands. Ever since then I always wear gloves 😂 glad Jesse is okay and nothing too major happened!! ❤
Oh yeah! There's no way I'd ever lunge without gloves--for the very reason of what we see happened to poor Jesse!! Those deep rope burns from nylon lunge lines will eat your hide right off you! So I wear gloves, and now own 2 really long and nice COTTON lunge lines! 😁
"Dante" or "Durante" could be options, Italian names that mean Steadfast or Enduring (in a nod to Matt's own Italian heritage). Also associated with the famous Italian poet Dante Alighieri - "From a little spark may burst a flame".
in Lincolnshire, UK: wouldn't you write it _Valour_ instead? since it's a PRE horse and Matt's other PRE horses names end with an 'o' (Emporio, Ettro) perhaps _Valero_ sounds good enough in Matt's ears.
I'm so sorry you were hurt Jesse. That was amazing that you held on so long and that you ran so fast. I laughed and laughed... the best laugh I've had this year. I really appreciate that because I am commenting from America where we have little to laugh about. Stay safe. You and your horses are extreemly handsome and quite fun to watch! ❤ 💋
Stay safe! I'm in Virginia and quite on edge. I may move out of the USA, if necessary. I'm part Native American, but if I need to leave I will just go. Nearly all of my family is in Heaven. 🪷
Jesse did so well!! Love how fun these have been recently. The banter is fun and I cracked up at the new horse having his forelock out because he was “feeling sassy” 😂
I’m glad Jesse is ok. Thank you for sharing your lives with us. Love y’all’s banter and seeing your journey with the new estate and of course your beautiful horses.
9:26 The video was so emotional and really showed how much you two care for each other. When Matt was worried about the horse first and didn’t know what happened to Jesse, you could really feel the tension and the worry. It was a tough moment, but the love between you both really shows how strong you are in handling tough situations. Jesse, I hope you’re okay now, and that this becomes just a small memory in your journey together. Seeing you two support each other like this makes you both so special. Can’t wait to see more of your amazing moments together.❤❤
Your gorgeous, no name horse, seems to have complete trust in you already. I was surprised he loaded so easily to go to the farrier, but you are so calm and speak in a kind tone with him. It is probably a change of training technique that he has never had before. Your gentleness with him is so sweet. I'm glad Jesse's injuries are healing, it looked nasty. I'm so excited to watch the move. You both have found a remarkable property to make a grand home. Thanks to you both for sharing so much of your lives.
I can’t believe he was able to hang on for as long as he did! Those little blond Dutch legs came through for Jesse but his poor hand experienced the painful ‚Learn Burn‘. I’m glad he’s ok.😮
What a lovely, stable minded horse and he’s not even 3!!! Glad you’re taking your time to have him physically and mentally develop. This not so little guy has a bright future ahead of him!
Props to Jesse for holding on for so long! The new horse was intent on leading but Jesse kept him from building up enough speed to bolt off into a gallop and potentially really hurting himself! Poor Jesse, friction burns are the worst and can easily become infected so just keep an eye on it 😊
I’m glad you explained the small sandy paddocks because I saw on your last video so many people were commenting on that…pretty much it for safety in the winter
MATT, consider the name "APOLLO" - not many creatures earn the right to be named after a Greek god, but this stallion truly embodies the essence of confidence, power, and strength. The way he holds his head high beside you, makes the name APOLLO feel like a perfect fit. INCREDIBLE...
