It makes sense for me because she says her ancestors taught her how to do it (it's a generational problem) and also because the Puyos said they don't give a care (they are aware of it).
What if.... (THEORY TIME): On the way to the Nitrofunk internship in Uptown Jamwell, the Danish suddenly breaks down near the Supastar Tennis court, and once they call a mechanic or smth, Melodii and the Sweetz Siblings (and eventually Jamtine) play tennis while they wait for the repairs. Eventually the Danish is fixed and they move along. However quadropedal creatures of many colors called Beans (confirmed canon names lol) seem to invade the part of town, and Rensa's trying to wrangle them all so she can pop 'em, Puyo Puyo style. But there's so many that she can't do it alone, and so Melodii offers to help. (Nami seems to be done with her shift btw, explaining why she has 2 cameos in the song). Afterward, Rensa's incredibly tired and takes a breather once all the Beans are popped, probably with Nami doing her hair for relaxation purpose. Rensa states she's glad it's over with and thanks Melodii for the help. Now LJ (creator) once Retweeted a Tweet asking whom would win in a fight (Melodii vs. Boyfriend) and mentioned, I quote: "The ppl saying "BF bc he can actually throw hands in canon" when they see the 3rd rival battle of Act 2" and put that one GIF of Squidward going "Ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-tooonight?", implying it's gonna be a fight-related song. I'm legit excited to see that tbh
The new versions of the old songs are pretty harmonic, but the older ones were unintentionally funny thanks to the imperfect voices, mostly Melody's voice, their voice could get some little tweaks, but being able to understand them is already a big step in the right direction
Superstar tennis is SENDING ME!!! I usually hate when songs get stuck in my head but when this song gets stuck in my head, I am in a good mood. I do love jamtines new voice!! I love EVERYONES new voices honestly. You can hear them more clearly and I love it. Though I do imagine Jamtime with a bit of a higher voice but this one still works a lot and I still adore her voice and everyone elses! Genuinely cannot wait to play this :)

The one complaint I keep seeing is how people hate the voice changes, to the point where they think this new update is horrible I personally don’t get it, sure the older version has a more nostalgic feeling. But literally you could NOT understand characters most of the time(especially the first song thank god it was changed, sounds really great and more in character now)which this update actually fixes. That with all the updated graphics and I’d say this is THE definitive way to play this atm. Also just wanna bring this up but literally the main complaint of the last demo was literally the voices, and now that they’re changed to sound better people wanna complain about it? Honestly I think all the new voices are great! Rensa especially like WOW. I did NOT know that was Gumi’s voice bank. Nami.wav went from my least fave to one of my faves, cream cheese icing definitely sounds much better, and grease poppin is much better tuned. The only one I wish they could fix to return back to the original or just keep vocal inflections is for Jamtine. Thats it cuz yes the vocaloid is clearer, but vocally, very flat. The previous one had better vocal inflections, if you listen to both of them, especially on parts like “love is such a fickle thing”, for the older one its a clear up down vocal range, while the new one is just flat. I really think i’d like the new stir and mix now if they added those vocal inflections. I think all the songs could probably up the vocal inflections now they got the clarity, Rensa’s is like a perfect example of how good the inflections are just MWAH her songs perfect, absolutely love it. I know i was critical in another comment with Jamtines vocals but I hope I can at least explain my side, especially after being in vocal classes, festival for singing, exc. its something i just picked up on needing to hear yknow

I finally went to check the old versions of the songs and some of the voices genuinely sound like high-pitched mumbling compared to the new voices. Idk why people are complaining about the voices of all things, not that theres anything to complain about in general.
ESPECIALLY MELODII'S VOICE, I was thinking the difference wasn't too big until I tried to actually tell what the orignal Melodii voice was saying, great change for the voices imo.

The new vocals are REALLY good, even if in places they don’t…really blend well. Only voice I think needs work is Synth McWave’s, man STILL sounds too robotic.
I just don't really like the new stir and mix vocals but it's still nice , I just miss the old Jamtine vocal where she sounded like Remy Remington's European Portuguese voice , though it's still nice.

Went back to the 2022 version of stir & mix to directly compare. The new version lacks that odd robotic harmonic element to jamtine's voice, which just happened to work really well - the actual vocal inflections of the old version are very flat (the only really prominent one being the final "i wanna") the new version flows far more naturally and has much greater emotional range but the actual soundscape feels a bit emptier because of the missing generation artefacts that Jamtine's old voice practically relied on.
Wasn't Vocaloid already mainstream? That's like asking who Ozzy Osbourne is and thanking Post Malone for bringing more unknown artists into the spotlight.

