I just want to say Thank you David for all your videos etc. You are definitely living a life of service and providing wonderful and VALUABLE information to all pool guys and gals. It does not go unnoticed. ✌️
@@ronnie7747 I use a hammerhead in florida and only have to manual vac if it's a green to clean pool or a bunch of sand gets in from construction or something. As long as the filters clean and you brush towards the main drain you should almost never have to manual vac with a riptide or hammerhead.
Dave i have a gunite pool and i want to either purchase a riptide or make a diy with a hayward superpump and a cartridge filter. which do you think is the better setup for opening dirty green pools? does the riptide lift fine sediment/sand/dead algae??
Go with the pump and filter. The best the Riptide can do realistically is 75 microns. Any finer bag is just for polishing the pool and not for clean ups.
if its a dirty green pool you might be better off vacuuming to waste. ive seen some nasty pools with a lot of algae and i wouldnt want to put all that algae on the filter cartridge. i usually use a 3" semi trash pump to open pools and the water discharges to the yard or a ditch or somewhere thats out of the way
nice organizer and looks good. mine came i wouldn't bolt up. the mold is way off for the holes they have drilled. to me over and hour to get it to fit after grinding off plastic. nice idea but poorly made.
Just wondering because some poster said his motor went out after 14 months. I have seen nothing but good results after 6 months of almost daily use . It is just easier to carry around , gives good results and easy to operate . Just wondering about the longevity at this point . I am pro garage genius stuff that is quality produced and makes it to market .
Mike, I like your style. I'm just like you. I'm cleaning about 12 pools a day. My friends who use their own vac systems clean more. I think I'm gonna stay old school though. Take care.
Bottom feeder hands down is the best power vac on the market. Why pull around a heavy cart everywhere you go? Half my customers have stairs or areas where the cart wont even go through. Plus you gotta unwind/wind the power chord every use. Might as well use a regular hose. I never understood the appeal of these cart systems. Heavy battery, bulky cart, etc.
Mike, what vac head and size do you use? Where you located? Thanx bro. I just me and you are the only two that use those and manual vac. Do you even have a service cart you use to carry supply to the pool?

Love how riptide keeps coming out with upgrades! Just ordered my rack and bottle holders 😁😁
Cool video! Finally ordering one this week thanks to you!
I’d love to take advantage of your savings on the Bottom feeder! 🙂👍
Looking to finally purchase one before the Santa Ana’s hit here in Rancho.
Nice 👍
On that property with your 75 micron bag how often would you have to use your manual vac head?

Sorry to hear that. I hate it when someone at the factory can't get it right. But it is an awesome idea!
Do they do sales for black Friday?
Possibly.
No but if you message them on Instagram they work you in a little discount and maybe another micron bag
Why would I want a Riptide when I can have a BottomFeeder ?
I've got both so I am good. 😀
Show off 😂
Any problems with the Bottom Feeder yet ?
@@johnnada1222 None. Even though it is made in some guy's garage. 😁

10 pools a day and only have to carry a hose, pole, and vac head into the backyard make these things worthless. The pool pump is the pump...lol.
Old School! 😜👊

You won't know the difference until you try one. I can do 20+ pools a day with my riptide.
