Penticton, Kelowna & Vernon // Classic Okanagan
Вставка
- Опубліковано 22 лип 2019
- While British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley might be best known for its countless vineyards, the region’s sprawling mountains are equally ripe with singletrack. Penticton, Kelowna and Vernon comprise much of the valley’s populace and all offer trail networks that define the area’s riding. Johnny Smoke and Sonya Looney sample some of the Okanagan’s best singletrack as they make their way north through the valley.

Thanks so much for including me in the Okanagan project!
trails and beers sounds like the good life
Is on the bucket list for sure!! Great video guys!
Nice vid, and you did the place justice. I absolutely love living and riding here.
Also, for anyone thinking of coming here, they just touched the tip of the iceberg. So much more riding on offer. The local bike shops are more than happy to tell you where to ride, and if you just ask someone at the trailheads, they'll point you in the right directiion or ask if you want to join them.
Regards from COSTA RICA very nice trails go a head this project nice videos
Beautiful BC!
Okanagan has lots of trails but not hands down most in BC 🤔the coast has way more just saying
Beautiful place
I was just wondering the model of your bikes. Fantastic video. I love it!!!!!!!!!
I'm from Penticton. Rode every inch of terrain. We have some insane downhill, trail ridings sick also. Also if your a climber. Skaha Bluffs in Penticton. Most rockclimbing in BC also. Over 600 climbs all in one area. A climbers dream.
Game Time Mojo what would you say ideal travel would be for that area?
@@SNS1212 I like May and June the best. July and August are pretty hot, although there's some high elevation riding and bike parks to hit. The fall is nice too, but the long days in spring along with the great traction and flowers everywhere are insane.
In Kelowna you need to check out the newly legalized Enduro/DH zone, over twenty years in the making, with over 30 trails open.. Gillard!
Great vid btw!
@@skiboot1 it's called Gillard Recreational Trail Network.. it's on trailforks. Look up the trail "Moose Knuckle" for a good main run to try, it's a blue run
yeah i was wondering how they dont bring up the gillard trails and the crawford trails, both amazing and far better then knox!
Endless fun in b.c.
Kelowna's local downhill biking at Gillard too!
Hi too Daniel Watanabe, Neil, Liam, The Home Hardware Team, Gotcha's Night Club, and Cheetahs. Good times.
Any less busy trails you guys recommend if you're bringing your dog along for the ride?
0:59 Oh Hey Sonya!
Oh hiiii!
@@SonyaLooney1 😍 keep spinning you are the best!
Hi I'm John Brown, Class of 98 K.S.S. Kelowna
Silverstar!!!! Big white!!!!!
Where were you riding in Vernon?
Is this an advert?
I'd like to know the source of these statistics.
trailforks
I like dirt bikes...
Should have hit up Nobles in Vernon... Ellison is pretty tame and lame.
Wanted to, but it was a short project and the Vernon guys really wanted to promote Predator. Mantle is actually decent too. Don't get slabs like that in many places in the Okanagan.
Man, I gotta stop watching these BC bike trail videos, lol. I am stuck here in miserable newfoundland, wondering if I will ever be able to make the move to BC
first
who skips Crawford and Smith Creek when in the okanagan.... Must of had a bad tour guide
Most expensive place to live in Canada
Nope. Vancouver.
@@nocelvek almost the same, Kelowna has become wee-Vancouver.
Actually the Okanagan Valley is one of the cheapest places to live in BC.
Rank #1 is Toronto.
