It was 100% trying to live up to that high bar and I'm so happy they tried to do so cuz that's what I've been waiting on.
@@user-xz4cw2hg9y in January 2017 during the end of the 2 hour switch reveal livestream they debuted that trailer with the release date :p
@@Joe-y That Switch presentation was in January 2017 though. That's when that story trailer was released.
Ngl I teared up when the OG theme kicked in, this is one of the greatest trailers ever made.
Completely agreed! First viewing I really liked it and was so happy, but after watching it again...and again....and again...yeah it gets better every time

That trailer got me SUPER hyped for this game! I actually freaked out when I saw ganondorf and also the new champions are ready to help you fight! I cant wait any longer I need this game now! I have nothing else to play (even though Jedi Survivor is almost here which I really want as well)) so im ready now!
Dude, I'm so curious on your thoughts on the breakdown video I did because those champions are just the beginning of crazy stuff to fight along side

Exactly! I'm soooo happy they finally tried to reach that level for a TRAILER. This whole time it's seemed like they've just been teasing at the game, but this was finally a proper TRAILER.
We better get a youtuber reaction edit for this trailer like the one from BotW, I go back to it from time to time cause it’s so well done

1:05 you can see one of the swirly things but I dont think its activated
Awesome trailer. So hyped for this game!
1:14 the giant thing looks like a portal. and a few seconds after that is the back of korok forest with the darkness everywhere. where there is supposed to be a shrine 1:45 has a gliding squirrel suit thing which was one of the concepts in the art book. 1:49 is at hateno fortress or gate. Hes also has a construct horn I think on a stick. 1:53 looks like a girl dragon thing or rito. 1:57 has that giant thing from one of the trailer. I think there is a point of where the castle rises up. 2:26 has a royal shield on a royal sword. 2:30 has the son of the white rito BIRD from last game. 2:43 look like there in death mountian or under it. 2:46 that parts just cool and funny. RUBY ON ARROW OMG it says in the last game in the description, it said. It has the power of fire. Sapphire has the power of ice. and topaz is lightning and even if you never read the description it's kinda obvious or if you made the earring in the first game. 2:52 looks like a giant ice leviathan and your fighting it with the white ritos son I think? 3:01 shes holding a tear from one of the trailers. 3:18 looks like a black lizard shark thing that's lives in the ground or something. 3:19 little rito boy in that wing tornado with the leviathan. OMG I THINK THATS ZELDA WITH THE TEAR THING AS A NECKLACE she looks like the goddess from the last trailer on the floating island thing 2:44 Riju using the lightning powers. 3:25 looks like you can hire NPCs` to help you fight. and then right after it shows you fighting with sidon I'm so excited. THEN AT 3:30 THERE ALL RUNNING TOWARD SOMETHING WITH US I THINK Riju Sidon And What's his name little white birdo from last game. 3:32 IS THE DRAGON FROM LAST TRAILER ON HYLIA BRIDGE in the other games it would guard dungeons its called a Gleeok. and 3:54 I think zelda is lost in time There are also ones I missed 1:28 is people standing on the plateau. and 1:30 is I think demise. Demise is actually the one who stated everything he said his rage will follow on anyone who's has the power of the triforce will be trapped forever but just saying still.... it looks like demise hope you enjoyed my explanation and thoughts and I hope you read this all.
the first 1 looked 2 99% like demise, the second time we saw him he looked like ganon, so i wonder if we see both of them in the game, and this not just his endform
Nintendo do be the king of edging game companies cause they really do be teasing us until the very last minute, or at least when there games are almost ready to go. So excited for this game!
Sometimes but I for sure don't think always. Hell first time they showed Kirby Forgotten Land, Luigi's Mansion 3, Super Mario Odyssey, and Metroid Dread they showed a great deal of gameplay. Now that isn't every trailer, but they got a good track record....this however has not been one of those cases along side Bayonetta 3 and Metroid Prime 4.
@@SamuraiKibiji It seems more with their bigger anticipated games. This one especially they were keeping information to keep fans excited and wondering.

I'm so happy. I know there were plenty still stoked for this game, but some of us just needed that "sizzle" TRAILER to help get us really feeling it's gonna be a actual sequel and boom...this did it

I know I'm a Zelda old man but ffs it's Ganondorf.
When I look it up I see "Ganon is used to refer to the villain's beast form and Ganondorf is used to refer to his human Gerudo form." .....so they are the same person but just different form? Is it that much of a mistake then?

xD It's been awhile
The more I watch it, the more I like the trailer. It wasn't as good as the 2017 trailer of BOTW, which I seriously watched daily for weeks (and it still makes me emotional today). But this trailer is at least 60% of that trailer. Especially the music was great.
Thats a wild take to have but definitely to each their own. This trailer plus the gameplay that was shown already blows BOTW out the water. BOTW was a play test while this is the actual game.
@@silgonsvr I don't think BOTW is a better game than TOTK, I just think it was a better trailer.
@@lordtains I wasnt implying thats what you were thinking. I was saying the wild take is you think the BOTW trailer was better than this. BOTW maybe has some whimsy considering it was a vastly new installment to LoZ but this is a 10/10 trailer that feels like a do or die LoZ game
@@silgonsvr Alright, yes we are both allowed to disagree. I think the last trailer had really good pacing, starting with an introduction to the surroundings, and gradually increasing the tension and drama. This trailer was a bit more all over the place for me. But again, it is perfectly fine to differ in taste and opinion.

Can you imagine Nintendo giving this away as part of a $15 a month subscription service? They are going to sell 30 million copies of this game for $70. It’s almost like a good deal is an alternative to a getting masterpiece experiences. If Xbox could sell games like Nintendo Game Pass wouldn’t exist.
Prepare for disappointment Xbox fans. Starfield is coming in September and all anyone will be able to talk about is how amazing Tears of the Kingdom is and how they can’t stop playing it.
I get the feeling that's exactly why they pushed it out to September. Summer was too busy and they didn't want to pull the same mistake that Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West did releasing around a game they know will overshadow everything for the next month (it won't be more than 2 months. BOTW and Elden Ring didn't do that in terms of being the hype thing to talk about)
Nah totally disagree this trailers is the best.
This game is a joke compared to all the free games Xbox giving us. Games don't sell systems.
