I'm playing the actual Scratchin' Melodii game. This is a video of all stages with perfect sound at least during the song lyrics just so we can hear Melodii sing without any interruption. I've been waiting for this update for over a year and viewers asked me to play it too. This demo features: 6 playable songs and Vocaloid tuning and/or vocal mixing has been redone for the old songs. This Rhythm Game is still free so you can all download it and play it right away.
UA-cam still hasn't given Scratchin' Melodii its own game title so it might automatically get set to Rhythm Heaven or Friday Night Funkin'.

Game Note: In this game, you're playing as the young DJ and musician, Melodii. After getting caught doing graffiti, they've gotta scratch up some melodies to pay debt for their felonies! Defeat your rivals to get to your jobs (Bosses) on time! This is basically the spiritual successor
to Parappa the Rapper.

Man, it’s great to see Melodii back after the sage 2022 demo, the glow up here is stunning, their new voices sounds better and the replace of the art for the returning songs is so good!
Love how the missing animations are for every scene different
It makes the game feel more responsive and like a set world, instead of like a plain ol' video game
it rlly sets it apart from the rest
They did a good job with vocaloid tuning, usually it's hard to tune english, but they did a perfect job here

I really love this game since the inspiration of Parappa the Rapper is very noticeable but at the same time it feels quite fresh and genuine

Melodii has so many funny face reactions. Most last half a second so you gotta pause it to see them like the part where she got smacked by the tennis ball.

This is a direct reference to the Puyo Puyo series and the name of the Witch is Rensa, which also directly means "Chain" in Japanese which chaining is a very core part of Puyo Puyo's gameplay.
The art cover is the style of Puyo Puyo Fever 2
The sound effect for when the beans pop is from Madou Monogatari
They even sample the puyos rotating sound effect each time the beans rotate
and the game over and miss animations feature trash blobs similar to trash puyos

Everything about the butter scene is magnificent. The set-up at the beginning, woth Melodii noticing the seemingly sentient and frazzled butter on the counter. Then, it shows up again, suddenly on the floor flexing its little arms. Jamtine and Melodii curiously peer over. Just as suddenly as it got onto the floor, it *transforms* in an instant, turning into a stern, buff butter-man? Jamtine and Melodii's jaws drop in a way that kind of goes off-model, with almost no animation whatsoever, and they remajn in this static pose for the rest of the sequence. Then. The butter starts ro dance. He pulls out moves no stick of butter should know, then the scene abruptly resumes as it was, as if the butter thing didn't just happen.
Players who didn't clear this one try might not know that the butter also glares at Melodii, drawn in an unusually detailed style, when they mess up inputs and also slaps the camera (implied to be Melodii's pov) in its buff form when you fail the level.

Finally, scratchin melodii is coming back after the last update, I'm so glad and excited to see melodii back!
The first music track looks and sounds like a totally brand new song and they replace a lot of the art in the returning songs too

Since the 2022 demo I liked it a lot, because of the inspiration of Parappa the Rapper and bringing that returned formula that it has, this demo feels new, for some changes and in addition to bringing the new songs, I hope for a good future for this incredible game!

I hope this project wont end up like FnF.
Especially since i like the gameplay here a lot, unlike in FnF but since this is strongly oriented to Parapper The Rapper, a game series which sadly hasnt got a come back.
The songs here actually sound really good aswell, while i also like the fact that Melodii starts to song more of her own than just repeating the same lyrics the whole time.
Also, i like the two Parappa easter eggs a lot.

I have noticed at Superstar Tennis. Theres a reference to Sega Superstars Tennis. Where for what i can see if you fail once or maybe more you can see Cinnabay get a star under her and at 9:24 she does like an ultimate move and the ball has that red line following it which also comes from Sega Superstars Tennis. I really like that they put that reference in that makes me happy :D
