Diplomat pens have now become one of my favorite brands of pens. I have the magnum, exellence A2, travelers, elox and aero. The nibs are freaking awesome. The broad nibs even have such a bouncy feel. I have big hand and the aero feels fine. I don't post the aero much since I don't want to mess with the finish so much, but i do with the elox since its a better poster. They do run a little thicket in medium nibs, but they are wet enough for me to sue KWZ sheen machine ink on them.

lets analyse the lies which are world wide believed:
lie: schools are of use (fact. schools keep slavery alive and stands for dumbing down the population of mankind)
lie: moon and mars landings, (fact: even masons know they cannot leave - earth is closed system, unless you want to drown, there is no other place created for us to live in.)
lie: news channels share truth (fact: these are for politic propaganda)
lie: voting matters (fact: politic propaganda)
lie: money has a value of its own (fact: it is just a tool of this world, which value has been agreed upon world wide, it should be not loved, only used as needed.)
lie: NASA lies (globe and all....) (fact: NASA stands for TO DECEIVE and 2 members expose their own lies, one is still alive, the other (Wernher Von Braun) place a clear clue on his own gravestone) - you havn´t searched - have you?
lie: the lgbtq++++ propaganda (fact: it is a part of masonry depopulation agenda, 500 000 000 souls, thats their goal - Georgia Guidestones!)
lie: Evolution and the dinosaurs. (fact: mankind is not hybrid kind)
to keep stating that there was an evolution, then we ain´t humans, we aint then mankind, we are then hybrids. Are you a hybrid?
Lie: holidays (xmas, Halloween, new year eve and so on) (fact: PAGAN HOLIDAYS, to praise BAAL, the god of this world)
lie: U.F.Os (fact: they are demons/evil spirits in high places, against whom we fight daily = spiritual warfare)
lie: rules and laws rule the world (fact: signs and symbols of masonry do)
lie: believe in being educated (fact: found daily living with the lack of knowledge)
lie: religions are ways to heaven (fact: JESUS CHRIST is only way to heaven. Religions, no matter its name = masonic garbage)
lie: our dead loved ones stay around to “ghost” (fact: hunting and ghosting is job of demons, not of humans. We, humans, come from GOD and return back to HIM and all the stories of having been seen a ghost - terrifying, scary, dark, cold - again no job of analysing been done here by you- right?)
Lie: Humans have no immune system and we need vaccines as these save lives (fact: humans HAVE IMMUNE SYSTEM and vaccines are created for one or two purpose: to kill or to cripple. If you took all their poison shots then later in life comes all kinds of medical diagnoses = vaccines crippled you - remember that)
lie: there is no GOD (fact: There is GOD, who redeems sinners and created us directly from the dust of the earth: Psalms 139:14 (KJV)
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.)
to keep claiming that there is no GOD and we aint created directly from the dust of the earth, we soon run out logic, regardless to we place “evolution” in our claims or not and our dead, whats happening to them as they sleep in their graves? - they decay away, becoming the dust form which they were taken, if it ain`t so then we are simply reality deniers.
lie: 911 was terror attack (fact: 911 was an inside job, meaning the work of your loved government)
lie: Tv watching is of use (fact: television (TV) = tell a lie vision, a weapon for our minds, keeping it under MK ULTRA)
half lie/half truth: earth is a stage where everyone plays rolls (fact: earth is stage, a freemasonry checkerboard, where both side, black and white are masons and humans both in politics and regular souls = the naive public gets daily played)
lie: children are government to raise (fact: children are parents to raise, it takes 2 to make them, it takes 2 to raise them).
Lie: we live already in the matrix (fact: we live since birth in BABYLON which is to become “matrix” as Man - us, must merge with machine aka take the mark of the beast and then matrix aka false reality becomes to be 100%)
lie: humans are not intelligent enough (fact: it is forgotten fact, we all are intelligent, many have suffered the illness from this world, being indoctrinated by masons, cause who give us the school system which we have? masons did, because they need slaves.
Lie: love is low standers and = lust (fact love is high standard as love means>
      John 15:13
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Lie> do what thy wilt there is no body who has the right to judge you (fact> GOD SHALL JUDGE YOU AFTER YOU HAVE DEPARTED ON EARTH and Christians are also called to give out righteous judgment, therefore repent * born again * go and sin no more)
23 lies, should i go on?
This world ain´t deceived, out there to deceive?
      masons quotes, which to know:
“To live in the world without becoming aware of the meaning of the world is like wandering about in a great library without touching the books.” ― Manly P. Hall, The Secret Teachings of All Ages
“Man's status in the natural world is determined, therefore, by the quality of his thinking.” ― Manly P. Hall, The Secret Teachings of All Ages
“We can only escape from the world by outgrowing the world. Death may take man out of the world but only wisdom can take the world out of the man. As long as the human being is obsessed by worldliness, he will suffer from the Karmic consequences of false allegiances. When however, worldliness is transmuted into Spiritual Integrity he is free, even though he still dwells physically among worldly things.” ― Manly P. Hall
“When the human race learns to read the language of symbolism, a great veil will fall from the eyes of men. They shall then know truth and, more than that, they shall realize that from the beginning truth has been in the world unrecognized, save by a small but gradually increasing number appointed by the Lords of the Dawn as ministers to the needs of human creatures struggling to regain their consciousness of divinity.” ― Manly P. Hall, Melchizedek and the Mystery of Fire
Many succumb to their fleshly desires /lust = fornication) which is kept "alive" through the illusion of the eyes of man = males and females, which are never satisfied. Quite a long time all real is bushed out and fake is allowed more in. Mankind is allowed fake beauty in their lives. Lust and fornications = love to many, which keep many in the abundance of abuse others and get abused.
We are deceived daily mostly because we simply allow it to be so. Free will we all have, which give us daily an opportunity/chance to start seeking truth and to put an end of being deceived. Easiest way to seek truth is questioning and analyzing =thinking skill, which many say they have, but few practice. It is easy to be lazy and count always on somebody else, who would do all of it for us. And many do so: many stay as endless learners, who never reach knowledge.
2 Timothy 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Many seek uni. professors whom lessons to go and hear, not listen, only hear, as if they`d be listen also, then they shall come to the knowledge of truth as they shall put together lies shared through school systems.
And unless all these needed channels (like Angel Price and some more, which are seen in my playlists) through whom the darkness and evil is exposed shall be seen more and more souls, not to laugh and mock their hard job, but truly analysed through and accepted as finally souls met the truth about the world in which they live in , the same souls won´t step out being deceived.

