    thank you good sir for the cold peel tip. I wasted so many shirts peeling it hot. The image would not fully transfer as if it was still bonding as i was pulling it off hot. I let it cool for like 10-15 seconds and it was like night and day. thanks again 👍

    I was told, but a professional, NEVER use the Teflon sheet, when using ink. It can make your temp lose up to 15 degree color. Only use butcher paper on Inks. It really made sense to me! Hope you try!

    Actually very useful info, I've been wanting to print my own transfers and wondered how you did it. But I want to print onto dark garments and cutting around the printed part of the transfer to avoid the white background being printed on the dark shirt is the challenge. Apparently one can use a vinyl cutter which I have, but I've frankly hardly used that so don't how to do that cutout procedure yet. Thanks for sharing 👍🏼🙏🏻

      Make sure that the ink is completely dry (15-20 mins). Also, the clam shell press has less pressure at the top because of the hinge, so place it like he does, top of the shirt at the bottom of the press. That works for me.

Definitely look into Heat transfer vinyl (I did a video without saying you know) on how that works and showed a few examples. If you get a chance check it out. I like vinyl because it's a clean process and can be done in limited space. Glitter vinyl is really popular and has a high demand. It's my go to

    I use an officejet 7612 series hp printer. I've had it for about 3 years and works pretty good. even better I recently ran across off brand ink cartridges on amazon with total cost for cym and black xl for $22 bucks total. on the heat press side there so many and I suggest go for nothing smaller than a 16x20. the one in the video is a power press and costed a little over $300. Read lots of reviews before you choose

    Thank you for the video. So far, you have been the most informative. I read the hot peel method will remove some of the ink, but that is how you get a "soft" design. Do you see and feel a difference between this product and say Avery or any other transfer paper?

    • @urbanswagaddict
      @urbanswagaddict  4 роки тому

      I tried Avery when I 1st starting learning and that was using a hand iron. Back then I thought 5 sheets for $20 bucks was a good deal. Now with Jetpro softstretch You can get 50 sheets for that price. I never thought about going back lol

    According to Neenah the supplier of the heat transfer paper, its a hot peel... Maybe that is why i saww you have some trouble peeling off after letting it cool down

    • @urbanswagaddict

      I was having a problem doing hot peel. It would always leave some of the image on the paper. That's why I started trying this cold peel method.

    bro you just solved all of my problems I don't know how many fucking t-shirts I've thrown away because I had killed them and they turned out like shit. it says to hot fill them so what the hell but I did what you did let it cool down and it worked perfect. thanks again for the video buddy I own a construction company and I just bought a heat press in a screen printer trying to make my own apparel for my company and that was one of the biggest hurdles I had to get over that fucking soft stretch bullshit. thanks again man keep the videos coming

    Hi, great video
    I m interested in the making my own T-shirts , one question thou, the parchment paper is only good for one time? Or can be reuse a few more times
    Thanks and good tutorial, before I watch ur video I got me a 15x15 press heater, I know some times that bigger is better 🙃 well I want to try my new press and as time goes the 16x20 be a better choice

    Im using the McLogan stretchy heat transfer paper for light garments .. I keep having the same problem parts of the image stick some don’t .. I’m peeling while hot .. why is the darker transfer paper easier to transfer

    • @urbanswagaddict
      @urbanswagaddict  4 роки тому

      Its a different type of transfer paper that has a white backing base which allows you to print on dark color garments. The other jetpro softstretch is has a clear base which can only be used for light garments
