Its easier IRL, because you can feel the movement of the bird and adjust for it naturally. In a sim you have to react visually and thus can never hold a bead for long.
You know they would probably find the aircraft kind of odd but being repeatedly violated by allied air support is sort of a cornerstone of the German experience in WW2.

There was a game like that back in the days of the Apple IIe, you flew a Huey and helped the invasion in several battles from city to city. It was a combo of SIM city war logistic and timing management and flying a helo in arcade style shooting.
GS Dude the next time you guys are targeting a fixed point on the ground from the Huey, suggest execute a pylon turn for concentrated fire from LS on target from his position as door gunner 😄
