yes it makes sense if the producers told her to throw the lip sync but she took off her wig in her lip sync against Ongina and won so she probably thought she could do it and win again lol
Also, the producers absolutely did know what DeLa was doing. There's actual footage of her painting the lipstick, and she talked in an interview on Look At Huh about how they were frantically whispering into their headpieces as she walked out
This is true, but just cause they saw it doesn't mean they knew what it possibly could have been, nor was it against the rules at the time, so why not let it play out for drama. It wasn't a driven, produced moment nor was it rigged. This was authentic reality TV and they producers were just there.
I mean you said it yourself. They were frantically whispering into their headpieces, clearly trying to figure out where to go from that UNPLANNED moment.
On Johnny McGovern’s show “Hey Queen”/ “Look at Huh” Dela outright says the producers knew because they saw her looking for whiteout and then modified the lipstick. I know Dela only eliminated Morgan, but picking as many lipsticks she did, and possibly outing other contestants wore on her. I think she would rather eliminate herself than others. From what she said, she dreaded pulling lipsticks!
this season would have been so much more interesting if they had told the queens about the jury from the beginning. it would have put some extra pressure on choosing lipsticks and winning a lot of challenges and i wouldve LOVED to see the strategies and possible alliances that came from it. idk it just seemed like such a missed opportunity
But at the same time it would be also kinda BS cause it means ALL of the queens would be acting on their best behavior the whole time, robbing the audience of authenticity
@@geckohunter123 yeah. There's really no way in which the jury surprise twist could have worked. At least in my opinion 🤷🏼♀️ there's just no way for it to be fair when they haven't seen anything and this is the FINALE. Leaving that decision up to the queens that weren't there made no sense at all.
@@geckohunter123 I think it would've prompted Shangela to plot more though. (She'd be the Cersei Lannister of drag) Which, in my opinion, would've sold her as someone who both did well in the competition and played the game proficiently.
@@geckohunter123 Not necessarily. Survivor has had a jury choose the season winner since season the beginning and there's still plenty of drama in that show.
Survivor is a show that prioritized manipulation and screwing people over. I think Drag race should prioritize showcasing art. So I don’t like the overlap. @@thomasdegroat6039
Trixies guitar prop in the divas live challenge was actually just her guitar that she brought. Then again, i don’t think Thorgy could’ve packed a cauldron.
Lol she could have packed a tambourine ffs because that is DEFINITELY one of Stevie’s most iconic “accessories” and especially live in concert!!!!!!!!!! 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
For bebe: remember, she didnt know ornacia. She didnt really watch the other seasons apparently. She probably was still stuck in season 1 were you could rip off your wig and it would be a moment
I think she did see the seasons, but in like 2x speed kinda way, cause bebe made some apperances throughout the seasons like in S10 finale, but she just was not that into the current drag as one might think
I feel like trixie honestly did win that lip sync not because Kennedy was doing bad or anything (she was clearly doing better in movement and such) but trixie put so much emotion into that last part of it that like you could tell ru couldn’t keep her eyes off her because of it
Shangela going on about game of thrones throughout this season gives me very Chad Michaels going on about Hunger Games in AS1. We love a relevant to the time period reference 😂
I have to agree with you at the end, Trixie wasn't set up to be the winner, but it's sad that they did so many twists that just didn't work. That's why they never did the jury thing again. It was a bad decision.
Let me just say something: If it's based on the whole season, YES. Shangela should have won. But, bitch, i fell like i'm the only person who sees how she was very favoured by producers. On Episode 2, she had literally the best character, anyone would win with Mariah. Then, on the Snatch Game they edited out a lot of Aja's jokes because they didn't want them to win. And on the Top5 episode she was playing herself. She's rlly funny, really talented. But America, Facts are Facts PS: I love a Gag, so Trixie winning was good to me, especially after seeing the amazing things she did with her carreer.
Litterally her Mariah was made to steal the show. Her Jennifer Lewis was just herself like when Alyssa on as2. Aja brought something fresh and new every week. Her Amy had 0 things by production but still turned and her snatch game was killer
Yea. Fans say they rigged it for Trixie but it was litteraly rigged for everyone but Trixie, it was rigged for Shangela, DeLa and Bebe. Shagela and DeLa were given the best verses, Shangela got help by editing out Aja, then Kennedy got favoured by them putting Aja in the bottom on the ball, Bebe was favoued in the Drag up your life and botrh Trixie and Aja misstreated again, since let's be honest Trixie or Aja should've been in the top. So yea Trixie was actually more misstreated then favoured and litteraly everyone else in top 4 (+DeLa) got favoured.
I pretty much agree with everything but I genuinely do think Trixie won that last lip sync. Sure Kennedy was doing more but Trixie had a more compelling performance. Trixie did kinda have the arc too. She only won a comp after bombing snatch game.
I don't think It was rigged for Trixie, even Rupaul wanted Shangela to win. You could tell from early on it was supposed to be Ben and Shangela for the crown. The twist just made it impossible for her to win so Trixie won because there's no way Kennedy was going to win with her track record.
I agree with your Tin Foil Hat moment; I always thought Bebe threw that lip sync on purpose. I believe the producers knew what was going on, so did Ru. And she totally had Trixie’s lipstick. And the producers didn’t want to lose their cash cow.
Bebe hadn't watched drag race since she won, and beat ongina by removing her wig, I really don't believe she threw just that she thought it'd be fierce
This season was absolutely NOT rigged for Trixie. She was basically never given an edge and only ever won when she actually did a good job. If you want to blame anyone for trixie's win, blame the jury. Putting kennedy in that top two guaranteed trixie's win in that finale - 100%.
