The first day of kindergarten can be so tough. Loukas had no idea why he was being asked to do all of this all by himself. And the water. He could have drowned!! It went all the way up to his ankles. He got quite the education that day and was already putting things together better after the water. He's going to be fun to watch develop. What a big powerful boy he is!
So. Much. Kudos. I just love how much empathy you have for your horses, how you stay calm and gentle through stallion meltdowns and toddler horse loneliness moments and water freakouts and make sure the horse has a positive experience. How you praise every single thing they do well. You're an example to everyone in the sport.
I am sorry I was laughing so hard. Poor lonesome baby, scary water but I think he was also a bit scared of the people standing there, maybe? Your dad did a great job. You did beautiful staying calm. Some kids (horses) need extra, and you did an excellent job of training. You did not get angry; You did not thump on him; you took this extra time and made it a training moment. I like how you talk to your horse and smooch. Do extra brushing on him, just you, and he will start to trust you more.
The people next to the water actually helped him. As he gained confidence with them. He has gone schooling twice before and I couldn’t get him anywhere it in thr beginning unless I had a lead horse. And then I got him to transfer the confidence to a person. Once i got him in the water he was ok. It is the water not the people. He’s not spooky of people. He thinks the water is “hot lava” and it’s not until my dad splashed him and he thinks “oh it’s just water”. Fairly typical of a young horse and it just takes positive experiences and then he will get it!
Baby Stallion is so lucky to have you as his trainer. You will teach him, not only his job (outside of breeding) but to have fun in his job. If he can find fun in his training and competing he will have a much better life. A breeding stallion's life can be pretty limited...
So much to say! Such a pleasure seeing how you encourage him yet show a young fella how to get through it. Yay through the water! "We got eliminated but that's okay"
You really are the perfect rider for such a 'baby' horse! His toddler tantrums don't faze you and he came back much better for the happy experience you have him. Looking forward to watching this partnership develop.
As someone who took her baby horse out to his very first XC schooling recently, I felt this in my soul 😂 He whinnied at every new horse he saw, he got so excited about running about that he forgot about the jumps, and he was very spooked by the big kid jumps. (But I give him massive credit where credit is due, seeing as he jumped his first ever ditch & brush jumps like an absolute pro.) It’s hard to focus as a baby on XC when there’s so much going on and you’re all alone on course, congrats to the both of you for completing the course :) He’s such a brave boy!
What a time for my horse to human translator to go on the fritz! Good job at the water. That's what's nice about having an open schooling day before the competition day.
the first day is always so scary but you were gentle and calm with him, he had quite the learning experience and with a bit more practice he will get it down in no time he'll get there
It's interesting that he kept a lovely rhythm even with his anxiety. I feel like he just needed time to look away from the water for a minute to have a little reset hard at a competition. That's what horses do in the paddock, what the scary movie, look away, watch the scary movie. Lovely horse.
Loukas: I am not a loner. I am not a seahorse. Give me friends & dry land & I'm on it! Such a cutie, with his calling & his stalling. I think he was waiting for your dad to carry him through the water!
He’s a spicy one….although there was a lot of screaming and the occasional buck he didn’t really look at anything except the water 😂. I find big bad stallions are usually the more scared than the mares and geldings……
SO late to this video… but this is EXACTLY how my 12 year old Dutch Warmblood behaves when I take him out hacking alone in the fields (actually he does this in the arena too, when he’s all alone, and has an absolute FIT if another horse is in the arena with him and leaves without him). I’ve played with him over some of the small XC jumps I have on my farm, thinking maybe one day we could step out of the H/J world and do a little low level eventing (he’s great in the SJ and can do lower level dressage quite well). But I don’t think he’d put up with being alone on a full course, much less ever set a foot into water! 😂 The constant whinnying and acting silly is JUST like my horse too. Had me in stitches at the similarities! Guess I need a different horse if I ever want to have a go at eventing…
No, it's a young warmblood stallion standing in the local area in Florida that Elisa took on to train. She bred her Thoroughbred mare to this guy earlier this year. I think there's a prior video about this on her channel.
@@elkefaber8873 that's interesting. Not sure how he got his unusual spelling. I looked up his pedigree on the All Breed Pedigree Query website. He is a son of Holsteiner stallion Lotus T who also stands in Florida. Lotus T is huge at 17.3 hands! He goes back in his sire line to Thoroughbred stallion Ladykiller (bred in GB) who started a very influential line of Holsteiners in Germany through many sons. Lotus T's grandfather is Landgraf I, a Holsteiner son of Ladykiller. Lotus T's dam's line is all Thoroughbred with a broodmare sire from the Bold Ruler sire line (sire of Secretariat) with several generations bred in the US. In contrast, his son Loukas T's female line are all Hanoverian, Rhinelander and Oldenburg, so they doubled down on the German warmbloods when breeding him from his sire's more than 50% Thoroughbred blood. Sorry if too much info. I'm a bit of a pedigree geek (mainly Thoroughbreds). 😀

