Thanks for this Eric. We all try to learn. I’m the same. My lathe is a 1950 Sidney. Don’t have the gears to single point. That being said, I’ve been blessed enough to produce some pretty accurate things. But the reason for my thanks is, when my brother died ( he kept his secrets, secret) knowledge departed. Lost, not coming back. When my dad passed, kept his secrets secret. Knowledge lost. I appreciate your series for the knowledge that’s being passed on. Knowledge only benefits the one who knows it. I hope you understand. Thanks for the video
@@Grim_Falcon they shared just enough to keep me guessing. I’m not upset about it. After all, it’s made me think for myself. Now I have my own secrets 🤓 I’m sharing them with everyone who asks. Not many of those people left unfortunately. Thanks for the comment
Thanks Erik and Gary. Each interview brings a different but extremely valuable perspective on the sport of F Class. This one on the vicissitudes of winning and losing. Priceless!
Another good one, Erik. I appreciate this series more than just about everything else I’ve watched, period. I seem to be especially drawn into the conversations with the guys who have gone from shooting to a level of understanding and ability to create improvements in the industry. Speedy and Lou have had so much involvement in the development of product, and I would love to see more interviews with the people behind the products.
Well what a great set of interviews. Especially enjoyed this one with Gary great man to deal with here in the UK for getting me fixed with my tuner brake 👍
Great chat Erik and truly appreciated. These interviews are making a major impact and I want to thank you for getting all this amazing knowledge and information you are putting out there. What you mentioned in this interview is so true and that is that all the incredible knowledge you guys have built up will be lost and/or contained in a very small group if you don't do this. And for the sake of the sport I believe it's brilliant to get all this experience on record. Thank you again from South Africa.
Thank you again Erik and you Gary for sharing your knowledge with the shooting community. Erik, this series is a significant accomplishment on your part, very few possess the stature, access and vision to put these remarkable interviews together and make them available, well done.
Thanks Erik Your interviews with these Guys are a priceless wealth of knowledge it’s awesome to see that you recognised that in time this knowledge will all be lost , your interviews will become an archive for people to refer too , Thanks again , Steve from Aussie .
Gary Costello, Great Choice👍👍👍 I remember reading articles on him way back in the day. I will be keeping an eye on him, he's definitely one to watch to see what he's up to next. Thanks Eric, GREAT INTERVIEW. 👍👍👍❤❤❤👀😎
Thank you Mr. Cortina for these amazing interviews! What a wealth of information you are passing on to beginners in F-Class like myself! Oh the mistakes & mis-steps I have made trying to get started & feel my way around & learn in this sport! I haven’t had a mentor to rely on but have learned plenty from you & your fellow shooters when I found your online videos! I live & shoot in the Midwest where at best we only have mid range (600 yards) F-Class so I mistakenly started with with a mid range factory caliber 6mm BR Norma rifle as there are no custom rifle makers around me that I know of to speak of? My local gun club is considering adding a 1000 yard range to our club & I’m wanting a 1000 yard F-Class rifle custom made rifle to take advantage of my precision reloaded ammo. Would it be possible for you to add some custom rifle builders to some of you interviews? To highlight who in the in this sport specializes in building custom F-Class rifles? Thanks again for the help & all of the knowledge you passing along to all of the beginners like me!
Good to hear from the international Shooters experience. I have to give a plug to a fellow Aussie who has an ELR channel called 4AW. Mark and Sam husband and wife team really know their stuff. Perhaps Eric could contact them for an interview or just pop on their channel for a look👍
@ 13 minutes. I’ve seen that. The only thing I can say is, harmonics at the top of it. Slower exits lower and faster exits sooner. Hashtag, the sweet spot.
Wau. Thank you for this video. When listening to this, this is an expensive sport. Traveling around the world competing, reloading, practising and building equipment to win matches. Whats the average yearly budget in this level in Us and Uk?
Question. I had to look up "F class". I understand it's two divisions. 300 to 1000 yards. What kind of targets are you looking at? And, what do the groups look like of F class shooters at 1000?
But look at how different that blip in time is. In some areas 22 years is eons. I am learning the hobby of quad copters and last years top of the line products have absolutely minuscule resale value, even still in the box. Technology is changed so far in the few years. Who in the age range that would be watching this video would have thought that we would have electric cars? That could drive themselves? Dick Tracy watches? Even the internet and cell phones and most people in the world having a camera in their pocket that will tell you where gas is closest, cheapest, and has the best snacks and cleanest restrooms. What a time that we have lived thru………
Hey Eric, Really appreciate the interviews but this one is too hard to listen to. The MIC quality from your guest is really bad and really loud in comparison to yours. You might be able to re-mix the audio on your end to improve it depending on how you record these. Appreciate the efforts in any case.
Over 4,000 views and only 310 likes? What????? Let's get that like button smashed to show support for these shooters sharing their knowledge with us!
Done

Thats a tragedy - to lose 2 generations worth of knowledge and experience. Why didnt they at least pass those secrets on to you ?

Thank you Mr. Eric Cortina for doing those chats, great stuff, invaluable for us out here even though I am not even in the F-class sport.
Interviewing Jim Borden is my request. Love the videos! And thank you so so much for doing this stuff! Al Warner makes wonderful rifles as well!

Some good mental attitude anecdotes there.
Led Zeppelin t-shirt. My man.

The 10 ring is 10 inches and the x ring is 5 inches
Time to get the current world champ on Eric
Eric, you have to camp out at Speedy’s shop with a camera for around a week to pass on some of his knowledge and humor.
Which country won the 2013 world teams event ?
Australia
You need to interview Tom Mousel
LED ZEPPELIN, hell yea
Early days? 1999 wasn't but 22 years ago?