As soon as Trixie walked in this season I knew she’d win. Just like Bianca and Bob. It was absolutely rigged for trixie because she’s one of the most popular queens and if she was eliminated, people wouldn’t watch. Cmon people this is for tv and ratings. The producers know what they’re doing.
@@g.g.2102 That really isn't true though, she was doing pretty average most if the time. Ben, shangela, (and heck) even bebe were doing better. I have no doubt that had Ben or shangela been in that final two, they would have won.
@@rikux27 She was doing average because she’s average at what the queens like her are amazing at. This season wasn’t like AS2, where there was only 1 queen who was extremely campy and good at acting all the time. This season had multiple options, production very much rigged the show in favor of someone like Trixie to win, the reason she didn’t get wins all the time is because she was outshined most of the time by Dela or Shangela. Both are better actors and comedians point blank period, that’s why Trixie only won 1 challenge that relied on acting/comedy, while Shangela won 3 of them. Dela won 3 of those too, which means that while Trixie was suppose to be favored on paper, she was put with people who were better at what she did. I personally think that the jury idea was last minute and a way to get Trixie to win if the other competitors did better. If I was a producer I would’ve put Dela and Shangie in later seasons and casted look queens in their place instead, if Trixie had to win. Naomi Smalls and Miss Fame could’ve replaced them, which would’ve maybe actually resulted in a Trixie win, it’d at least make her win look more fair in the grand scheme of things.
AGREED. how in the world is it rigged if the OTHER QUEENS voted her for the top two?? i don’t get it. personal opinion: they were guiding it towards dela winning, then when she went home they had to scramble to find another queen to win and ended up bringing back the queens so the end choice wouldn’t be entirely their fault. trixie, yeah, is successful so it doesn’t surprise me that the queens would vote her. the jury is the only place of blame here for her “rigging”.
I don’t think Bebe got told to throw the lip sync. Had that been the case she wouldn’t have come on so strongly. I think she just literally didn’t watch drag race or barely watched it after she won and still thought that removing your wig was a sign of vulnerability and would help you win. Also Ru can pick whoever she wants as the winner regardless. Especially to a song like that.
Yeah, all of a season we’re prissy about fart humor? Rock had a good verse and that’s what Michelle zeroed in on. Haven’t they returned to the fart well since Rock too?
@@gilkot4633 To be fair, it was a John Waters challenge, but yes. They also had a fart joke in the Glamazonian Airways song (I think poor Mrs. Kasha Davis got stuck with that.) And I'd prefer fart humor any day over that yeast challenge in DRDU.
Honestly Milk should've been in the bottom in the Rusican 100%. She didn't look like Celine, she didn't act like Celine and her cut didn't sound anything like Celine and her verse was bad. And honestly her look wasn't amazing so personaly she deserved to be in the bottom.
All vocals were recorded by third parties, not the queens. They had no say over their parts or verse. Just like season 2’s. They just picked costumes, but obviously took a liberal licensing that it doesn’t look nearly as good then her look at the Met Gala in 2019, for drag she should’ve done her show girl look from 2017 met gala, it’s more drag, just my thoughts anyhoo!
Im Canadian, and go concerts all over N. America, I've seen Celine before Vegas residency in Montreal, Fleetwood Mac in Saskatoon (Stevie Nicks), Amy Winehouse in NYC, ans saw Dolly when I won tickets to the CMAs in Nashville all expenses paid. I agree with Todrick that Thorgy was a Stevie "purist", and if it was planned ahead of time, I would watch her performances (that's what Google and UA-cam are for, just saying...) and she is a huge gay icon, a few of my homosexual friends (men & women) have every piece that any of the numbers that the members were in. I think Thorgy is a great drag queen, but she's neurotic AF and can be controling to the point she ends up pissing herself else and blames someone, at the begining she said she would've won if Bob wasn't there for season 8, then she starts passing the buck on her critiques, though she asked what she could do to improve, and said she would take those those critiques and apply them, but never did any of the work. This why the Hater's Roast was great for her.
the jury twist genuinely would’ve been great if they told the queens at the start of the season. that way, it would build directly onto the voting twist of the previous season and would require more strategy. they would’ve had to have balanced having a good track record, getting rid of competition AND staying in everyone else’s good graces. mind games on top of mind games on top of the actual game. only revealing it at the end is not only unfair, but extremely anti climactic and half assed. i’d love to see this twist being implemented properly in the future, but it’s probably not going to happen because of how poorly it was received and executed the first time.
There is nothing more douchey than having someone basically construct your outfit for you, to then take all the credit, to then eliminate the person who did all that for you. Aja was pushed
@loveutill theendoftimes its not abt fair when it comes to AS eliminations, if aja sent shangela home it wouldve played off as getting rid of competition (although im glad she didnt she wouldve gotten trashed)
trixie wining all stars 3 can be summed up in one sentence: she was at the right place at the right time. edit: there’s also a video that explains how trixie won all stars which i think u guys would all like ua-cam.com/video/spH1RthisfI/v-deo.html
@@danjlp9155 They had the same amount of bottoms, Shangela had more wins, that's not "more consistent" their consistency is very similar. Also what's the point of a competition if someone who isn't the best wins?
@@bonehunter6967 but Trixie only had one bad week. She did very well in all but one challenge. Shangela did badly in two and not so well in a third (the bitchelor). Had they not done that you’re not in the top you’re in the bottom in the girl group challenge, Trixie wouldn’t have been in the bottom a second time.