I’m gonna rub in the fact that the BGs are SO MUCH better now. Last year, a lot of people were complaining about the BGs and how plained they seemed, I agreed with that too. The lighting isn’t prominent and Melodii used to stick out like a sore thumb in the bird’s eye view of the town. Also the bird’s eye view really screwed it up since it didn’t make the town look “lively” or the sort. Now that it’s changed, you can definitely see how they improved. The lighting is visible, especially in Melodii’s house, more objects are interactive now. The camera perspective is changed to a closer shot to Melodii and I can tell how it helps with showing the newer, improved version of the town. I’m not sure how to describe it, but it’s sort of how in Melodii’s perspective, we can see how lively and populated the town is, you know? Sorry, I went on a ramble, nobodys talking about the backgrounds and it’s driving me crazy!
I feel like the voice change complaints can easily be solved by having the "first demo Audio" as unlockables via use of an item. In Pokemon HGSS there is an item that lets you switch to the gameboy track instead, but it is a post-game item. So maybe in post-game here Melodii is tasked with a basic fetch quest and their reward is something like an old mic or cassette tape and that unlocks the og vocals as an option for the original demo songs.
Will you guys chill out. Its just a damn demo, the changes will happen and some changes might go back to the original. That's what a demo is, something that isn't official and gets changed alot until the creator thinks its actually the content that they want to post😑
She actually had a couple partial eye reveals in the '22 demo version of her own song, one in the form of a self-portrait when Melodii goes "Ah! Ah!" and the other being from sideview when Nami herself does it. Both references were removed in this demo, which is a shame tbh she's super cute

It's so cool seeing all the characters interact, especially with the 2nd wave of songs. It makes you feel like they are a community rather than just one-off opponents like in FNF
Every song is original, but similar style. I love this so much, everything's very good, but melodi's voice was better before, come at me. Besides that all the songs fit the character and 1:32 Nami.wav is an AMAZING song. ❤
Honestly, I kinda liked old Jamtimes voice a bit more, she sounded almost like a Yandere and Melodi sounds older instead of a 12 year old at some parts. Still love the songs tho and the new animations for some of the songs

Didn't saw anyone speaking that, after the 2023 update first released, the creator saw the feedbacks and brought back a bit of the imperfections in the voices! loved how they are actually trying to make the game's songs more harmonic, but still a little goofy and funny! can't wait to see the full game releasing
Just came here after i realized that the game was still in development, and i wasn't expecting such a drastic change in vocals. Though i feel like the new ones are much more energetic and natural, there's just something about the old voices that gave it so much personality. But alas, i'm probably just extremely biased since i'm a vocaloid fan: the vocaloid is what lead me to this game in the first place, but i decided to stick around for the goofy art style and storyline. Edit: upon further inspection, it seems like most characters still use the vocaloid voicebank- altough i find it ironic how the character that's literally an audio file format is one of the few characters that has an actual human voice lol.

my favourite song is probably sidechain fever. gumi's tuning, the instrumentals are amazing and even the visuals are so fun to look at!
The vocals didn't have to go so hard, but they did! Awesome song!

I’m gonna rub in the fact that the BGs are SO MUCH better now.
Last year, a lot of people were complaining about the BGs and how plained they seemed, I agreed with that too. The lighting isn’t prominent and Melodii used to stick out like a sore thumb in the bird’s eye view of the town. Also the bird’s eye view really screwed it up since it didn’t make the town look “lively” or the sort.
Now that it’s changed, you can definitely see how they improved. The lighting is visible, especially in Melodii’s house, more objects are interactive now. The camera perspective is changed to a closer shot to Melodii and I can tell how it helps with showing the newer, improved version of the town. I’m not sure how to describe it, but it’s sort of how in Melodii’s perspective, we can see how lively and populated the town is, you know? Sorry, I went on a ramble, nobodys talking about the backgrounds and it’s driving me crazy!
I love the new voices we can hear them a lot more clear, the animation is still cute I love it :]
I feel like the voice change complaints can easily be solved by having the "first demo Audio" as unlockables via use of an item. In Pokemon HGSS there is an item that lets you switch to the gameboy track instead, but it is a post-game item. So maybe in post-game here Melodii is tasked with a basic fetch quest and their reward is something like an old mic or cassette tape and that unlocks the og vocals as an option for the original demo songs.
Will you guys chill out. Its just a damn demo, the changes will happen and some changes might go back to the original. That's what a demo is, something that isn't official and gets changed alot until the creator thinks its actually the content that they want to post😑
I personally believe that this update is fire! Cream Cheese Icing sounds much better in my opinion, and I like the 2 extra songs at the end.

She actually had a couple partial eye reveals in the '22 demo version of her own song, one in the form of a self-portrait when Melodii goes "Ah! Ah!" and the other being from sideview when Nami herself does it. Both references were removed in this demo, which is a shame tbh she's super cute

Every song is original, but similar style. I love this so much, everything's very good, but melodi's voice was better before, come at me. Besides that all the songs fit the character and 1:32 Nami.wav is an AMAZING song. ❤

Honestly, I kinda liked old Jamtimes voice a bit more, she sounded almost like a Yandere and Melodi sounds older instead of a 12 year old at some parts. Still love the songs tho and the new animations for some of the songs

Didn't saw anyone speaking that, after the 2023 update first released, the creator saw the feedbacks and brought back a bit of the imperfections in the voices! loved how they are actually trying to make the game's songs more harmonic, but still a little goofy and funny! can't wait to see the full game releasing

Just came here after i realized that the game was still in development, and i wasn't expecting such a drastic change in vocals. Though i feel like the new ones are much more energetic and natural, there's just something about the old voices that gave it so much personality.
But alas, i'm probably just extremely biased since i'm a vocaloid fan: the vocaloid is what lead me to this game in the first place, but i decided to stick around for the goofy art style and storyline.
Edit: upon further inspection, it seems like most characters still use the vocaloid voicebank- altough i find it ironic how the character that's literally an audio file format is one of the few characters that has an actual human voice lol.
