Yeah but not all businesses are the same!! And in some businesses people...i.e. customers are stupid at times!! I was working as a contractor and people honestly think Home Depot and Lowe's gives contractors a "special price" which they don't!! And trust me other folks think lumber is cheap, until you hit them with a material cost and they FREAK that their $800 (according to them customers) deck is now a $8000 deck!! Sure wood grows on trees, but not when you have to pay to buy it!!! And pressure treated decking and posts get expensive when the idiot customer wants a 24 by 60 foot deck and thinks you can buy material for just $600 which you can't!! In the end I have had a lot of jobs fall through just because people think I am trying to steal money from them for the cost of the lumber. And not everybody is so stupid, BUT I have had people ask me "Can you remodel and rebuild my whole kitchen for $500 and make it look like we spent $15,000 on it?" The only DAMN WAY you are going to get a "$15,000 Kitchen" is to actually SPEND the $15,000 to start with!!! And then people think my time is cheap!! I have had a lot of people complain about my labor costs when I was only charging $10 an hour, you really want to freak people out, hit them with a $15 an hour labor charge for a "three day project" and it adds up quickly!! In one bid I put in the family wanted a 20 foot by 50 foot deck on the side of their home AND a 12 by 20 foot shed that was stick built, and they about crapped themselves at my $12,000 quote, and I was undercutting my labor by so much I was almost paying THEM to work on their project!! I never knew what they finally did, but I have drove by the house and see they still do not have the shed or deck that they wanted!!!!

I have been printing off and on for 35 years or so. These points are valid no matter how long you are in business. I have taken orders with and without deposits & thankfully been burned only a few times. I am a trusting guy that you will pay for the custom shirts that you order.i also agree on the vinyl vs. Ink idea for small quantity orders. I can knock out an order with vinyl much faster than with ink and cleanup is much better. The worst part about using vinyl is when the customer doesn't follow instructions or pass the instructions of proper care to whomever, and the "print" gets ruined. On the rare occasion I have not taken a deposit and gotten burned they were small orders. They make great work or play shirts for kids.

You are spot on!
This video was extremely helpful I’m just starting off actually waiting on my equipment to be delivered!! You have soooo many different types of equipment in this video I’ve never seen before but like you said I’ll start small with my heat press & vinyl cutter & I hope to get where you are in due time 🙌🏾
Thank you for watching!