I think a lot of Aja's mistreatment was because they were the youngest as well, like going that hard on them for references was what really got me. I'm about the same age and a lot of older folks than myself go on about "oh do you even know that band or movie" or whatever just because something happened before I was born.
@@jaythomas5216 You know as one of Trixie's biggest fans since the promo for season 7...you're absolutely right lmao she is just not that good at competing!
Ngl, I wish that if they just did the jury twist: A) Tell the players B) Don't half ass it and just make the highest vote getter win. Like, Trixie just ended up being the middle who won because she was not the best anything, but it lined up in a way where she ended up winning. If they wanted to do normal crowning, crown Shangela or Bebe. If they wanted to do Jury, crown Kennedy for actually winning the Jury vote. To be fair, I actually do think it was a better thing for Kennedy that she didn't win though because everyone remembers her great moments like the Milk storyline, "Fuck my drag" especially, and her not knowing how to pronounce "meme".
I dont think they would have crowned bebe AGAIN as it would not have been fair to the other girls...then again bebe could have just been replaced with a eliminated queen that deserved it
@@fil1220 I mean, they kind of HAD to have crowned Bebe again if she got there because if they don't, it tarnishes the legacy of season 1, but if she is crowned, the audience just screamed "Rigged". That's why the jury twist was made to remove Bebe without having to directly remove Bebe.
I really feel like Aja, Milk and Thorgy were terribly mistreated this season. How Aja got critiqued for their disco queen runway will ALWAYS bother me. Then of course there’s the fact that the editors made Milk seem like a horrible person and Thorgy got completely shafted by production. ALSO Sitting on a Secret was a TOTAL bop and anyone that disagrees can fight me! ✌🏻😬 EDIT: I was informed by a replier(sofia) about a situation involving Milk that happened last year where she associated with a known transphobe. This doesn’t change how she was treated this season, but it’s still important to point out as I do not support this kind of behavior. Thank you for reading! ☺️✨
@@Jacob42086 There are sooo many moments during the confessionals and the show itself where the editors tried their damn hardest to make Milk seem egocentric and delusional. Watch her interview on Hey Kween. It’s really sad to see how her reputation has suffered because of her portrayal that season.
@@scheibez Girl… it’s the way I had no idea this was even a thing- I just came back from Reddit after looking this up and I’m horrified. Doo doo flakes??? I- I’m editing my original comment to bring light to this issue. It doesn’t change the fact that she was mistreated as a contestant during the season’s run, but it’s still important to point out for anyone that might not know.
This season pisses me off because Aja could have won the whole thing. The only reason she was treated like this is because they didn’t expect her to have progressed this much from season 9 and there Bebe, Trixie, Shangie and Ben top four was in risk. *edit* I give full credit to U. the UA-camr which is their new drag channel name now.
honestly aja should have won the talent show, snatch game, and the design challenge, then would have still been in the competition and probably won the girl group thing alongside ben, probably would have been bottom in the final acting challenge but overall she would have had the best stats after ben
Something I've seen and heard a lot of post-show is that Shangela apparently got a *very* sympathetic edit, both in terms of her personality and challenge performance. A lot of the queens supposedly disagreed with the challenge wins, particularly hers, and she was reportedly a bit diva-ish, difficult and unprofessional behind the scenes.
Shangela was negotiating for more money, while Jasmine had tickets to a concert. Jasmine knew she’d be working on the Holi-Slay special at that time. If she bought those tickets prior to going on the special as her contract with RPDR, Jasmine could’ve sold her ticket, Shangela was negotiating pay to benefit ALL the queens in the special. This is so irrelevant to your excellent, well crafted (as always) video, but Chi Chi will always be remembered as one of the greats. Talk about a Lipsync Assassin. Her "And I'm Telling You" is one of the best performances EVER on any era, any location, any season of any Drag Race. Chi Chi was just incredible. Much love to her and her family, always.
She definitely made me feel something... bored. Go girl give us nothing, she was worse than Charlie Hydes. Even if I didn’t love Kennedy’s lip sync it was miles better than Trixie’s.
I felt exactly the same about Bebe’s wig removal being a way to throw the lip sync. At first I thought it was because she had second thoughts about whom she picked and the repercussions; but on second viewing, I agree the producers asked her to do it so Ben could do her gag.
my fav part of as3 was at the end of the kitty girls episode. when ru says "let the music play", chi chi is just vibing and dancing while everyone else is wrapping up their drama, it's just such a cheerful chi chi moment
I still think Aja and Chi Chi should of won Divas Live. Still don't know how they managed to pull the bull shit of Chi Chi Being low for her Patti. Also them throwing Aja in a random bottom 3 for the Bitchelor has me confused. They seemed to Bump her placement down a lot
I loved ajas Amy winehouse. And I also heard that since Amy is dead that aja didn't want to do anything disrespectful like alude to any drug use or any antics like that so relied more on Amy's mannerisms and I think she did so great. Ben and shangela did too of course but I am a huge fan of both Amy winehouse and Aja.
unpopular opinion but Trixie killed tf out of the 'Wrecking Ball' lip sync, she was serving face and raw emotion the whole time which perfectly matched the song
I agree! I'm not saying the top 2 should not have been Ben and Shangela, but of the top 2 we got, I think Trixie did the better job. It kind of reminded me of Latrice vs. Kenya. One stood there and emoted the song and the other flew around on the stage. Sometimes the song does not call for that.
