One notable thing is how the backgrounds improved. I love when Melodii wakes up, we see things from a more “close-up” shot rather than last year’s version which had us looking on top of Melodii’s room and house (like a bird’s-eye view.) Also, the lighting definitely improved too! You can see how much it really adds to the morning atmosphere.
Critics last year had noted about the backgrounds being a problem and how bland they used to be, so to see them so amplified and lively now really brings me joy.

This game is from SAGE, aka “Sonic Amateur Games Expo.” Pizza Tower had a SAGE demo too.
AGES is just SEGA backwards and has been used in old SEGA advertisements. Crypton Future Media characters like Hatsune Miku and Megumine Luka are also affiliated with SEGA through the Project Diva and Project Sekai games (and by extension Gumi through Project Mirai for the 3DS). Sidechain Fever is based on Puyo Puyo, yet another SEGA property. I love SEGA…

• The earliest of Melodii's known designs resembles SEGA's original mascot Alex Kidd.
• Jamtine's bf Juice heavily resembles a human Sonic (even furthermore that Juice was Sonic's nickname in the SatAM series).
• In Melodii's room near the start of Story Mode, an inside joke can be found within a poster, it being of LJ's (creator's) joke game concept "Sonic & SpongeBob Diddy Kong Adventure Real".
• A number of VOCALOIDs were used for the majority of the characters' voices, including the latest version of the aforementioned Gumi, who voices Rensa.
