Hihi! I've been deep diving into sewing content as I'm new to sewing and I just found your channel so apologies if you already know this trick! I've had the worst luck with sewing any type of thin strap so I end up making my own double folded bias tape and then sew it closed. And boom! Easy strap without having to turn out a thin strap 😊

Hi! Well I’m happy you found me! I hope you’re enjoying sewing so far & hope my videos help you along the way! That is a great tip and one I need to use more often for sure! The only downside is you can see a stitch line, but most of the time I don’t mind that. 😊❤️

I literally just broke my serger 🤷‍♀️ jutted watching UA-cam to relax and avoid breaking down😤 seeing you make this whole dress with french seams was what I needed to continue my project 🫶🫶🫶

I’m so sorry about your serger, but I’m happy it lead you here. 😊 I hope your project is going well with French seams! 😊❤️

Tip for turning tubes/straps: JoAnnes has this tool kit with 3 different sized plastic tubes each with a corresponding stick that fits within the tube & IT IS A GAME CHANGER! If you just want to use what you have there’s a cool hack you can find on UA-cam that supposedly works a treat where you sew a string in the tube to turn it out. Hope this helps

Thank you! I’ll definitely keep my eye out for that pack next time I’m at Joanne’s. As you can see it’s always a struggle for me 😆. I haven’t tried that trick yet but I’ll give that one a go too haha. Thank you for the tips and fingers crossed that you won’t have to watch me struggle through flipping a strap in future videos. 😜

Hi! You're probably already past this point, but just took a look and mine says the top is 15 pages and the skirt is 21 pages. Good luck on your project!

What size did you cut in the Dream Frock? Was the sizing guide accurate? I’m between sizes so I’m trying to decide how to handle- thanks!!

I used a size 4 which was sized up slightly I believe from my recommended size. It’s a really easy one to take in as you go in my opinion so I would recommend going up a size if you’re inbetween. 😊 Best of luck and I hope you love it as much as I love mine! ❤️
