This film put me in a trance state when I saw it around 1976 when it first came out. Some of the themes: a person radically changing their behavior and the reaction of their entourage and the theme of soulmates and reincarnation I found very thought provoking.
I have been in love with Julie Christie since her outstanding performance in Dr. Zhivago. She was quite a bit older here but still beautiful. And Dyan Cannon always a stunner too.
i’m amazed by the special effects they had back then. it really looks like james mason and warren beatty are in the same room with all the other people.
