Hi Daniel! Hello from here! More videos to come, hopefully you are subscribed and will watch them as they come out! Thank you for watching and commenting :)
Clear epoxy resin gets very hot when curing, the more you mix and pour in one go, the bigger the chemical reaction. You either have to do multiple small pours which creates visible layers or there is deep pour resin for large pours which cures slower. If you do multiple pours, you can hide layers since the only show up when viewed from the side. Depending on how you pour depends from where you can see the layers
Thanks Eener1000, my biggest error was using polyester resin, which is extremely exothermic in its reaction, and I also completely forgot everything I had learned using resins before which made the disaster you saw in the video. But, using the knowledge you have imparted and my previous knowledge (which I won't forget next time) I will use resin in the future and hopefully not have such a disaster 😉
Wow another amazing sculpting video. Your skills are next level. I wish I good sculpt even half as good as that haha. One question where do you get your sculpting clay and tools from?
Thank you MrBurninggrubber! Happy you watched another video. Most of my tools I accumulated over time. To be honest, a good set of ball stylus (cheep on ebay) and a metal set of wax carving tools (again cheep on ebay) would be all you really need. I have a few dental tools which are magical for sculpting, I spent a little on one of them years ago and it's been my workhorse ever since. If you want to talk tools and techniques, come chat on my instagram. Thanks again for watching and commenting. :)

@BlindedbyDaylight completely valid lol. I guess that's a risk when doing near human stuff vs a nid or robot zombie or galactic wombat. I'm sure that's the irl story behind ork hair. They went there naturally enough, and then had to retcon it. Maybe grots have the ability to nurse sickly squigs, thus nips. Wouldn't be the dumbest 40k retcon/wtfuc#kery.

Awesome sculpt as always! And you live and learn, at least you might have helped others to avoid making the same mistake!
Thank you @kabin Miniatures! Thank you for watching and commenting. I definitely learned a lot with this one. In the future I will tackle resin again. But I know what not to do this time!
Thanks for sharing you absolutely magnificent sculpture, and the devastating fail of the diorama. It shows there's still hope for me yet!!
Thank you Kev Atkins. The resin failing was all my fault. But I learned a lot, so next time it will turn out OK..... and not dissolve all my hard work 😆
Just love the character in the goblin! Also, I really like seeing your technique, so many smart steps :)

Resin death 😥 that's a pain that lingers. The extra detail really added to the sculptures narrative perfectly!
Oddly, I want too angry about the mess up with the resin. It was all my fault. I totally forgot all I knew about resin whe I did it. I'll try again in the future for sure. He still came out OK, he's just not wistfully looking out over the sea, about to be devoured by sea monster ;)
Hi BBD, that was fantastic! So very enjoyable but sorry for your “ mishap” ! Try that again as it looked terrific! Looking forward to the next video.

Love your music choices too!
Thank you Jeremy Solo (great name)! Hopefully you are subscribed, more videos to come
Amazing mate! Recently been trying sculpting with sprew plastic and acetone (one wip started already) You've inspired me to try makeing hats for my Orks.
That is fantastic news! Always hesitant to use sprue goo. Acetone is nasty stuff, are you ever tempted by apoxie sculpt or super sculpey original? Thanks for watching, commenting and subscribing :)
@@BlindedbyDaylight I honestly know next to nothing about them, But once my army is in a playable state (if I'm ever finished) I'd love to try. The sprew goo is kind of my first attempt at sculpting in general tbh. Seems pretty safe as long as you use no more than a couple shot glasses worth and work with VERY GOOD ventilation. (and keep all sources of ignition well away)

The sculpt looks amazing! Even though the cool diorama ended up not working out, the simpler base you did still looks great.

Thank you Halloween Crab! Haha yes, finally learning how to use the new oven.... and how to set an alarm so I don't forget about projects sitting in there ;)

Thanks Nicholas! I'll have to give it a listen :)
Is Konan da Kunnin an orky reversal of Conan the Barbarian?
This channel got me to use apoxy sculpt n I refuse to use any of the air dry polymer clays I used to use. This video in particular also was great help in sculpting out ork blood axe hats

Real shame about the resin, it looked really cool!
Thank you Ashley! Really appreciate that you came back to watch another video! I was a real shame about the resin, totally my fault. When it came to mixing it I just got everything wrong... but I did get to take a hammer to it ;) I still keep the only surviving bit of that diorama in my studio to remind me to follow the manufacturer guidelines when using chemicals. New video on the way.... its been a while

Amazing. I have to say that, while the bigger base was gorgeous, I feel that the smaller base really allows this little grot to shine on his own merits. Also, I hope you run into Snipe and Wib in the near future.
Thank you Astro Zombiac! Love your logo! I need to re address my channel picture at some point soon. Yes, I totally agree with you about the base. @@BlindedbyDaylight In terms of sculpting I've only tried a few things, mainly basic shapes and the like using modelling clay, but I've been using green stuff for a good while to help in kitbashing my Warhammer models, something so simple as an extra decoration or cloak can really add individuality to each squad member
@@christianbradley6960 sounds like a great place to start! I really should do more converting on my Eldar, oddly I don't really converting them much at all. Hello. Fantastic work. Very cool.
I'm sorry you lost your water stand. I can imagine how hard it was for you. But. In my opinion, this one with a box is even better. The character is better developed. Is that the box is bright and a little distracting.

I think if i went too dark with the ammo crate it wouldnt have contrasted enough against his black coat. Amazing news about the sculpting, thank you. I hope it all goes well.
Bravo sir! I think your plan B base was more appropriate. As Bob Ross said: “There are no mistakes, only happy accidents.”

Awesome build as usual. But now i can't get it out of my head as to why any ork species would have nippeles?
Aesthetically I think they would all look a bit odd without them. I had to go back and watch my own video here thinking 'did I sculpt nips on this guy?' 😂