Kennedy had an unfortunate outfit and strategy. Girl was a ninja fading into the background while Trixie the rainbow shines out front. Kennedy had no chance.
100%! Trixie was perfect on that lip sync. That moment where some of her hair comes out in her hands manages to be kind of funny but somehow dramatic and chilling at the same time?? Kennedy was doing Kenya Michaels whirling around to Natural Woman while Trixie was giving Latrice emotion.
Still waiting for the riggory of Canada's drag race. That season is my favorite season of drag race because it was such a fever dream and I can't wait for season 2.
When it comes to Trixie I think the queens knew they couldn't eliminate her because of her fans. That's why Bebe, the queen who was obviously out of touch with the Drag race fanbase, was the only one willing to eliminate Trixie.
If fans were less toxic, the show would be 1000 times better. I love Trixie... But not in AS3. I was team Trixie and Dela at the beggining of the season and at the end I just wasn't, still love her (outside Drag Race) bit I can accept when a fave doesn't do well period.
Man aja truly got shafted - the very accurate snatch game getting over looked, that INCREDIBLE outfit getting overlooked and then that SICKening verse getting over looked !!! Robbed queen
I think if dela ever came back for another all stars she’ll either win and get favoured by the production or production will give her a jan or milk edit
i wouldnt say this season was “rigged” so to speak. i think that the producers messed around with rules too much and that threw off everything. i think “set up strategically” fits better.
In my opinion this season was made for ben just think about how many challenges are "make up a silly persona" and then go back to what ben was know for on season 6 the judges called her out on it all day
BeBe's ominous voice over line of "don't be scared" during the soup can challenge lives rent free in my mind. like. be scared of what? what's scary? _should_ we be scared? also in may 2021 Aja officially became a member of the Royal House of LaBeija so even if they got robbed for their performance as Crystal, at least the House recognizes them.
Milk did awful as Celine Dion in the Divas Live challenge. She didn’t look like her or act like her. She should have been in the bottom there instead of Thorgy.
I definitely don't agree with the take that the season was being rigged for Trixie. They easily could've glowed up her track record if they wanted to, but in the end were pretty fair with her, I don't feel she was either carried or mistreated really, and at least not in the way some others have gotten in the past. And truthfully I don't think Trixie's some huge favourite of Ru regardless, probably respects her for the brand she has created for herself but nothing crazy either. If it was rigged for anyone, as some of here said it honestly was more for Shangela, and I'm going to go full blown tin foil hat here, and claim that the production was playing some 5D chess up in heore. I think the reason why Dela got such a glowing track record is to delibretely set her up to fail come the finale. Were her wins unjustified? Of course not, she truly slayed the HELL out of the season and all her wins were justified, but even for the best of the best that dominated, producers try to spread the wins for a few of their favourites to make it more even, not necesserily "rigged" but just if two queens slayed one week, then give it to the one that hasn't got anything yet. Not always oc, but at least IMO thats their typical MO. But them giving every single win that she justifiably ccould've won did seem strange to me, cause similarly to Trixie it didn't seem to me that she was some HUGE fave of Ru, but maybe it's just my perspective. All her wins were absolutely winner worthy but, if they REALLY wanted to they easily could've spin the Variety Show/Bitchelor/Girl Group challenge win to someone else and just put her as high, while also similarly to Shangela getting very winnable roles for the Divas lip sync and Bitchelor. And it was ALL according to production's EVIIIIILLLL plannnnn! With the pace the season was the season was going it looked to have went in a clean and nice Dela/Shangela/BeBe/Trixie or Kennedy final 4. But of course there is the jury twist! And oh lookie here, there are two obvious choices for queens to not want to get to the end, if you have any sort of knowledge about either Survivor or Big Brother! First we have the equivalent of a previous returnee/captain, in this case a previous winner, where the competitors don't want to award them a 2nd win, if there's ever an obvious early front runner people just tend to want to cut them down a peg really. And THEN there is the assassin of the season, the queen responsible for almost all of the spilled blood in the season. And no matter how "fair" her choices may've been or not, if you are a queen you TEND to have a thing called an ego, so it was not likely to have been well received regardless, which we kinda have seen during the season already with the reception to all the "BenDeLaChrist-ery" the whole season. BeBe and Dela get eliminated, and that leaves the top 2 of Shangela and Trixie/Kennedy, and omg who would've guessed, as the lip sync assassin and the best track record Shangela wins! Almost too good to be true.....or was it? And in the end, they def saw the Dela's self elimination moment coming and were fine with it, cause a gag moment always >>>>> "best possible winner" in production's eyes, and were getting either a Trixie or Shangela win if the queens would've been gracious enough regardless, so they weren't stuck in a horrible corner either way. And honestly ughh Dela's mind, being allowed to slay the competition thanks to production's master plan only to leave on her own terms and TRULY outwit, outplay, outlast her impact. We HAVE to stan. Lastly, this is ALL wild speculation, and theorizing up in here, I'm probably going WAAAAAY to overboard with this, and probably just living in my very own french vanilla fantasy. Maybe Dela would've got to top 2 regardless cause queens just REALLY didn't like Shangela, I don't know the tea on that really. But honestly, with the way this season was WILD already, some good some bad, it's fun to think how it may've been wild in a DIFFERENT way dsfghjkjhgghjk.