It is not easy task to GO AND SIN NO MORE as it takes strong fight against each souls flesh and its unholy desires, but it is worthy.
Backslidings should not happen, but since these sadly do, lets know it that:
Hosea 11:7 And my people are bent to backsliding from me: though they called them to the most High, none at all would exalt him.
Hosea 14:4 I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him.
Jeremiah 49:4 Wherefore gloriest thou in the valleys, thy flowing valley, O backsliding daughter? that trusted in her treasures, saying, Who shall come unto me?
Jeremiah 3:22 Return, ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings. Behold, we come unto thee; for thou art the LORD our God.

Definitely try a wetter ink in the Aero to see if you get a wider line width before swapping to an M nib. I have the striped one in a fine, and mine definitely writes like a Western fine. I tend to use wet inks in it. IME sometimes the ink can affect the line width. Mine does have an average flow, but I know you know how to adjust your pens for that. I would try to disentangle it from your sadness over the one who got away. It’s not the poor Aero’s fault. Haha.

I've had that happen a few times, with different results. The worst was with a specific Sheaffer Autograph, that I just felt was way too out of my price range. But I still think about it all the time, and wish that I'd bought it. I also had it happen with the TWSBI 580 in Prussian Blue. I'd been on the fence about it for a long time, but I liked the Navy much better when that came out. Goulet Pens had a Prussian Blue one on their bottom shelf sale, and I bought that instead of the Navy because it was cheaper. But I never liked it as much, and always wished I'd bought the navy one instead. A few months later, the Cerulean Blue Eco came out and a friend traded me one for the prussian blue 580, since they like the 580's better, and prefer the Ecos. Eventually, I did also pick up the 580 in navy, too, so that one had a happy ending. I also never bought the purple 580 when it came out because I thought the color was a little too light for me. I always regretted that, too, but I was just recently able to pick one up at a pen show for a great price. But that Sheaffer...so very much so the one that got away.

