OTS tunes often don't address throttle response, but on the other hand, there are custom tuners who will completely neglect throttle response, because they just try to make a big hp/quarter mile number. A good tuner will make sure to work on throttle response.

Either or is fine I just heard that RK Tunes is everyone’s last option. When I tune my car Im going F80 Paul. Everyone in my area is tuned by Paul so I’ll be able to get more help as well.

I have worked with TwistedTuning, PureBoost and TruePower on a custom tune. Communication from all of them has been very sparse when it comes to what they are revising. I am at +100 revisions now divided across those tuners and still not done yet....... That is the PWG game (and spending 47 revisions with a tuner that didn't know what he was doing).
I have never understood children with weak attention spans. Or why they want short videos?
I prefer the long content that educates people thoroughly versus half assed videos.
Don’t cater to the snowflakes, give us the information you wanna provide, if somebody can’t digest it the hell with them. I found this very informative since I have an M235 I and I was looking at Paul Johnson.

Currently watching this as I am comparing runners. Currently runing F80Paul custom tune but interesting to try Johnson.
As far as the turnaround time on revisions from Paul, I was told by someone that Paul has a team of tuners and he oversees the final revision to make sure everything is good.
I got the tuned by cary jordan.. and I also got tuned by ABperformance . However Cary Jordan was angry just because he didnt want other tuners look at his log. Mine was done with 2 revision with Cary. Basically not much communication. Also he was threatening me his not gonna support me anymore if im not stop working with new tuner. Lol. I told him he doesn't need to support me.. Anyways. Currently running full E85 and 93octane stage 2 map with F82. I RECOMMEND ABperformance. Tuner name is Atvo.

I went the DINAN route (ECU and DCT) a year ago just to get more hp and torque out my E92 M3. But now I’m ready to really dial it in with other track oriented mods. This video made it all make sense! Hey if you do flash with bootmod3 from the iPhone I would just have the laptop near by just incase because it’s still in beta mode and I had a transmission malfunction every time I flashed with the phone about 2 weeks about I had to drive home doing like 15 mph

You should do a dyno run for a full comparison same day. End all the questions. Since the flash is so quick to change maps. Please do a OTS PJT and CJ tunes back to back.
Cars take time to adjust to completely different tunes. Tuning back to back wouldn’t allow the second tune enough time to properly adjust to the car. At least for extremely accurate numbers.
The white looks absolutely gorgeous, in fact even better than the blue with those carbon bits. Don't get me wrong the blue looks the best stock but that high contrast with the carbon just does it for me!
We need more videos like this, car community has so much information online but I often find a lot of it is regurgitated rumors and here say, not first hand unbiased opinion. I would definitely agree that I wish the tuning process was a little more interactive, it felt rushed and while I’m happy for the most part I think tuners need to explain process and results to control expectations. I would be curious to see you do an in person dyno tuning session to compare that experience and the performance effects, of any of street tuning vs dyno tuning. Keep up the good work, killing it.

bootmod emails you when a response/update is recieved from the tuner. it must be your settings.

I agree with everything you said about Jordan tuned, I have been tuned with for about 2 years now and I will say early on he was much faster with response times and he did a better job of explaining what changes were being done and now I think hes gotten so big that the tunes lost the personal touch. That being said Im very happy with my tune but I just learned to expect longer wait times for any comments or updates. Great video, thanks for taking the time to do this.

I’m thinking about going with custom tune with Paul. I currently have stage 2 91 plus Thor installed and I’m already happy. So damn I can’t wait to try the custom tune, I know you said you Have to turn off traction control but can you put throttle response in sport plus would that effect the log?

Perfect video. Youre the only one I've came across thats done a step by step throughout the whole process of using bm3. I literally was about to start trying to search for videos on youtube on how to go about this process from a beginners perspective and then you put out this video. One thing I am confused on, once you pay for the bm3 license and then the tuning package from f80paul, youre not getting charged everytime you do a different tune with him or you are?
You are not. When you purchase the tune, you revise with the tuner until the appropriate map is obtained