@@kylezacharysmith4643 lmaoooo sorry, I know, I tend to go on tangents fghjdfghjk. It's fun for me but I get not fun for people who read them. And oop if I felt I was over the top positive I felt it was for Dela lmaooo
I don’t think it’s very far fetched that Bebe took her wig off without producer intervention. She did it a lot in her season and made it clear in this season she doesn’t watch drag race so probably wasn’t aware how much they now hated queens taking their wigs off
I think this season was rigged in Shangela and Bebe's favour. Shangela's one of Rupaul's all time favorites (I mean Shangie breathes and Rupaul liiiveeeesssssss), and Bebe is a winner, so she HAD to do well. It wasn't rigged for Trixie at all, otherwise she would have (and could have) had better placements. Aja and Thorgy are the true robbed queens and when it came to the jury twist, I always thought it was there just for the sake of drama, and it backfired. But hats off to you for seeing it was made so that Rupaul didn't have to eliminate a previous winner, that makes total sense! It's clear nor Rupaul neither Michelle are happy with the outcome of the season and in a way that makes me happy. For once they could not control everything. I personally thought Dela should have won, but after her, I'm absolutely fine with Trixie's win (who won the final lipsync, btw, and should have won against fat Shangela).
I lowkey think the season was made (not rigged but planned) for Dela to win. Her biggest strength is playing a character, which was literally the point of every single challenge besides the talent show and the ball. The latter being the only challenge Dela didn't win. Also, the twist was made to eliminate Bebe without tarnishing her reputation, Shangela was just collateral damage
31:50 I'm gonna be completely honest. My tinfoil moment for Bebe losing the lipsync is a lot less interesting. I honestly think Bebe won S1, and then just.... kinda stopped watching. (I mean this with respect but) Bebe does Bebe. We've heard it from a few girls that the S1-3 girls didn't see Drag Race being a hit, but a bit of a smaller player in the media, IIRC Bebe kinda disappeared after she won, performed a lot, but wasn't as associated with Drag Race as Tyra or Raja. I honestly think that Bebe just thought that the wig snatch was still a power move, got embarrassed, and the producers didn't want to force Bebe to show her lipstick because it was more of a gag to have her not show it. That's my tinfoil, and yours is probably correct.
In the end, DeLa never sent anyone home.. Like she was never the reason anyone went home... She sent Morgan home the first week, but she also gifted her a comeback. Also she did send home Chi Chi but so did Shangela so all in all she would have gone home neitherless. And in the end the only person DeLa really ultimately sent home was herself...
This season was rigged for Dela or a Dela-esque queen. Literally every challenge was about portraying a character, except the design challenge which oh-surprise Dela didn't do well in.
This season is so interesting to me because I feel like it starts so strong, and whilst I doubt it would match up to All Stars 2, would still have been revered as a great season... until Dela's self elimination. It manages to be both the best and the worst thing for the season; it's an incredible moment but everything fades out after it. If the acting challenge wasn't so terrible, and was pitched more of a "the main frontrunner is gone, it's anyone's game now!" type of deal, and if the jury twist wasn't so... completely counterintuitive to the semblance of a competition on Drag Race, then it could have been a really enjoyable season in it's own right. Now the starting episodes are fun but the season is spoiled by an ending like that, which manages to discredit the work of Trixie, Shangela and Kennedy. And the fact that All Stars 4 basically repeated the same mess with a slightly different flavour - ending with front runner elimination, mess of an acting challenge, mess of an ending... I feel like production could have done better in order to both have their cake and eat it to like they did with All Stars 2. And it makes me worried for All Stars 6 with the Game within a Game, I just... don't want them to mess up the season right at the end. I cannot have a 3rd All Stars suffer that fate! Also, I find it interesting people say the season is rigged for Trixie to win... when it was a lot more rigged for Shangela to win? Her Mariah part was definetly the winning part there, her being boosted above in Snatch Game, etc. I think Dela did far undeniably better than they were expecting - they wanted her to be a frontrunner and she ended up being the frontrunner to end all frontrunners. Those are just my messy thoughts. It's tough when a season like this is... probably in the top half of All Stars seasons.
Trixie definitely didn't lose this lip sync. Her lip sync actually matched the vibe of the song and was interesting to watch. Kennedy just spinning in the background didn't really match the song and it wasn't that memorable.
It was good until the jury. If the jury was announced episode 1, you play a very different game. It HAS to be about fairness or otherwise people might get vindictive. Plus, you have to be well liked. Bebe didnt seem all that warm and Shangela, though fun, seemed a little distant because she was playing game of thrones. Kennedy and Trixie seemed loved by the cast so they got Top 2. If Bebe or Shangela had know about the jury they might have been more personable towards their castmates
“Which Kennedy clearly wins” I’m sorry but were we watching the same lip sync? Kennedy was doing her dancing thing which is always a spectacle but this is a lip sync sweetie, we need to see your lips. Kennedy was the random interpretive dancer to Trixie’s Sia, looks cool but ultimately people bought the ticket to see Sia perform.
I see a few scenarios. If the producers didn’t let Ben eliminate herself, she would win. If they scrapped the jury twist, then Shangela wins and Bebe gets 2nd. If the producers didn’t rig certain placements, Thorgy probably would’ve lasted a bit longer and Aja probably would’ve made top 5/4
I remember Shangela saying to a crowd how she thought milk was going to be in the bottom for the variety show, because when she was performing, you could hear the sound of the velcro being taken off and on whenever she used them and how it basically ruined the performance
I’ve never fully seen this season (it’s not available where I am) but from the snippets and challenges I’ve seen, it was obvious it was rigged to high hell, especially against certain queens, which is so disappointing for me as this season of all stars has some of my all time favourite queens on it (Trixie, Aja, Dela, Thorgy and Shangela), the season just didn’t work out in neither the queens nor production’s favour. I do think the point of the jury twist being thrown in just so Bebe wouldn’t get crowned again and send the entire community haywire is definitely valid, but nevertheless I’m still annoyed about it to this day. The entire BenDeLaCreme situation also both redeemed and tarnished the season as a whole; the thing about the entire thing being almost impossible to be a coincidence is so true. Also I finally found someone else who thinks Aja should have won snatch game, thank god.