If you are patient, you will find that pen when you are least expecting to find it. I genuinely believe that. I have an Orange Aero with a medium nib that was my first pen over $100. At the time it completely opened my eyes on what a quality nib could write/feel like, it wasn't a gusher, but it was on the wetter side, and boy was it smooth. Even now years later, it remains one of the top two steel nibs in my collection.
Sorry you haven't been able to be as happy with yours, if you ever get the chance to pick up a medium nib, I can't recommend it enough. (I believe that JetPens used to sell replacement nibs that even came with another section.)

I have found myself just somehow less enthusiastic about a pen, often because it’s one too many of something that just was so pretty, I couldn’t resist getting it in another nib size. While I enjoy switching among various nibs. The feeling I should have saved my money creeps in, especially when I usually have a few pens that write the same. Perhaps, ironically, this has happened due to having way too many Aeros.
What I did is start by treating them much the same as photos I should organize but rarely even look at because life and general laziness get in the way. Only instead of putting them in a box I only tend to look at when I have to move and find OF COURSE I can’t throw out these memories; I clean and store them properly to wait for that day when I don’t know what I feel like inking. That’s usually enough time for me to get over the disappointment give that pen a true chance.
Otherwise, the day will come when I will want a second go at something which I was prompted to get when after all it was just so pretty and wrote well for me.
Often as not I will rehome it. But, yes sometimes I fall in love having realized, for example it’s the one with the double broad that I just don’t use.

So he tried it with Private Reserve Infinity ink, which resists drying when left uncapped - and said it was the perfect workaround. My ex-wife recently gave this pen to me for Christmas. It is an unbelievably generous and thoughtful gift, and I'm looking forward to inking it up.

I bought myself a Monteverde Invincia Abalone for my birthday last year and regretted it bitterly. It's a beautiful pen, but it skips. I tried several inks in it, and it didn't get better, got a replacement nib for it and that didn't fix it.
So I cleaned it up and packed it back in its original box and buried it in a drawer for a year.

I know they are probably different animals, but anyway, which one gives you the more pleasurable writing feel between you and the paper? It's so hard to take a decision x)...

Interesting question, and, curiously, it involves a Diplomat, in this case, the Esteem. I simply had to have a fine nib, and was going to use Goulet Pens (love them), being new to the collecting hobby, and suspicious of my ability to recognize on line scoundrels. I wanted the piano black gloss finish, but settled for lapis blue matte, since that was in stock. I haven't done anything about this, since it is a lovely, satisfying writer, and I did order lapis blue. But, sigh.

I love the esteem.....I have 3....2 fine nibs, and one medium.....but The nibs are # 5....and are friction fit.....so I traded out the medium nib for an EF jin hao nib....and they all write great!!!!

Thanks for your thoughts on the aero. Interesting that it is finer than you'd thought it would be as german pens tend to run a bit broad- one of the reasons I like german pens.
When I want to use a medium I usually reach for one of my japanese broads.
I also prefer a pen that will reliably feed toothpaste.

Yes, this has happened to me. Typically, it's when I buy a pen I like a little less to save some money, and then realize that I should have spent a little more ( or saved and waited) and gotten the pen that I really longed for. What did I do? Suck it up and remind myself that it's just an object. Or, go back and buy the longed-for pen later, sometimes second hand. (I hated my Aero and sold it. Most uncomfortable pen I've ever used. I now have two Diplomat Excellence A2s and like them a lot better. Same nib, more comfortable body )

I have made at least one mistake on majority of my pen purchases definitely on my top three most used pens. Culminating to my most recent purchase, I bought a Visconti Homosapien after test riding with it, and finding out the pen was terrible. I still bought it because I thought I could fix it and guess what now it’s even worse than when I started.