Glad Jesse is ok. Whew! I really cannot imagine living at the pace you guys keep. So much going on at the same time. I look forward to seeing the development of your new property as well as your new horse. I always love conversations with you and Jesse. Stay safe. 💕
Poor Jesse! I'm glad Jesse's injuries weren't more severe. We've all had freak things like that happen when working with young horses. I like Valor or Gaston. He is such a handsome horse. 🖤
Love the name Valero, which suits him beautifully. So sorry to hear about Jesse's accident and do hope his hand injury is healing well. The big dark chap looks slimmer and sleeker since your last post and has such a sweet nature for his age. Such a good idea to leave him unshod for now, as he's only a youngster and doesn't need shoes for now. Keep us posted on progress soon please. Take care Jesse. ❤❤
Matt your new horse is beautiful and considering he’s not 3 years old yet he’s a very sweet boy. I thought that he loaded into the truck very well. He is very smart. 💙💙
I like how you fix/trim the manes. Matt you are very good in showing people how swinging the rein in front of your horse, gives you control when walking . Good ole cowboy trick to keep the horse back a bit when walking. You are just claiming your space. Otherwise, all animals tend to lunge ahead. That is a normal urge for them. I also like how you use the whip as an extension of your hand only. Until your explanations, I don't think all people understood that. Same with the spurs. You explain very well that they are only used for touch/direction (never pain!) Thanks for taking the time to teach others watching, who are not "horse" people. Great job today in explaining to those with less experience. 🎉 I like your new horse. He is a good listener for a youngster ;) Well done. Ps and Jesse always put gloves on outdoors please. Keep a pair in each coat pocket, like my Dad did. It is a good habit to start young. It will save your skin from infection also ❤

Dear Jesse, please be well. Pamper yourself to heal from your injuries -- plenty of rest, go see the doctor if needed, hot baths or Jacuzzi, etc. You are so fit ... that is a blessing and saved you (hopefully) from very serious shoulder, neck or back injuries. I'm so sorry. 😔 🩹
Matt, your sense of humor is fabulous 🤣🤣 Thank you 🙏🏻 Jesse, first, use a good castor oil on that wound. And, I just have to tell you I ABSOLUTELY JUST LOVE YOU👏👏👏👏 Both‼️ I am sure your parents are beyond proud of you both. “No name” is absolutely adorable. He is a good boy.
Really love your attitude toward teaching your horse: sensitive and refreshingly humble. It’s fascinating to learn about your and Jesse’s lives in such a well produced channel.
I enjoy these kinda videos so much, and I love to see how all of what's happening in your life processes, the new horse, the new property. Thanks for these videos! Keep up
Beautiful horse. He has a perfect disposition and mind and you have the patience to train him well. I believe this is going to be a great relationship. He has fantastic movement, and with the proper nutrition and fitness training, he will draw attention and admiration in a crowd every time. It’s good you got him young enough to get him into shape before you start actual ride training. This will be a fun project for us to watch. Good luck with your moving. Another new journey and adventure! Thanks for sharing. ❤❤❤
Oh my goodness ... no name is truly Goliath and gorgeous. Jesse is handsomely petite ... I nearly fainted. If Jesse had had a parachute attached he would have been parasailing around the entire arena to the rafters. What a memory and such good luck! 🎈 🎈 🎈
When I look at your new horse and how sassy he is I can't think about him named other than "Picaro". It means "rogue" in spanish and for me it matches perfectly :D
Rogue is very good ... masculine for cheeky rascal? He is very noble, too. D'Artagnon or Rutger or Maximilian or Maximus ... oh it is exhausting. I think I like Morado now. 💜
Oh Matt and Jesse, what exciting days are coming for both of you. But I think you've already experienced the most beautiful day of your lives and that's the day you met. You're such an amazing couple. Lots of success in the coming days and see you soon.
Matt. You should explore “An overabundance of fat along the top of the neckline, otherwise known as cresty neck, is an indicator of metabolic problems in your horse. In fact, researchers believe this type of regional fat deposit (nuchal crest adiposity) is a strong indicator of equine metabolic syndrome (EMS) this further. It’s not just a simple case of loosing weight. I have had a couple of PRE’S stallions suffer from this. Not a great outcome as I’m sure you know. Best of all luck with him.
the fact that the crested neck is so visible on him at such an early age (EMS-necks typicaly shows at around 7 yo.) is a big reason to stay atop of it and maybe even have him tested! -speaking by experience with an EMS mare :) Hope your comment gets bumped up so Matt sees this!
True but this horse is most likely just overfed so he would look big and well developed for sicab and be sold for a lot of money... They give them tons of oats, barley, oil and corn to prep the youngsters for a big sale.
@@mariaa4433 and to hide confirmation defects with fat as well, basically, most horses in sicab and other morphological classes are plain fat. They look good, but are fat.
