Ya the grease works good for years. The springs get crappy on these. Sometimes you find one thrown out and just take the valves and the springs on it its what I had to do when one spring was rusted,
This saved me from purchasing a new manifold. And the manifold was expensive enough that I likely would have just purchased a new grill since I'd like a three burner anyway. And since I wasn't going to purchase a new grill I would have just lived with it for a year or two. That's the long way of saying, thanks!
Ya they need grease over time Worst is when they get wet with water seems to mess them up faster

here to thank you like others.. had one burner knob that was uncooperative.. this fixed it right up.. if you were really going to get crazy with it.. you could replace that little spring too.. so the knob would be more responsive
Yes I pick springs out of old BBQs when people throw them out. Its strange walking up to them poping the cover off, 2 screws and picking the springs but... I dont care free parts! recycling is the way for a cleaner greener future. Nothing else.

Any high temp brake grease works
