- 'IT'S NOT ABOUT ME, IT'S ABOUT THE TEAM' - WAYNE CAREY
AFL star Wayne Carey admits he nearly broke down whilst delivering an impromptu speech at yesterday's 20 year Premiership reunion.
'The Duck' said he reiterated his apology to the 1996 outfit he captained to Premiership glory, as well as Anthony Stevens, who he met with last Thursday to personally apologise for his role in the 2002 affair that broke the club.
We caught Carey entering West Melbourne's Royal Melbourne Hotel Saturday afternoon, which was covered in the Kangaroos' blue and white stripes.
Take a listen to what the Duck had to say ....
carey thinks he's a reformed man. but he looks and acts with little sincerity, every word seems to be measured and pre meditated. reckon he's lost the plot a little....
Deep down he loves that not only was he the best player but the guy who cheated with a mates wife. He has that narcissism about him
