Prejudging is where cosplay judges will ask you about your cosplay and examine it to understand how you made it. Usually judges ask to flip your seams and hold your props during this time. It’s usually best to prepare an overview of how you made everything before hand so you can more easily explain it. Good luck on your first contest!