I personally prefer the Drag Up Your Life performance. They remind me more of the Spice Girls, who were always very different. Shangela and Kennedy were the obvious weak links or perhaps rather weren't as entertaining. But I honestly feel the same could be said about the eliminated queens. The Sitting on Your Secret performance had a better cohesiveness in the look but felt more "regular girl group". That being said it's very catchy and was fun. But I also feel only Aja and Milk had great performances while the others were just good or fine.. Thorgy's was good, though I found Cardio Kitty was kind of an choice. I feel like it's very in the (litter) box for her and shes' shown to be much more fun/capable. Morgan's was very bland with a boring character and a pointless tear off that I personally think made the outfit worse (not that I'm an expert). Chichi's was good vocally but it felt like she wasn't giving all that much. I agree with her maybe just not being fully immersed and all there this season.
I really get the way you felt about Aja going home and "turning you off from the season" after that. Although i didn't get that feeling when it came to Aja I did with All stars 4 when Naomi sent Manilla home. That was not a fun or creative gag, it honestly ruined that season for me. I feel like when a queen comes back and they are really killing it and someone sends them home it makes interesting drama. But when it came to that one elimination with Naomi I was so let down because manilla deserved to win that season in my opinion. Also it made Naomi look desperate and immature.
Okay listen, I felt happy fir Kennedy being in the final 2, this season really redeemed her and she really is extremely talented. However I will say it is heartbreak to see Shangela not get her top 2 chance at winning
O also think that it wasn’t set up for trixie to win the season, due to her track record. I think that they’ve chosen Ben to win and when she decide to leave they found themselves doubting about who to crown, and from that point they’ve chosen Trixie to win, but it was way to far on the competition to set up any regory for her, so she end up winning a season that didn’t portrayed the best of her
They set up Ben to win and gave her several free wins, with Shangela being the rigged runner up. Then Ben tossed their riggory into the fire, and Shangela ended up being such a bitch no one wanted her in the finale.
For the divas live episode, we know from all stars 2 and this challenge that each queen is assigned a certain role. For instance with the herstory of the world rusical, Coco would've been Cleopatra, and Tatianna was meant to be Joan of Arc. So people like Katya and Phi Phi were set up to fail, and others like Alyssa were given the best role. Going back to AllStars 3, we could go off of this same logic, since Ru assigned the roles once again. If by some impossible chance if Shangela somehow went home last episode, nobody else would be assigned Mariah, they just compiled different audio tracks for the final product. Comparing Thorgy to Kennedy, Kennedy got a good character and good choreography, but she messed up the lip sync, which is on her part. Thorgy wasnt given good choreography or a good character for this type of challenge, but she didn't mess any of it up, she did the best with what she was unjustly given.
Honestly though when all is said and done, Trixie was right in what she said to the final panel, out of every queen from the show, along side other winner like jynx and Alaska, she has done the most with her success and has made such a huge name for herself that honestly she does deserve her crown.
The fact that they didn't vote for shangela in the final lipsync bcause allegedely she was acting like a diva during the whole season speaks volumes for me......
@Tweek Tweak legend says that on the christmas special Jasmine Masters fought Shangela for acting unprofessional...so i really believe that there's a reason for everything that happened during allstars....
Yup, and not enough people seem to recognize that cause they love her too much. All-Stars should be about the competition, but these queens know each other professionally out in the world, so that is going to play a large role whether it be in a jury situation or just the week to week eliminations.
I genuinely don't agree with Bebe being the top for the kitty girl group challenge. Her lyrics were basic at best and she had no real character. Also, I think at this point we're all sick of Bebe falling back on her jungle aesthetic for everything. Cheetah print a good outfit does not make.
The Jury twist was so insane cause I think the producers thought that the queens would take track record in acocunt but they did'nt cause why the hell would they? These queens know each others from outside the show, their sisters. Of course emotions are gonna be in play when you're voting cause how could it not. If there's an opptunity to help a fellow sister possibly win the money and as well as get some desrved recognition from the fandom you would do it. I think the producers thought this Jury would vote like the newer season of the Jury from SurvivorUS or Big BrotherUS who mainly vote on gameplay but you introduce this twist for the first time and so late for the F4 to work on their Jury managment that this Jury end up more like the earlier season of Survivor or BBUS where emotion are high and volatile at times.
It is still wild to me that they invited Bebe back. Like, imagine AS7 and Saha Velour walks through the door. I understand why they did it, but have an already crowed queen come back, is so odd.
eh, not really. unless you had watched from season 1 (which, let’s face it, most fans havent) you probably wouldn’t know who bebe is, or at least be familiar w her. most people start from season 4 or 5 these days. (theyre really missing out lmao)
Not the same. Sasha is part of modern drag. Bebe was old school, and deserved a chance to show she can roll with the times. Sasha would need to do the same things now that she did back then
the season would be golden with the elimination order being (in my opinion): 1st out: Morgan 2nd out: Milk 3rd out: Chi Chi 4th out: Kennedy 5th out: Thorgy Group Challenge: Ben out / Morgan in 5th place: Morgan FINAL 4: Bebe, Aja, Shangela, Trixie FINAL 2: Aja & Shangela WINNER: Shangela
Okay but Kennedy literally gave a whole ass lyrical dance flipping around ( I personally think hiding that she didn't really know the lyrics) Trixie gave a whole ass drag performance. Yes the reveal was underwhelming but it was a full performance. Also those Bebe lyrics at the end of this video kill me. She never makes any fucking sense.
