- During their 2019-2020 fiscal year the group had 1,100 people reach out to them for services. That number for 2020-2021 is up 700 more cases and the fiscal year is not over yet.

You know, when I was a kid my dad would take myself and brothers to a taco shop and he would buy 50 to 60 tacos and we would go hand them out. I will never forget the day my dad got a ticket because it's against the law to help people, unless you are an organization. This law needs to be stopped

CAN TINY HOMES BE THE ANSWER FOR THE HOMELESS AS A HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FROM THE HOUSING AUTHORITY FROM SAN ANTONIO , AS SOME STATES HAVE DONE.

They can get help only if they want help. The majority of them are on drugs. If people stop giving them money to support there habits they will never get help.
Also note that you are basically saying they won't get help until you STOP HELPING them, did it not occur to you how ridiculous that sounds?

They don't want help. They get more money from working the traffic corner. It's the fault people of this city that keeps giving them money at those corners. If you people stop doing that maybe most of them will move on to another city that will support them at those corners.

I don't have a drug addiction nor am I mentally handicapped..my rent went up my rent went up about $400 because somebody else bought the house and they remodel the down stairs and want us to either move downstairs for a thousand 150 plus utilities and then on top of that they want us to pay a deposit of 1150

Tons of drugs in San Antonio, you name it cocaine, heroin, meth, pot.....tons of people are strung on drugs!
We've asked them to work for us and they say no they want only to take the money they want the easy way
You can help them but don't enable them either! Some homeless don't want to change! They need to be held accountable for bad behaviors too.

Just the city buy a small piece of land out in city limits. They can put their tents ⛺️ nobody bothered nobody .

A lot of people have to stop assuming things about the homeless. People are hurting and need help. This will test your heart...are you a Christian or not? I am not assuming other religions don't care, just asking about the one with which I am familiar. When we make it a crime to be poor or help the poor, what does that say about our humanity?
Didn't you see? They DON'T WANT HELP!!!! If you're so concerned about them then offer them to stay at your home. People say what you're saying but I don't see them taking any of them home. Old saying " YOU CAN LEAD THE HORSE TO THE WATER BUT YOU CAN'T MAKE THEM DRINK IT " .
@@fernandodeleon3454 The point is people should help in any way they can. No one has to take a stranger home, but maybe donate to a shelter or give a person a meal. Lots of homeless are veterans with PTSD or mental illness. Does it matter more if they are ready for services or if they eat on a daily basis? Do what you feel is right. You seem agitated or pressed or whatever...

@@alfredoalcantar8691 I'm agitated because I'm also a disabled veteran diagnosed with severe PTSD. Also diagnosed as being a major bipolar maniac depression. I also was homeless for year's and was an alcoholic. I don't know what made me go to the VA and finally ask for help. Honestly, I didn't really want to, but I did and was in the VA hospital for month's. It's in the mind of ANY individual what choice they want, either voluntary get help or simply stay in the gutter's. THAT'S THEIR CHOICE, the veteran's who are homeless can get the help that they need. It all comes down to IF they want that help and it's on the government. Time and time again people have gone to them for year's and they simply refuse the help.

The city should help The homeless people out the ones that want the help some will tell you that they want to be out there and some will tell you they need the word of God in they life and but I help them when but the City won’t help the homeless people out they see them out here asking for money and the cops will come by and they would stop and tell them to move around

we are as strong as our weakest link. we need case workers for these guys who cant be accountable to themselves and have no family to help them w afairs. we used to have mental health facilities in this state before the a hole Republicans criminalized them and let em to the streets and their own devices and the wolves
