Everywhere you can hear the same recognizable Blues de luxe, which sounds great. Pedals only slightly change timbre and sustain and spoil the sound a little
Always liked Caline pedals. I swear by my Pure Sky and Orange Burst drive pedals. Been curious about the duals - gotta say, Caline have done it again. These are remarkably good sounding for the price. That Devilfish is sweet, the Andes surprised the hell outta me - the Pure Sky on its is always great, but they really nailed it with clean boost side of the pedal, just makes a good thing better. Huge tone. Thanks for the thorough demo, and a Very Merry Xmas to you and yours, Shane.
Ive just ordered their WONDERLAND pedal... with Reverb, Decay and Chorus. It's an amazing out of world tonality when using long slow chords. Totally Awesome.
Shane I recently purchased a Caline CP-76, basically a TS9 and T808 in one pedal, absolutely wrapped with it. Love that artist are now a supplier of them.
I have the Devilfish and absolutely love it. It's the perfect 2-in-1 for 80s inspired tones. I love how sparkly and lush the chorus is, and the tape-like grit of the delay.
I think I'll grab it - it's crazy inexpensive and sounds awesome. It's kinda similar to the Visual Sound H20 (V1) I have, but the chorus is brighter and the delay is, as you say, closer to tape whereas the H20 has a more analog type delay. The delay time control on the H20 is the secret weapon. You can get great Flanger tones.
I had the opposite opinion and returned it. I thought the chorus sounded so cheesy and the delay was too polite when playing loud. I have always used vintage Boss or Ibanez Chorus pedals which in fairness isn't exactly fair to compare those tones with the Caline, but I really wanted to like it so as to feel ok using it live instead of beating up my old good stuff every weekend. I loved their Key West pedal but wish they would have used the Pure Sky instead of the Zen thingy. Hopefully they continue to do these dual pedals because they are really cool for the price.
Great! Thanks for this review! I've had very good luck with Caline pedals, I like them a lot, I've got their DynaComp clone, their Flanger which is a take on the classic MXR Flanger and a noise gate, but was curious about the Ragnarok and couldn't find a good review. They're honestly a great little company, almost like what the Japanese pedals were in the '80s.
They all sound good to my ears! On side note, I got the Caline Tiger eye distortion pedal, 35 bucks, on Amazon and yo it works so damn well for me I bought 2 more as spares! 🤘🏻
I have the Nightwolf and enjoy using it because I love the fuzz tone and having that incredibly useful clean overdrive to use on its own or to stack into other pedals further up my signal chain. I have to note the fuzz face circuit is unusually quiet on its own though so I usually run it dialled to max or with the overdrive running. This is actually where the voice switch comes into its own. Running the OD into the fuzz boosts the signal into the fuzz making it "wilder" while running the fuzz into the transparent OD maintains the fuzz tone but boosts the volume. At the end of the day its an inexpensive pedal. Is it anywhere near perfect? No, but for the money I have a versatile pedal that gives me some tone options I love, so can't complain.
Thanks for giving an overview of all these pedals. I was most interested in the Stellar and wish you had turned on the eq in the last example after making adjustments to it. I find it confusing that they have a knob for the compressor called eq on a dual pedal with a separate eq section. You said it adjusted the brightness of the compressor. I'm sure I'd get used to it quickly but imho it would have made more sense to call it a Brightness or a Tone control.

@@austinfailz for a few yes,the tigershark was my baby,a few were based off customer comments on social media. I enjoy doing this line and it put the company on the map. The guy that help design the classic series after this is the reason I quit, he threatened some of my UA-cam channel pals and myself, Caline didn't act accordingly so I quit.
@@shaneperry4430 Sorry to hear that, Shane. The dual pedals are pretty interesting, though a few are kind of left field, which isn't exaclty bad, but sorta strange at first glance.
These pedals seem very cool for the price. A couple complaints though - Don't believe caline saying the volume issue on the nightwolf is unique to this particular unit. It's not. Every video you find about that pedal has the same problem. They are all like that and caline should own up to the problem and fix it. Second is the voice button. It makes the footswitches too close together. I can't really imagine a scenario where most people would want to change the order of their drives on the fly. A simple order toggle switch would have been a far better option IMO.
Great work again Shane. The ones I listened to all sounded good. I bought a Caling CP-70 a couple months ago and would be happy to add another of their pedals to my shelf. I think for mine the Key West or the Artemis could definitely get a solid work out. Just a pity they seem to be out of stock for now.
You should order a Demon FX King of Drive pedal. An obvious King of Tone clone, it's a phenomenal pedal. I paid about $63 USD for mine brand new. Funny thing is I also picked up the Demon Fx AT-DS, a JHS Andy Timmons Drive V2 clone. It's even better than the KOD in a lot of ways. They're very different pedals, but they both sound AMAZING! 👌 I've for a few other Demon Fx pedals, as well. I've also been digging the pedals from Mosky Audio. Picked up couple of clones of some Keeley pedals, the 4 knob compressor and the Mag Echo tape delay. And I've got about 5 other Mosky pedals. All quality pedals that sound great!
At my local guitar shop I pay $90 for a Nux clone so Caline selling me a peda with three footswitch and heaps of controls for $60 is just amazing. I can try them for peanuts and still have something worth 5 times that at the local guitar shop. Absolutely fabulous caline. Also my favourite companies _ Twinote Mosky Audio Donner Irin Irwin Cuvave Mvave And more. I buy every pedal under 50 just because one day they will be collected
I move had a few Calines and found them well build and sturdy. Great tones overall. Feel the Brigate graphics mislead the pedal tho. Agree, more for blues and lighter rock but with skull and bones you assume metal! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
I've been enjoying your channel a lot! I didn't see anything like that on your channel or maybe I just missed it. Keep up the good work! Really good and entertaining channel!
Got a question. I bought the patheon and should I run the pedal through my fx loop or thru the front of the amp? I have the same Dsl 40 amp. I bought one after watching you get your amp. I love it. It's a beast forsure.