I agree with Trixie not being the rigged winner. They easily could have given her 2 high places and a top 2 place in the first 3 episodes and save her on snatch game. It's weird to see how absurd and almost deranged the production of this season was
Tbh I've watched the Wigs on wigs on wigs runway more times that I would like to admit and it's the one I show my straight friends to show the amazing runways the show has (also Manila's silver gown in AS4)
22:09 Though I get it because what was this challenge? Was there going to be a "Condensed Milk"? "Thorgy Noodle"? This is one of those challenges I don't think should have happened. 27:23 Especially when for "Snatch Game" and the soup can challenge where she showed she obviously knew things.
I feel like one thing that people don’t talk about is the fact that if a queen is being strategic and bitchy during the season (like we’ve heard shangela was) would YOU vote them to be in the top 2? I wouldn’t. Lol
If she deserved it, i would pull a thorgy and yes i would still vote for her. If anything that’s honoring the competition. Asking queens to vote on a competition they didnt witness is a mess
This season started out so strong and then the riggory started. Could've been one of the best seasons ever if not for all the weird choices. Not recognising the talent of Thorgy and Aja is a serious mistake..
Honestly I think Bebe still should've won that lip sync. She actually looked better withought the wig, kinda like Trinity this season. And she still completly outperformed her even withought the wig. Just my unpopular opinion I guess.

But at the same time it would be also kinda BS cause it means ALL of the queens would be acting on their best behavior the whole time, robbing the audience of authenticity

The dead serious reading of Bebe’s lyrics killed me
aja did so well this season but production treated them terribly
For bebe: remember, she didnt know ornacia. She didnt really watch the other seasons apparently. She probably was still stuck in season 1 were you could rip off your wig and it would be a moment
I think she did see the seasons, but in like 2x speed kinda way, cause bebe made some apperances throughout the seasons like in S10 finale, but she just was not that into the current drag as one might think
I feel like trixie honestly did win that lip sync not because Kennedy was doing bad or anything (she was clearly doing better in movement and such) but trixie put so much emotion into that last part of it that like you could tell ru couldn’t keep her eyes off her because of it
Ru had dollar signs in his eyes looking at his cash cow Uhhnn
Shangela going on about game of thrones throughout this season gives me very Chad Michaels going on about Hunger Games in AS1. We love a relevant to the time period reference 😂

Trixie and the gals guessing right why the eliminated queens are back.
Bebe: I think they're here to be our back-up dancers.
Everyone: 😐
I have to agree with you at the end, Trixie wasn't set up to be the winner, but it's sad that they did so many twists that just didn't work. That's why they never did the jury thing again. It was a bad decision.
Let me just say something:
If it's based on the whole season, YES. But America, Facts are Facts
PS: I love a Gag, so Trixie winning was good to me, especially after seeing the amazing things she did with her carreer.
Booo trixie winning still doesn’t make sense to this day
I pretty much agree with everything but I genuinely do think Trixie won that last lip sync.
How was Trixie NOT in the top for the talent show? If anything, she was looked over in some cases.
100% agree about all of the rigory against Aja. Their Studio 54 look was the best by far. It baffles me how they weren't in the top with Trixie.
Aja, Trixie and Thorgy all got some BS critiques.
Season 13 judges: complain about that one Fart joke Rock M. Sakura did

Yeah, all of a season we’re prissy about fart humor? Rock had a good verse and that’s what Michelle zeroed in on. Haven’t they returned to the fart well since Rock too?
Also the entire episode dedicated to eating poop on s7?
@@gilkot4633 To be fair, it was a John Waters challenge, but yes. They also had a fart joke in the Glamazonian Airways song (I think poor Mrs. Kasha Davis got stuck with that.) And I'd prefer fart humor any day over that yeast challenge in DRDU.
And Michelle stanning the shit out of Manila’s fart jokes during season 3’s tribute to soldiers. “I don’t mind a fart joke! Farts are funny!”
I think so too
Im Canadian, and go concerts all over N.

@@elizimmer3838 I agree 100% Kennedy didn’t lip sync as much as she just danced and I think that’s what threw the lip sync for her
@@sftrick Just said that before I saw you'd already said the same thing lol.
Still waiting for the riggory of Canada's drag race. That season is my favorite season of drag race because it was such a fever dream and I can't wait for season 2.
I was today years old when I realized Milk's look was referencing the safety pin
To be fair Trixie did say that guitar was hers
Yep, that's her Gibson Dove.
@@LuMartinez001 How did Trixie not do well? She has one bad performance throughout the season, and was great in all the others.
