In this case, why not just replace the tank since it is so bad ? When you figure out your time dicking around with it, it's not like tanks aren't available. Just a thought...
The reason why fuel tanks don't explode is because SIENCE. Explosions need to be in a SEALED enviroment to get to release that power.. But the fuel tank has a MASSIVE HOLE in the filler neck. So all that explosive power can not create pressure because all the pressure is relieved from the filler neck.. So you should feel a WHOOMPH from the filler neck as all that pressure releases. But no explosion..
V4 Garage um no..fuel tanks do explode based on how much vapor amd gas has absorbed into the metal. i am in the fuel tank fabricating and repair business.
Legend said this video has killed 23,000 viewers. Now that we survived this it's safe to work on the tank! LOL
How to weld your gas tank without starting it on fire:
Step 1. Light gas tank on fire.
Just call you DANGER BOY!
That was scary I thought it was going to blow up LOL
What about filling the tank with water...
The sirens in the background are perfect !!!!
FUCK DUDE HAHAHAHAHA I LOVED IT!

I did this too but used a wick on a painting pole. took 5 burn outs to remove all vapor
Me and my brother tried it and my brother got a 3rd degree burn
eZiiGamer - that’s called a learning curve.
Why not just replace the tank?
Saves another $100 plus. Parts add up. I would still need to seal the new one anyway. So...
Not my preferred way, but more exciting
Does this also work with a diesel tank?
diesel non explosive. it will burn like the charcoal starter fluid.
Atomized diesel is extremely explosive

wouldnt rust absorb more fuel? sad when ignorant people work on an old fuel drum or something similar and blow themselves up.
FamousRootBeer I'm still here... and the rust , remaining fuel and holes not so much...😂
FamousRootBeer FYI, needless to say the tank was throughly washed out BEFORE ever doing this. This is to remove any final fuel residue.
@@digitalPimple so why it is not mentioned on the video?
tape the holes and fill with water?
gas is not water soluble, it will stay on the tank surfaces