Interesting! I the exact opposite purchasing experience with this. I was going to settle for a slightly cheaper pen, but I really, really had my heart set on the Aero (Black Stripes, which makes my jaw drop) and didn't want to wait around for a sale. I really love it for all the reasons you stated. My M nib is nice and juicy. Granted, I probably wouldn't think to put Edelstein in this so maybe would feel drier to me as well.

I thought about the fox glove(orange one of that) but had an even lower budget. Could not justify that much money on stainless nibs. Current pen I regret leting get away is the vaccum fill Raven EsterBrook. I now have the budget to blow on high priced steel nibs for a supperior body and fill system. I also don't write in black and that would give me a reason to pair with. litterally gifted my only bottle of black ink to get someone else into the fountain pen hobby. Now they don't even write with it. I will probably spend years trying to aquire the Raven I want in Medium vaccum.

Esterbrooke Phaeton 300 R. It turns out to be hot trash, as it has the same smell issue as Noodler's fountain pens. Accidently sprayed cologne to remove the smell, which melted it. Cologne contained high alcohol content.

Pineider Pens, they are the worst! I have an Aero and an Elox and I love them both. My only complaint is they tend to dry out (that's more of the ink selection though). I love me some good German engineering.
Buyer's remorse doesn't always equate to regret and you're describing the former.

I bought a Jinhao x159 last year and it didn’t write so I sent it back the next day. I didn’t know how to tune a nib back then. Today I ordered another Jinhao x159 but with a medium nib so I’m giving this pen a second chance. I really want to buy a Sailor King of Pen later this year but I’m hoping this feeling passes.

I bought the EF nib for this pen and it wrote like a medium. Not even close to Japanese EF. Tried Pelikan ink, but it didn’t help. I ended up sending it to a nib smith to get it to write like Pilot EF.

Shazam same pen but in the Rose Pink. I have a Diplomat Excellence A from very early collecting and it was my very favourite pen for quite some time. The Aero had been on my list also for well over 12months. But when I bought the Antique Rose for sale directly in Australia , I found it "meh". And your absolutely right there is nothing wrong with this pen it's perfect. I do find I fiddle for the first 15mins to find my grip. I've never had to do before with the exception of my Lamy 2000 Stainless (being heavier) but I'm just not feeling the love...the very same pen as yours. What is it with the Aero and me? But would I sell it? I dont think so...I'll find that love dammit!

I have many Aeros but my fave one is the 'factory' one.. I also have the orange one with a csi M nib and it is just a fantastic writer. I have not used them for a while now, because I am more comfortable writing with girthier pens lately. I'm sure it will pass and the time for slimmer pens will come :)
As for pen regrets! I have had many of them over the years as well. A few of them were disapointments really. The pens just did not live up to my expectations or were really bad writers etc. But yours is not exactly regret now is it.. you just wanted that other pen more at this point in time, but made a 'budget' choice instead. Even if you had the Aero on your buy list, it wasn't the top choice this time. I would put that pen in my case and wait for a while if I were you. Just forget about it for a bit. Then take it out again and see how you like it. İf you decide you're not happy with it, you'll have given it a fair chance and you'll know for sure that you don't want it in your collection. Personally, I literally had pens that I ended up loving after some time passed and the 'the one that got away fire' faded.. you never know

I have one Aero, and the ink evaporates super fast. I had mine inked up for a few weeks, and it was unusable (the ink was so concentrated it never dried), which is not my experience with any other pen. I'm not sure if this is typical for Aeros or if there's something off with mine.

There's a film, "Carnal Knowledge", in which one character, portrayed by Jack Nicholson, has an incurable erotic attraction for a woman whose image haunts him. Over time he becomes a worse, more isolated and misogynistic rich guy, never satisfied with anything. This resembles your obsession with the pen that you did not buy. If you really can't live with the "perfect" Diplomat, return it or sell it or give it to me (best suggestion of all time!), enjoy the pens you have, and get a better job. Not suggesting you just get over it, but that you pull up your pants and walk on. You can do this, right?
