The word boycott entered the English language during the Irish "Land War" and derives from Captain Charles Boycott, the land agent of an absentee landlord, Lord Erne, who lived in County Mayo, Ireland. Captain Boycott was the target of social ostracism organized by the Irish Land League in 1880.
Just stop giving them your money . The government promised there wouldn't be a cashless society until 2050 . There are still 3 million people in Britain that still only use cash .
The government promised to reduce immigration to the tens of thousands too. Their promises are meaningless. Those 3 million cash users will be forced to adapt.
This is why i've never used my phone to pay for anything, i've never used it to connect to the internet, i've never downloaded an app or ever used a QR code.

I always thought this too as notes say "I promise to pay the bearer on demand of x amount". However the coins do not. So that phrase it a little misleading and can be misinterpreted. Also according to the black belt barrister who investigated this just a couple of weeks ago, there is no law or statute that say's everyone has the right to pay in cash. Furthermore, there is no law preventing any teller, cashier, business or entity from refusing British legal tender. Indeed the term "legal tender" means just that, that it is legal tender and not counterfeit. I know it's annoying, I know we do not like it. But there it is. I'm not sure on this one, but as far as I am aware, a shop could theoretically give several prices for several currencies to be used, say US dollars, EU funny money or something made up currency like some theme parks that use tokens to pay for rides......
@@bonglandgreg your journey is just beginning. You can start by ignoring EVERY WORD THAT BBB says. He is a gatekeeper. Read the bills of exchange for yourself.
Again, no matter what we say or do, there is no law stopping this. The bill of sales act does not mention how the value of goods is met.