Is it wrong that I found this very amusing? His ‘singing with joy’ as loped casually along put a big smile on my face.
He is so funny! Love to see you back and posting again.
What a vocal stallion! Loved how your dad helped you get Loukas thru the water🏇
At least Loukas has the hair to match the drama. Poor baby. I mean that with love. He is going to be amazing. Merry Christmas!
Oh the baby stallion with so many Big Feelings and Opinions! Such a nice job with him here.
I love how when he acts up you just say “Well that’s unnecessary!”, amazing job with this little baby
Such a good ride on the darling youngster. Aw... He's so lucky to have a kind and empathic trainer to get him through these so formative early stages.
I had to rewind to hear that you actually said, "No one cares about you, buddy." Hilarious!
You have the patience of a saint! I am LOVING watching this boy come along. ❤❤❤
What a time for my horse to human translator to go on the fritz! Good job at the water. That's what's nice about having an open schooling day before the competition day.
Can't wait to see what this guy is like in a year! Lucky dude to have you as his rider
Very professional! Great for us amateurs to watch calm, cool horsemanship.
Such drama! lol. You handled him beautifully.
I love, love love watching you produce these horses!! you are SO GOOD at it! :)
the first day is always so scary but you were gentle and calm with him, he had quite the learning experience and with a bit more practice he will get it down in no time he'll get there
" no one cares about you buddy"
loukas: "that hit hard"
Absolutely love his color 🐴. Bet he makes beautiful foals.
He’s such a pretty boy 😍
Stallions scare me 😂 but you rode him wonderfully! 🥰
HE COULD HAVE DROWNED in 6 inches of water 😂
i think this your best helmet cam ever - its really scary to be a big stallion all by yourself on a beginner novice course.
I love this horse! Where can I learn more about him? I would love to have one just like him!
THANK YOU ELISA, you're amazing.
Hooray for schooling shows!

Awww, nicely done, both of you.
Funny how vocal he is, had always something to say 😂
He is so pretty 😍
I did like the gentleman coming back in better than the rogue going out. 🥰
Loukas: I am not a loner. I am not a seahorse. Give me friends & dry land & I'm on it!
Such a cutie, with his calling & his stalling. I think he was waiting for your dad to carry him through the water!
He came over all unnecessary! Stallion moments and learning curves. Wonderful.
What happened to loukas t do u still train with him
🤣 i dont think ive heard a horse talk on course as much as he has
You are such a great trainer.
Beautiful Loukas
Definitely a stallion 😂😂😂😂😂😂
That water is scary stuff! Our horses don’t like water puddles but cross a river just fine. Go figure
Adorable even with all the newbie insecurities. He's a cutie.
He’s a spicy one….although there was a lot of screaming and the occasional buck he didn’t really look at anything except the water 😂. I find big bad stallions are usually the more scared than the mares and geldings……
at the end he announced that he won. lol
what a good boy!
Awe it’s so hard with stallions & he’s a baby still…he did great 🎉
So much image stability that it hardly looks like u r riding.
Lucas sure loves to talk!!🏇🍎🥕🥕🍎
I like how you didn't get frustrated with your horse even though he was refusing to go into the water it could be scary for the horse.
Are some horses just more talkative or is that a young horse thing? Is he calling to his buddies?
He is a stallion
Any openings for co ownership?

Unusual color
Is this a horse you bought last year in Great Britain with Lucinda Green?

@@suzanneyoung8011 Thank you 😃
@@elkefaber8873 you're welcome 😊
@@suzanneyoung8011 i am from Germany 👈😄 nice to watch a Holsteiner in USA, the german name should be Lukas 🤩

Does anyone know why she was allowed to finish the course if she was eliminated?
Its ok at a schooling show.
Why was your horse whinnying? Is he ok? 😊
He’s a stallion.
I think you have a husky in a horse suit there...
Great job ELISA tell him to build a bridge and jump over it and get on with it tuff love is the best in that case senirio team ELISA the best
No sé si me entenderás pero yo creo que al caballo le pasa algo, lo digo por experiencia
He's just a young four-year-old stallion that is very new in his training. I think it's his first time out at the schooling show.
Les puedo asegurar que no hay nada malo con este caballo, ¡solo no tiene experiencia! El es joven.
Es un semental joven y sin experiencia, y creo que es su primer "Competición" si mal no lei en los comentarios, es normal.
a talkative young man!, He was perfect over those jumps.