He's a quick, confident learner! Can't wait for his name to come to you. ❤ it's time. I'm so excited to see more videos on YT. I've enjoyed watching you and Jesse over the years and always find myself looking and waiting for updates. 😊
A name popped into my head Matt.. *How about EROS* .. He is, after all, the God of Love, and you fell for him almost as soon as you saw him.. Hoping Jesse heals well, and good luck with the move, I look forward to watching it all. Sending my heartiest best wishes to you and Jesse, from Wales.
Hair can absolutely be trained with consistent banding. As someone who has had long hair her whole life, I am careful to vary how I braid or band my own hair to ~avoid~ training it to sit only one way. (And to avoid damage, as that can happen when I don’t vary the way I braid/twist/band.) It’s like hair forms a habit.
Wow, Jesse was a hero to hold on that long! Way to go. My horse, also black, has bucking and bolting moments on the lunge, but only briefly. Jesse did great!
Poor Jessé. He is so accident prone. I felt the pain when the elevator door slammed on his foot. Enjoyed the video and look forward to more. Thanks for answering questions.
I have watched your videos since you came from Australia and I so enjoyed this vlog it felt more personal was lovely to hear and see what you get up to. Good luck with the move. And hope Jesse is healing ❤
Really enjoyed the video, love how you explained everything and always addressing his young age and taking him slowly through things. He’s so beautiful and regal. Hope you’ll keep showing us more videos like this. Jesse I’m glad you’re okay and I thank you for explaining the errors you made as we all sometimes do things in that split second and put our guards down. Will you continuing with your question and answer videos once you’re all fully settled in your new place. I quite enjoyed them but I also know that your plates are quite full as it is. ❤❤
Matt, this was great! As a non horseman, I'm learning a lot and its very interesting. But, I'm so glad that Jesse is ok, in spite of that nasty cut on his hand. I agree--- Jesse deserves a standing ovation for holding on to the lunge line. There was some fast high stepping as the horse took off. But thanks, Matt and Jesse for this vlog. I know you are extra busy with packing for the move. How exciting is this!!!! Very happy for you both!!
I had a wonderful Belgium Tervarian I named him Prince Valiant, a very fitting name for a beautiful dog! He was black as night and highly intelligent, understood 3 language commands. I miss him very much...I hope Jesse heals quickly.
Jesse is such a good sport. I have had a similar rope burn in the corner of my thumb and first finger, plus the whole palm of my hand. It was a big dog that came out of nowhere while I was walking my medium sized dog on an extendi leash. I was beside a road, so I could not let go of my dog, but ended up holding onto the thin rope. All was well that ended well, but having the skin off your palm, and especially in that crease is very painful. Luckily there was no serious injury. Let go, next Jesse, I think things might work out better :)
I really like the chill way you’re working with him. It’s a good way to keep everybody safe, isn’t it? And it was pretty fun learning your technique for tying and trimming his mane. I will look forward to more videos so I can keep learning in order to help my horses. I’m especially curious about the lunging techniques for conditioning.
That jacket looks great on you, Matt! Matches your eyes 🤍 Also, I'm glad Jesse is okay! That black stallion has such an entertaining personality! He's really coming out of his shell. I still think Caesar is a great name for him. But I saw a comment someone left of the name "Valero", and I agree, I think it goes perfect with Etro & Emporio, all ending in the letter, o.
Spanish names that refers to his Spanish origin: Único” is a wonderful name for a stallion, as it means “unique” in Spanish, conveying a sense of singularity, rarity, and excellence. It’s a fitting choice for a horse that stands out for its beauty, character, and exceptional qualities. The name emphasizes that your spanish stallion is one-of-a-kind, reflecting both his individuality and the prestigious nature of the breed. Marqués: Meaning “Marquis,” a noble title that evokes aristocracy and grace, fitting for a distinguished spanish stallion. Rey: Meaning “king,” reflecting the regal presence that many spanish stallions possess. Fiero: meaning fierce or proud Valiente ( brave ) would also suit him well Hidalgo: A Spanish noble title meaning “gentleman” or “nobleman,” perfect for a stallion with a refined and dignified air. Rayo: meaning lightning; symbolic for speed and power Lucero: Meaning “morning star,” symbolizing brightness, leadership Fuego: Meaning “fire,” symbolizing passion, energy, and power, which are often traits of Spanish horses. Hope you find a name that resonates for you and that conveys his beautiful Spanish energy 👑💫🌟⚡️ Hope that Jesse’s hand heals quickly
Ouch that's a bad spot to get a cut right on the thumb joint! Hope it heals up fast make sure to keep anybody ointment on it so it does not get infected it looks kind of red. Hoping you have a fast recovery!
