it's funny that e4 is generally preferred, when statistics and engines seem to favour d4
That's what I thought too. For us mere mortals it doesn't really matter, but I'd think super GMs would need to milk every edge they can get.
Yeah it's crazy how humans see the game in a much different way than machines.
Humans prepare around other competitors while engines play in the move space of all possibilities. This constraint probably creates a 'meta' in chess with preferences that are not optimal if computation involved literally all possibilities. Human minds and their computation is limited after all.
@@hemantkarasala5767 Chess is not solved, engines don't see all possibilities we can't even calculate all possibilities. I must be misunderstanding What you are saying. Humans are easily capable of seeing every possible move if that what you mean? They are not able to see every move at x depth but they can easily see every move. Just look at the pieces and see wher they can move.
@@bobthabuilda1525 yeah, but even among humans d4 has a higher success rate.
I'm confused I thought she was anna cramling from pia cramling.

e4 is indeed natural. Like, instinct wise.
Bro might have calculated millions of openings before he answered
Anna could end by saying "Thank you. This will settle the argument between my parents."
Nepo should have said “E4…..because Magnus Carlson said to.”😁
By other interviews of him, it also seems all the fast switches of his brain are wired for answering on the chessboard
IAN has shown the best sportmanship in the history of sportmanships during this championship
A very good question actually !
