    Thank you for all the effort this channel puts into showing the Police in the very best light.
    Pro Police videos are so much more fun to watch than the anti police rubbish.

    Welcome to 2024, while being an Aussie I still absolutely love the liveries on your vehicles here in the uk, (maybe not the old jam sandwich livery) and maybe even some of the sirens, there not all the same they are sort of different mix to every vehicle but here in Australia every sirens the same. Really? I think

      @Thomashorsman 9 місяців тому +3

      Generally speaking, there are 3 siren tones that are fitted to pretty much every emergency vehicle in the UK, those are the Wail, Yelp and Piercer. Some vehicles also have the Two-tone.
      The driver can switch between the different tones by pressing the horn, and will change depending on the driving scenario. For example, for normal driving, the Wail is used as it has the farthest reach to be heard. For approaches to junctions and busier traffic, they will switch to the Yelp as it gives a little more urgency and is more noticeable when the tone changes. For the highest risk situations, such as going through a junction, or when someone still hasn’t noticed the emergency vehicle, they will switch to the Piercer which is very noticeable at short distances and gives a sense of increased urgency when changed to.
      The Two-tone (or Hi-Lo as its sometimes called) I’ve noticed is fitted to more vans than cars, and is usually used by the more metropolitan forces who are often in Cities, maybe this is because the sound reverberates off the tall buildings quite well and is good for ‘normal’ driving through busy but flowing traffic in cities.

      I know how they work, it’s just that all tones don’t sound the same, for example the Counter Terrorism, they used some lower sounding wails, yelps, & piercers. So I know what which one means but they all don’t sound the same which is what I like.

    I recently bought one of thise bmw 330 cars...m sport. I often wondered why the cops use them ......now I know. The ratio between power and handling is next level. Acceleration and handling is utterly amazing...I dont think anything could escape it. Amazing video. Subscribed

    Many years ago I spent a week on CAT A escorts from Liverpool to Preston crown court. The convoy straddled lanes 2 and 3 of the M6 and absolutely nothing was allowed to obstruct us. One day the lead Range Rover caught up with an elderly lady in a Micra doing 50 in the middle lane. She wouldn't move over so he pulled alongside and pushed her off the motorway and onto the bank. He then dropped to the back of the convoy and continued on. Another vehicle took up lead.
