I live here and it’s awesome, we always go out into TNT area to visit the concrete mounds where he “lives”. If you drive out there and turn off your car, you can see two red lights in the air lower than plans and very close together. I’ve been a moth man fevistal Queen, and whenever anyone is by the statue we usually climb in his arms and take a pic😂❤️
Actually me and my wife live in Point Pleasant right now and it's worth mentioning that in addition to the Mothman statue we also have the Mothman Festival as well as a lot of reports a paranormal activity in and around town as well as in the Lowe Hotel
I live only 20 minutes from Point Pleasant. In fact, I was born there. I'm amazed that such a tiny museum like Mothman brings so many people from all over the world! The floodwall and Main Street is also a great place to play Pokemon Go!
man when i was a kid i loved mothman and i know that he broke the silver bridge and it is amazing how something so unknown can be so strong so yea mothman was cool for me
It was proven it was a structural problem there was no mothman nor was there ever a mothman. I've lived in point all my life. Yea the idea of him is pretty scary and neat but there was never a mothman.
We went to see mothman at point pleasant last year when we drove from Florida to West Virginia to visit ,, that painting on that wall there at the river is beautiful
Love this !!! I had a childhood friend who had relatives that lived in WVA during that time , they told her of the area people's tales of encounters with the Mothman !
About ten years ago we had an opportunity to stay in this area and visit the McClintic Wildlife Management area "TNT Area" near where the Mothman was first sighted. Great video about a cool little town with a lot of history. Keep it up.
To view the site of your scenic walk from a streaming webcam positioned on the roof of that historic "motor hotel" situated opposite the mothman statue, visit www.thelowehotel.com.
There is also a film "The Mothman Prophecies" I like the cigar a wonderful gesture, but it is good. Dunmore's Proclamation: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunmore%27s_Proclamation
Is he evil, and when its somewhere he spreads doom there. Or does he warn us of doom by being there to scare the people off so they don't get hurt. We shall never know.
IMHO i believe that "it" is more or a warning than "evil". The bridge collapsed due to structural problems but the Mothman, water it was, was warning people a year before.
The Battle of Point Pleasant - known as the Battle of Kanawha in some older accounts - was the only major action of Dunmore's War. It was fought on October 10, 1774, primarily between Virginia militia and Indians from the Shawnee and Mingo tribes. Along the Ohio River near modern Point Pleasant, West Virginia, Indians under the Shawnee Chief Cornstalk attacked Virginia militia under Colonel Andrew Lewis, hoping to halt Lewis's advance into the Ohio Valley. After a long and furious battle, Cornstalk retreated. After the battle, the Virginians, along with a second force led by Lord Dunmore, the Royal Governor of Virginia, marched into the Ohio Valley and compelled Cornstalk to agree to a treaty, ending the war.

My family lived in the same town they knows where moth man lived. Moth man lived in the tunnels underground
I grew up around there. I have a friend that was on that bridge and survived. He had survivors guilt until the end of his life. It was so sad.

So glad to see you had a great time with Adam. I was so obsessed with Mothman after the movie.. My condolences for Teresa.

MOTH MAN ISN'T EVIL!!!!!!!
This reminds me of my trip...
I was supposed to visit last summer but you-know-what derailed those plans. Hopefully I'll be able to go this year.
Come Atlanta Ga!!!!! I want to go to a museum with you !!!!!!!!
My father grew up in point pleasant his entire life and my great uncle actually died during that bridge collapse
Awesome video.
I was right! I saw that you were wearing a Mothman t-shirt in one of Adam's vlogs the other day and knew a Point Pleasant video was coming. Lol.
Oh, and good job doing an entire video about Mothman without using the word creepy.
See, I have a wide vocabulary
+The Carpetbagger Impressive 👍
@@TheCarpetbagger I don't think he's evil, half people think of him as a evil entity.
Best part for me is that I live 10-15 minutes away from Pt Pleasant. :)
thanks for another great video
My uncle was the creator of the mothman statue
Lord Dunmore was the governor of Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia. Witch you should go and see for your self.
6:22: Get in my belly! 😂
Lord Dunmore was Governor of Colonial Virginia. According to Google he offered slaves their freedom if they would fight in the British army.
I have family lived their and they see the moth man
Nice video!

I stayed at the Lowe
I saw a tv show were they hunted the mothman
I have studied the Mothman stories quite a bit. Did you go to the museum while there?
Was that cigar lit? That's strange. Lol I was waiting for you to do that hissing noise you do when you zoom in on things that are scary looking.
There is also a film "The Mothman Prophecies"
I like the cigar a wonderful gesture, but it is good.
Dunmore's Proclamation:

No my aunt lives near there in the woods
I watched the movie last night

Ah, I saw the Dan Bell video recently - you're staying in the same hotel I presume? I'd love to visit this place
Yes, the hotel is amazing
When fallout 76 brings you here
The statue disappointed me slightly, lol.
The statues were made by the same person the only reason I know that is I talk to the people who ran them off man museum that's what they said
