Drasticg massively. I suppose the more deprived areas are where you get the biggest loot. I do a lot of canal walking and its beautiful where i go and have seen the odd magnet fisher near the rural bridges. Its crazy to see how much crime is hidden beneath these waters.

Great tour! Living in New England , Rhode Island and Massachusetts we have so many towns named after the town or village the English people left behind? Ashton, RI is a very old mill town located on a river and there are many remaining factories and mills that once produced fabric, lace and other textiles. Naming the new town did show though the people never forgot there English roots. How brave they were to make such big changes . My grandmothers mother and father were from Nottingham . Great video.

Now that was a great video. I love cycling and that canal looks fab for a towpath ride wish I had joined you for that one. Only been on the canal for a short distance on the kayak so far this year I'm sure the bike will be used but carrying my magnet too. Love it mate, ride the same route a couple of times myself years ago shame about the bike being left where it was, Delph is a lovely place been going there myself since I was a kid as well trout fishing with my dad. Oh my, we had spring run off in Missoula, Mt a couple years ago and they had a lot of damage done to homes, property, trailer houses, electrical lines and poles. But otherwise life went on. Fires here in Montana cause more problems than flooding.
6:52 I think that's a drop tank that they used for fuel for fighter planes it would of been full of fuel and once they use it all up they drop them from the wings of the plane to save weight then they'll use their normal fuel tank for fighting
There’s a good spot in between Ashton and dukinfield just of whitelands road. I’d recommend that spot as it’s easily assessable by people in cars who are looking to dump things

Hi david im just experimenting so i will improve on the commentary in future videos I had to cycle about 10 miles up hill to the first village then another 15 to 20 back down the canals and back home so it was hard work lol

Fun fact: The gates you see to the right at Portland Basin is where Richard Hilman kidnapped the Tyseley familyand drove his car into the canal for coronation street in 2003. Also where you turn left and went under the bridge near the large chimney soon after is possibly a good spot for fishing as the road is a dead end and secluded. Do the canals ever flood over the bike/walk paths?
Ive seen it happen once or twice but all depends what part of the uk it is, a place called rotherham flooded bad last year, ruined shops and homes