Can you compare a Casino 6 ST guitar to the arist sth
Yo send me some of these pedals bro

Yep. They're great.
JHS Pedals love them too.
Dude, this is a VERY involved video 😂 thank you for taking all the time!

I've been thinking of buying this, seems like a very nice pedal for the money. Would go brilliantly with a decent reverb

Wow what a great sounding range of pedals, loved the easy driver, to be honest they all sound very cool.

One thing you can't fake is Shane's guitar face! :)
Excellent work as always, mate!
Great video. Nice to hear you playing some different styles. Very cool.
These are pretty great. If you played live side by side with something like a strymon sunset I doubt you would be able to tell which was which
They all sound good to my ears! On side note, I got the Caline Tiger eye distortion pedal, 35 bucks, on Amazon and yo it works so damn well for me I bought 2 more as spares! 🤘🏻
Cool pedals, nice demos. I would’ve liked one pairing a BB Preamp style (Orange Burst) with Timmy style (Pure Sky).

Beautiful!
If you can wrangle it, love to hear a demo of the Nocturne Brain El Pecadoro pedal.
(Chess Studios sounds)
I designed and named all these pedals, I left Caline in September 2021. I haven't been affiliated with them in any way since.
O amigo poderia descrever para nós qual distorções eles estão emulando?
Did you get to decide which pedals were paired together for the dual drive pedals?

Love my Devilfish, other combos are boring.why not flange and octave etc?

Ya the symbol should be a middle aged guy in a leather jacket lol a “blues lawyer with boomer bends”
Man these pedals sound great!
These are crazy, man.
Cool
(Merry Etc. from Detroit)
I love theCalines. I use their Americana for guitar and bass.
i have caline mariana, sounds nice, but eats tone, you need to have a boost just for it to keep the same volume when you turn it on
Excelente video, algún pedal calin similar al Vertex steel string mk2 ?
Great Video ! Was wondering if the Devilfish is an 100% analog circuit, is it ?
My Nightwolf pedal also has very little Fuzz output. I only really get sound out of it from 3 o'clock to max knob positions.
The tones sounded ok. How much white noise was there? Was it more noticeable than with costlier pedals?
They were fine noise-wise. Dead quiet for the ones in the FX loop.
@@intheblues Thanks Shane. That's good to know.
I wish the Key West would have used the Pure Sky instead of their Zen style OD. Woulda been perfect.

Muito bom vídeo, me ajudou muito a decidir pelo brigade, obrigado.🇧🇷
Hi, are the switches on the Caline pedals loud and clicky or are they more soft? Thanks!
Your nightwolf sounded like it needed to be biased.
Those are pretty dang good.
I lie that Stellar EQ Compressor and that Strat the best!
Gracias brah, you just saved me some $$$.
These look great.
EPIC vid to round out the year shane! \m/
Morning all!
How practical are they as actual foot pedals? The buttons look very close to me.
I thought the same thing. A very tight squeeze.
Get button caps for the 2 important switches
Key West sounded brill.
Got a question. I bought the patheon and should I run the pedal through my fx loop or thru the front of the amp? I have the same Dsl 40 amp. I bought one after watching you get your amp. I love it. It's a beast forsure.
Lol that Harley Benton got like 3 notes per appearance!
I've seen other channels have the same issue with the night wolf
Sweeeeet!👍🏿
Did that skull wink at me?
Very good $$$$
Very similar to the old Visual Sound dual pedals.
BRUTUS!
I’ll stick with Joyo’s 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Fun for 5 minutes but in the end you get what you pay for.if your going cheap go Donner or Mooer.
Caline pedals are great. They are way better than donner
Man I read Tim Henderson, though this guy knows, even read again, oh man is lee, 😅
Some sound all the same, some very dramatic differences, but then I am listening on my phone's speakers
Some have the same circuit on one side or the other but a different second channel :)