I went to a horse bodyworker once who explained that when the mane splits like that it can give you a clue about a possible imbalance in the back. As their other muscles come into balance the mane automatically fixes itself.
Can't wait for the mane to grow out again. This horse will be absolutely magnificent in 2-3 years. Slow steps are important, considering that horses are not fully fused with the spine until 5-6 years old. Can't wait to see them all in their new home, turned out in the pastures! Great video!
What great luck (& great skill!) that Jesse walked away with no more serious injury than a cut hand!!! Jesse, hero of the year (so far😊) with the indomitable horse with no name ! 💪💪💪 AKA: Hi Buddy! 😂
Jesse IS a legend!
Matt must appreciate the treasure in front of him.
SERIOUSLY!!! 😂
5:45 tbf, he called him _the myth, the legend himself_ and Jesse earned every ounce of it. 🤗
He does!
That's RIGHT!
Jesse is a true horseman as well as a beautiful human.
I like the name Valero which in Spanish means brave/courageous. Being true to your name Valor and being consistent with your other horse's names which end in o. He is stunning and you two are starting a lovely lifelong journey together.
I really like that! Good suggestion!
Great name!
There will be only one Valero…. And it’s not this horse , particularly if Matt wants to do dressage with him down the track
Valero doesn't mean brave, Valiente is brave. Valero doesn't have a meaning in spanish
@@vtee361Are you thinking of Valegro?
Jesse, im sorry you got a little hurt but that was the best laugh i have had all week, thank you!

The horse with no name. I’m voting for Marvolo!
It looked like Horse of No Name just found a New Game with Jesse 😂❤
Valero has a great sound...
excitement to it😄
Valiant seems like a good name
No doubt in my mind that 'the horse with no name' was having great fun, thinking this was a new game to play with the beautiful blond boy!!!

A name...Majestic.
Jesse deserves a medal for his efforts hanging onto “The horse with no name”. ❤. Great to have him barefoot whilst so young, I was surprised when he arrived that he was shod at 2yrs old.
I’ll apologize in advance. I laughed like crazy😂. Jesse doesn’t have the legs for THWNN.
Jessy i am very happy you weren't too badly hurt.
That happened to me once with a big Percheron. 😢
What a great name for “the new horse” 😄

I broke the same finger twice, separate incidents, lunging with those flat leads back in the 70's. The horse went one way and finger went the other. 😊

'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain
La, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la 😀😀😀
When I was little I thought the lyrics were a horse with no mane 😂
@@talknomo 🙂
Haaa! I said that too. 😂
The group was named “ America”.
It was a lovely song & lovely music!!!
Matt your grooming, braiding and care is so meticulous. A pleasure to watch.
Glad you're OK Jesse.
I think you should call your new horse, SNOOPY. he's just sweet, mischievous and super cute.
Knowing you are ok , between the story telling and the video that was entertaining lol
So happy to see all your successes !!
I just know the ‘unnamed’ horse is so grateful to be with you and getting such good care and time to stretch his legs.
Jesse, you are my hero. I have never seen such endurance and commitment while lunging 😮.
You must see some prior videos of Jesse chasing/flying after Anni and Macho running loose, too! Once, Antares ran off and away from Matt, oh dear. 🪽 🪽
When I saw the title, I clicked so fast! Oh no, our Sunshine Jesse got hurt 😭😭😭
I love you guys- your care of the horses, your knowledge, your playfulness together, everything! Love from Australia 🐨
Omg 😂 the horse was probably thinking. Let go, little blond man. I'm a war horse. u can't tame me, boy😂
Exactly ... David (Jesse) and a young sweet Goliath!