@@elizimmer3838 oh girl. people still to this day think trixie bombing snatch game means she bombed the whole season. it makes no sense lmao
It's sad she was against such a weak cast. Imagine if we had Dela in all star two instead of Ginger. It would have change the whole thing
@@PaperVisions it really would of but idk how well she would of done it’s an interesting thought
almost anyone in all stars 2 could win all stars 3 if they were in there instead of someone else. all stars 2 had the most talented queens by far

Unpopular Opnion: Milk should have been in the bottom instead of Thorgy, Thorgy was "Low Material" and period
Not even low material they literally set up Thorgy for failure
@@spawn3721 Yes ma'am
This is a very popular opinion tho :')
I think it really was rigged in Shangelas favour, her being 'robbed' is so much more talked about then trixies win
12:11 that runway was pretty but thats it the theme was crazy, sexy, cool this wasn't a single one of those
RIP CHICHI. I cry every time I watch “kitty girl” and see her standing there watching them go on stage 😢😢😢😭😭😭
i wouldnt say this season was “rigged” so to speak. i think that the producers messed around with rules too much and that threw off everything. i think “set up strategically” fits better.
In my opinion this season was made for ben just think about how many challenges are "make up a silly persona" and then go back to what ben was know for on season 6 the judges called her out on it all day
I mean All Stars is usually more comedy/acting based which is what Ben thrives in
BeBe's ominous voice over line of "don't be scared" during the soup can challenge lives rent free in my mind. like. be scared of what? what's scary? _should_ we be scared?
also in may 2021 Aja officially became a member of the Royal House of LaBeija so even if they got robbed for their performance as Crystal, at least the House recognizes them.
Milk did awful as Celine Dion in the Divas Live challenge. She didn’t look like her or act like her. She should have been in the bottom there instead of Thorgy.
All stars 3 is just so fucking rigged but its an a blast to watch the tv was EVERYTHING

@@maciejzaleski621 it's fine love uwu Trixie deserved the win anyway
I read all of it.
Ben in snatch game was obscenely good
This season was rigged for Dela or a Dela-esque queen. Literally every challenge was about portraying a character, except the design challenge which oh-surprise Dela didn't do well in.
Isn't Dela a seamstress? Wonder why she failed that episode
@@willowleaves2008 where did you get that idea? 🤣🤣🤣 but also, seamstress is not equal to designer.
The design challenge was also about portraying the character. The soup can and the dialogue for the runway.
Thank you! I was looking for this comment
Bye Trixie should not have been saved from the bottom in snatch game her rupual didn’t even give the crickets a chuckle
This season was really good. "Fans" were just salty about the winner.
Yeah cuz Trixie didn’t deserve to win ..
Now we need a if it wasn’t rigged cuz as2 Alaska still would’ve won and it’d kinda be the same. But this is way diff
What I would have given to actually see the legitimate top 2 of the season - Ben and Shangela- go at it for the win 😭
If you have Amazon Prime, in some countries you can get a free month of Out TV, where you can watch AllStars 1-3
Just watched the entire season & I can honestly say that Kennedy really coasted all season. Her looks were just not as polished as the other qweens:(
I wonder what would have happened if this season had ended differently. The ending of this season affected the ending of all stars 4
Can't wait to see aja should of won
2:43 to skip the ad and go watch the video
However I will say it is heartbreak to see Shangela not get her top 2 chance at winning
i will always be upset abt how dirty they did thorgy this season. i hope she gets a chance to go on another season.
she's been critizicing the show so hard lately, i don't think she'll be welcomed back
@@PaperVisions she’s on purse first impressions w bob so i feel like the show might like her more now
Tbh dela could have won the soup challenge as well😂 she legit made every single one of these competitors look like amateurs
Cant even watch atm just clicked for your intro music, banger
I think the producers thought this Jury would vote like the newer season of the Jury from SurvivorUS or Big BrotherUS who mainly vote on gameplay but you introduce this twist for the first time and so late for the F4 to work on their Jury managment that this Jury end up more like the earlier season of Survivor or BBUS where emotion are high and volatile at times.
i thought aja also did really well in the divas live challenge and their rudemption runway was SO good, they shouldve been high
Sasha would need to do the same things now that she did back then
the season would be golden with the elimination order being (in my opinion):
1st out: Morgan
2nd out: Milk
3rd out: Chi Chi
4th out: Kennedy
5th out: Thorgy
Group Challenge: Ben out / Morgan in
5th place: Morgan
FINAL 4: Bebe, Aja, Shangela, Trixie
FINAL 2: Aja & Shangela
WINNER: Shangela
Okay but Kennedy literally gave a whole ass lyrical dance flipping around ( I personally think hiding that she didn't really know the lyrics) Trixie gave a whole ass drag performance. Yes the reveal was underwhelming but it was a full performance.
Also those Bebe lyrics at the end of this video kill me. She never makes any fucking sense.
I agree with Trixie not being the rigged winner. They easily could have given her 2 high places and a top 2 place in the first 3 episodes and save her on snatch game. It's weird to see how absurd and almost deranged the production of this season was
10:00 trixie's guitar was hers
Tbh I've watched the Wigs on wigs on wigs runway more times that I would like to admit and it's the one I show my straight friends to show the amazing runways the show has (also Manila's silver gown in AS4)
That whole eleguance runway was AMAZING!
22:09 Though I get it because what was this challenge? Was there going to be a "Condensed Milk"? "Thorgy Noodle"? This is one of those challenges I don't think should have happened.
27:23 Especially when for "Snatch Game" and the soup can challenge where she showed she obviously knew things.
trixie and aja were better than bebe in the divas live imo
I thought Bebe was just Bebe in Diana Ross styling. I also didn't think it was some amazing embodiment of Diana.
Just my unpopular opinion I guess.
trinity looked so beautiful without that wig 😭😭😍😍!!
