I'm homeless in Australia, one of the issues I hate is that I don't do drugs besides cheap wine, I put all my rubbish in the bins and look after spots I've stayed in, however I still get treated like others and society tries to push all homeless into one basket! I wish the community housing places here would start drug testing because it seems like they almost encourage users to feel free to shoot up instead of getting them rehabilitation!

I feel for you guys for being in that situation i hope you can find the help you need to get back on your feet. One bad apple can ruin it for everybody unfortunately.
The city government should be protecting it’s taxpayers. What is wrong with the city council? We need to build more mental hospitals and jails. BUT DON’T GIVE HOMELESS PEOPLE FREE HOTEL ROOMS TO CONTINUE TO FEED THEIR ADDICTIONS.

Do you use public computers and if so how do they allow you to come into their establishment all filthy and if you’re not clean how do you clean yourself?
@@100texan2 I wrote a whole long comment but it didn’t even post. But yes some homeless do work. Shower at the gym and wash clothes at Laundry mat or nor whatever they can find that works. Some don’t work maybe they get money sent to them or get Social Security or unemployment. Who knows everyone is different and get by in different ways. Personally I don’t know any other homeless person, I keep to myself. If we were in a room together you wouldn’t know I was homeless. Like I said I’m not not drugs. People are homeless for different reasons abusive family, depression, anxiety mental health, emotional health, addictions, and of course drugs (the one most commonly associated with homeless people) because they are the most Obvious ones examples are the dirty clothes and seeing them on drugs on the street. Some do it because they downright don’t wanna Pay for home and rather live for cheap. But there are homeless people and you won’t even know it. They have clean clothes and are not on drugs. Homeless children, teens, young adults, old people. All for different reasons. You can google this. Some even live in their vehicles or motels, wherever they can. They can live anywhere since they are homeless, like the people living under the subways of New York. Really you yourself could go to the middle of nowhere , where their are no people and live if you know how to hunt, grow food and have water. And I wouldn’t doubt if someone is already doing it.

They used to leave so many shopping carts on my commercial property, I would have to contact Home Depot in advance to tell them I was coming. Otherwise, I would be arrested for having six of their shopping carts in the back of my truck...
There's absolutely no reason for this. They have homeless shelters and programs that help with these things. I've been homeless before. And I never once did any of these things because I'm an adult and I know about Respect. Now I'm in a pretty good spot. But of course I'm not in San Antonio. I'm in a small town that cheaper than San Antonio.
Homeless shelters are overrun here, they're underfunded and unorganized. If you wanna potentially live and sleep next to drug addicts or mentally ill ppl you go to shelters. I'd rather live in my vehicle.

If you know how to be homeless correctly then you should know how to hold a job and socialize with normal people to be able to hold a job I know felons and people with no vehicles that have good jobs but because they have resolve they keep going.
Bleeding heart do-gooders need to stop feeling sorry for these homeless people who CHOOSE to be homeless, close down soup kitchens and shelters and handouts and you'll see how quickly these people start helping themselves

Rehabilitation is needed for those who have addictions- no questions there,and it should be mandatory. Sending our good jobs and manufacturing overseas was the most evil, harebrained scheme,which wrecked the country. Add to that a permanent housing shortage throughout.most of America,thanks to the mysterious stopping of apartments being built,by 1980. The perfect storm for homelessness.
