- We met Ayaan Ahmed, owner of Ather 450 in Bangaluru again after 2 yrs for a followup. He shared his memorable experience of riding the Ather450 for 2 yrs. He was one of the early adopters. He talked about service costs, subscriptions and what he would like in his next Ather.

My Ather has Completed 34735 Kms in 2 years (12/2/2019) 10 days. I Very Happy with the Performance and Handling of the Vehicle. I am not Finding any Slow Performance or Weak Battery, it is still as New.

Simplicity takes the reward.. Both the interviewer and the owner spoke straight to the point. Although it looks more of a final exam after thorough coaching. The owner being a student was frank enough to express himself equally supported by the channel.. Overall it was a better video since this review was after using it for almost 2 years . Reading a few comments here will help you learn more from similar owners.
It’s good to hear honest and frank opinions about vehicles from practical users, rather than you -tubers who never drive them or have any knowledge in the auto industry.

You guys should interview Abhishek. He’s done 25k+ Km his battery is seeing degradation now. He’s from bangalore. He’s taken his scooter for long rides to vijayawada(600+Km)

@@pluginIndia and my 450 is absolutely fine. The dashboard is getting slower like a 5 year old phone. But range and performance and everything else mechanically is perfect. I'm getting more range now since I've learnt to ride it better. 11k Km done in 1.5 yrs and hope to hit 20k Km soon
From what I hear. The earliest ather owners have reached 30000 Km on their scooters and barely noticing degrdation.

I dont understand why people are not addresing the after sale service issues? People are facing so much issues with ather for 450 after sale service
I have Honda Dio 2006 model , i have not given anybody to ride my bike til now , not even my brother , it's done more then 5 lakh kilometers . Stil running the best
I ride my Ather 450X and i love it but i had many issues in beginning like one main issue was handle was losse so in small patches or potholes the handle was making loud and cheap noises . I have recording proof
That Belt getting torn up at really high torque is a common issue in high power motorcycles. Ather's first models(like this one in the video) used single transmission between motor and belt, which enhanced the risk and so Ather changed it two some dual assembly in the later models. So, chances of belt broken is low now.
Is belt replacement in warranty free or chargeable ..?
What about hill stations and offroad ride? Raining season?

No, there are 2 subscription packs available. One for Connectivity (Pro/Lite) and other for Service (Pro/Lite).
Connectivity Pro is around INR 2400 p.a I guess and Subscription Pro is 3600 p.a.
These are the packs that the Ather guy told me when I went for a test ride.
Its free till 31 Dec 2022 I guess

As per rules he can get fined for riding scooter above 50kmph... *But in Incredible India THERE ARE NO TRAFFIC RULES* 😀😀😀 ... As long as there are no cops... we can ride/drive as we want.
Soon OTA updates will be used to destroy motorcycles just like mobile phone manufacturers slow down phones with updates

Why can't ather make scooties with removable batteries. Charging batteries at home would be so convenient.
Because of the battery specifications, the weight of the battery is and would be heavy. Thus, it would be uncomfortable and difficult to carry it around.
Though I can understand the convenience factor.
Maybe in future years, depending on battery tech development, portable batteries would be a reality soon 🙂

We did look for TVS showrooms showcasing IQube, but there were only a few which were very far away from our location.
Have it in mind and we shall do it soon
@@FarahHalim yes they are quite far away. I had to ride 26 Km or so to the TVS show room to take a test ride. But it's worth it. I really think you guys should nake the long trip if you're still around. Metro rail can get you most of the way till TVS showrrom and a short bounce ev ride for the last few kilometres.
But TVS doesn't want to sell them. So what's the point?

I'm getting option to buy old E20 T2, 2014 Model 28 k completed at 3.5 lacks please give your advice. Location Gurgaon. For me negative points is it's 2 door design and Owner claim to have 80 km range with A.C (I'm not sure about).

At present....the cost of Ather 450X battery is 70,000 rs.
By the time you need replacement. I am sure vehicle would have been atleaat 4 to 5 year old.
By that time vattery 2.8kw would costs 40 to 45k

First of all it's too much costly just double in price in comparison to activa or Jupiter and India m to abhi aai h to how it's possible they are giving 2year experiences.. what ever it may be MN test drive ki h in Jaipur 2 varients m available h or dono m difference software Ka h 1 is Bluetooth and 2 is warp mood or isi ki vjh s Iska pick-up Jada h 60-90+ km/h or price m BHI fark h bht.. and service minimum 1500rs ki h after 6months or you complete 5000-6000km . And 1 more thing is GPS system m subscribe karwana padega Jo ki free Hona chahie kuki ek to bht costly h upr s y meetha kharcha better you use your phone for finding locations.. and plastic body h registration h insurance h etc.. I would like to on ather 450x agar y round of 1-1.1lacks tak ho to its good because after purchasing iski cost inkalne m minimum 4-5 year to lag hi jaegye better for present use petrol vehicle 👍 .