I love the name valor. I think it’s very masculine. He’s just stunning.
Jesse held on like a beast! He nearly took flight!
Oh my goodness ... no name is truly Goliath and gorgeous. Jesse is handsomely petite ... I nearly fainted. If Jesse had had a parachute attached he would have been parasailing around the entire arena to the rafters. What a memory and such good luck! 🎈 🎈 🎈
My goodness this is all so unbearably exciting!!! Can't wait for your videos. Thank you for sharing 😊
Jesse certainly can run. ❤❤
Happy Jesse is ok. 😊. He is a Stunner! ❤
Yup!!! And the horse is, too!!! 🥰
When I look at your new horse and how sassy he is I can't think about him named other than "Picaro". It means "rogue" in spanish and for me it matches perfectly :D
Accent over the i? ( first syllable gets the emphasis)
I also watch Clever Cowgirl who has a very elderly miniature stallion (Nigel) who has this.
Blood test deffo for it.
I thought the same as the og commenter
I love the name Valor, I think it suits him well. So noble and beautiful!
I’m so pleased Jesse is ok! Also, the new boy is so calm for a (nearly) 3 year old stallion!! ❤
He's a quick, confident learner! Can't wait for his name to come to you. ❤ it's time. I'm so excited to see more videos on YT. I've enjoyed watching you and Jesse over the years and always find myself looking and waiting for updates. 😊
Jesse is the best ❤❤❤
The clip of Jesse swinging around on the rope to that silly music 😂 he was determined not to let go
Jesse is a hero for hanging on Matt you and Jesse make are days when you post just love it ❤❤❤
You could name him Umbra! It's Latin for shadow, and the darkest point of an eclipse! ♥
Jesse did well holding on for that long…at least he wasn’t hurt too badly ❤
Valor is a good choice. Always surprises with young new horses. Gloves=protection
I hope Jesse is okay
A name popped into my head Matt.. *How about EROS* .. He is, after all, the God of Love, and you fell for him almost as soon as you saw him..
Hoping Jesse heals well, and good luck with the move, I look forward to watching it all.
Sending my heartiest best wishes to you and Jesse, from Wales.
Love it!
Hair can absolutely be trained with consistent banding. As someone who has had long hair her whole life, I am careful to vary how I braid or band my own hair to ~avoid~ training it to sit only one way. (And to avoid damage, as that can happen when I don’t vary the way I braid/twist/band.)
It’s like hair forms a habit.
That bad old elevator door grrŕr, naughty door hurt our hero's foot!!! 😟
I have watched your videos since you came from Australia and I so enjoyed this vlog it felt more personal was lovely to hear and see what you get up to. Good luck with the move. And hope Jesse is healing ❤
❤ kudos to Jesse. Thank God you and the horse are both okay 🙏
I love everything about this channel (and Jesse's!) They're simply the best ❤
Spanish names that refers to his Spanish origin:
Único” is a wonderful name for a stallion, as it means “unique” in Spanish, conveying a sense of singularity, rarity, and excellence.
Fiero: meaning fierce or proud
Valiente ( brave ) would also suit him well
Hidalgo: A Spanish noble title meaning “gentleman” or “nobleman,” perfect for a stallion with a refined and dignified air.
Rayo: meaning lightning; symbolic for speed and power
Lucero: Meaning “morning star,” symbolizing brightness, leadership
Fuego: Meaning “fire,” symbolizing passion, energy, and power, which are often traits of Spanish horses.
Hope you find a name that resonates for you and that conveys his beautiful Spanish energy 👑💫🌟⚡️ Hope that Jesse’s hand heals quickly
I like Fiero! 🔥
All sound like wonderful names!!! I vote Matt buys a horse for each one of those impressive names!!! 😆😆😆
Ouch that's a bad spot to get a cut right on the thumb joint! Hope it heals up fast make sure to keep anybody ointment on it so it does not get infected it looks kind of red. Hoping you have a fast recovery!
Entertaining as always. Thanks for sharing Matt. Don't you let Jesse get hurt...lol. Be safe. Stay well.
