- This is NOT a video showing how to convert your 99-02 truck to run electric fans. I just wanted to share a video of some changes I needed to make to my truck to have it running better here in HOT Texas. Here is a GREAT full install video: • Rebuilding a Silverado...
I did use this harness: www.pcmofnc.co...
Also these E-Fans: www.pcmofnc.co...

Man, it must be hot as hell in that garage!!
Good video! I ran into the same issue with the electric fans blowing/pulling. I used a 05 Silverado 2500 6.0 Radiator/Fan assembly that I bought off Rockauto. I found out later that its a known issue where the fans themselves are wired backwards. I'd be willing to bet your fans are from the same original manufacturer. Either way, you fixed it same way I did, so it's essentially a non-issue. Just something to point out for anyone trying to the same thing.
You’re absolutely right, not a real issue just slightly annoying for a split second.
bro you’re like my long lost brother lol… I’m in the Army and I have an 18’ 1LE & a 00’ RCSB Silverado the same color as yours 😂
Oh wow that’s dope man. Small world
Can you cover the alternator, is it upgraded, how many amps are you drawing?
Can you help me put mine on?
I already have my harness and fans.
Ahhh I could help
Great video! Also are you still doing the hotshot business?
Not anymore; had to let that go.
Do you remember the measurements of the drive shaft to run the 4l80e? No one has made a video on it.
Unfortunately not at all. I just gave the driveshaft shop the numbers they asked for and left it up to them to figure out the rest
Stan I have an 02 doing a 4.3 with a blue red computer to an 5.3 swap from a ssr with a green/blue pcm.
Did you have a green blue? I thought I saw that?!
I have to swap my green to red blue right?
Blue/red is drive by cable, usually 99-02. Blue/green is drive by wire 03-06. You can make either one work, and they each have their own pros/cons.
My truck started life as a 2000 4.3/4l60 and now has a 6.0/4l80. I used the blue/red PCM. In my opinion the drive by cable is easier for a swap.
@@BDFabrizio gotcha! Yeah I ordered the harness and throttlebofy for it!
I just wish it was easy to do the green swap! Everything’s on it already!
Kind of excited!! Lol
Just go to any junkyard and get ecu from a dbc tb truck.. Ecu p# last 3 or 4 digits you are looking for are 896 or 0411.. But are red & blue. 0411 is just newer version/part#
Any issues with ac system
man i want to do the efan on my truck but its a v6, i plan to 6.0 swap it as well but in houston heat and traffic i feel like need the fans. would be it be the same for v6?
Just guessing I would say yes or atleast similar.
Whts the exhaust you have
Longtube headers and carven TR mufflers; true duals
Any update ?
On the fans? They work great now. The truck? Need to fix a few more things so it’s just sitting for now
