Love this video. My brother and I grew up in Sydney Australia and we loved BMX. All our friends would go riding on the weekends from sun up to sun set. We had a good group of guys with lots of tricks and skill. Great days. Great Memories. ThankYou for this. 💯👍
TopDollar Mike Yes, that’d be RaD! Send me footage of you doing any of the tricks that are in the rad intro, and I’ll make another one 🤙🏼 I’ll start collecting footage from other riders - can be from all over the country/world. #massiveradtribute
We must be the same age and I rode and competed back then also with later being sponsered by MCS in West Palm riding with the Billy swoop family, malow, and Kevin before Billy and Kevin was picked up by gt through Martin. But with knowing all the flatland tricks of the video plus some in the 90s, I would love to do a tribute with you actually for fun. Video well done for sure.
Very nicely done. When i was a kid i saw a video that 101 tricks for bmx i think watch it until tape was wore out. I watch a trick like the Miami hooper then get on my hutch pro racer and patience the trick until i got it down then go to next one and so on. Then rad came out it all i wanted to do.
That’s awesome, I watched the 101 freestyle tricks video a million times too. I still have it in vhs… I swear I can still hear the music from it. It’s so cool how those videos and rad inspired so many people to ride and try tricks!
Thanks for this …I jumped back into freestyle when Covid hit here in nyc….I rode in 86,87 the rad yrs….lol Eddie fiola was god and Gt was my religion …rode a white 86 pro performer…..I’m trying to modivate myself to get back riding ..I’m 50 and need to drop 50 lbs..I’m currently 250lbs and need help with a program to get back into shape ,,,my goal relearn my tail whips and infinity rolls …thanks rant over lol..stay rad sir..
Thank you and you bet. Jump back into the fire... get those tail whips and infinity rolls back! Start eating better by having breakfast (instant oatmeal packet and 2 eggs)... eat some protein with each meal (20-40 grams or more for 4-6 meals/day)... workout every day... bodyweight squats and lunges; push-ups; sit-ups; jumping jacks; planks -superset- crunches; etc... Good luck Mike!
hi, my friend, we grew probably enjoying the same emotions, 1985-1992 lives on top of a bike fazenso the biggest madness in Brazil, and RAD was my inspiration, embrace.
i love rad too. i redid the intro to the movie on my channel. i did it 2 weeks ago. rad official fb page featured my vid. check it out of you love cru.

this is cool bro. i redid the intro too 2 weeks ago. the rad fb page featured it. then i got a friend request from eddie fiola. i was like RAD. so cool. hello from mt hood oregon. i am 44 years old and i am a old school flatlander too and was inspired by rad. check out my edit if you like.
Thanks man! I love the movie too...it's been a huge inspiration to me ever since I was 10yrs old. I just saw your tribute.. RAD man great job! Yeah, when I posted mine to Facebook, I got a friend request from Martin Aparijo. That was so cool for me. Maybe I'll submit mine to the rad fb page. I think it'd be cool if a lot of people made their own tributes like ours. Keep it up. I'm an old school flatlander - 41 years old. Hello from now Crown point , IN.
@@trainertroysmith ... I am Personal friends with Martin but have not seen him in a very long time. Bring up Billy Swoop & family and him getting in trouble with us by the plantation Florida police when he stayed down here with us. Martin was 23 I think and the there was a curfew for the local teens. Billy's mom had to rescue us and police did not believe Martin since he did not have his id on him when we were out riding training for a afa. Martin will be shocked you know about that lolol.
@@trainertroysmith ... It should be funny! This was shortly after Martin had Billy & Kevin Sponsorsed with GT I do recall which they left our team on MCS at Gary's bike shop when Martin, Josh white and Brian Scura was on tour in North Miami Beach Florida . That is how the MCS team was destroyed as Marlow and I were unable to tow the ramps around being older teens without a truck or anything. Marlow and I were not at Garys that day to of been offered any spots also. Regardless we still supported one another practicing and in competition. I do feel that this is why MCS Stylers seem to be one of the most expensive old school bikes today as after the MCS team was seperated (West Palm Beach Florida), MCS stopped making freestyle bikes. Kinda the same when Donnie Cook left profile in Florida where he went to sponsership for Sea World in California. The Profile freestyle team from St. Petersburg Florida was also destroyed and freestyle bikes stopped in production. But get ready for a good laugh for sure lol.
I was inspired by RAD as well, and did these tricks and broke out all of my bottom teeth. Never forget the good times!

Man the 80's were good! This is what we did. Built my first custom bmx bike at 10 years old MCS Spider!
That is awesome...Ohio State QB, Heisman Trophy winner, NFL QB, and all the while, keeping his flatland skills under wraps. Crazy awesome.
