I was just thinking just before you tried to land the fish without a net. Figured it would save you a bunch of time. Now I understand why you use the net! Had a good laugh with you getting so upset with yourself. I will never second-guess The Old Fisherman again. BTW. I am wearing my new "old fisherman" t-shirt. Love it. Thanks, bud.
Jeff carpenter from Arkansas I was watching your video from 9 months ago you were talking about your remote for your trolling motor the left and right buttons on the bottom take some green paints tape and cut two small squares put the squares on your bottom left and right buttons then take some super glue put a very small drop of superglue on the tape small anough drop it will we’re when your fingers go across the buttons you will feel a bump that should do it Keep jerking some lips that is catching crappie
Awesome crappies! Love the new boat and camera set up too. Can you tell me what size line/leader you’re using? Thanks sir and keep up the great content 👍🏻✌🏻
Nice job hunting down and catching those slabs! Your video presentation is tops! I’m guessing you record your audio separately and insert during editing? Also what are the cords hanging from the cameras for are they for batteries? I’d like to learn to create videos one day soon myself. Thanks for sharing your adventures. The wife said “where’s he from Louisiana?” Ha!
The audio come from mt chest camera live. Tell your wife I'm from Chapin, South Carolina. The wires are going to remote batteries. The batteries in the camera only last about 15 minutes. Thanks for watching The Old Fisherman loving life videos.
Nice catch, that livescope is nice, can't c the screen though, not sure if it's glare or color u r using, maybe u can do a camera on livescope 1 episode, hopefully I can put some slabs n boat soon
Fun time sniping the big ones. I noticed same thing, some areas they're biting, other areas they're not. I've been casting either jigs or using a beetlespin to give more appearance. Same here on color, blue, blue/black, dark green/chartreuse, etc.
Hey Old Fisherman, good day to you. How come with the size of Lake Murray I can’t find a Bait center nearby? One bait shop across from the Dam & it was closed.
Hey Steve waS wondering does your new minkota trolling motor have capability of having transducer installed internally so u can have split screen on Garmin, livescope/traditional or clear view?
I have tried them and fished with a jig for years that looked just like it, but it's all about believing in what you are using. I will have to try them again to have confidence in them. Every lake is different.
If you need a damn sidescan to catch a fish you should be on the front page of a crappy magazine . I bet the only way you would deer hunt is if you have a deer feeder .
My recently deceased uncle had a great saying; if the fish are biting catch a limit, that makes up for all the days when you get skunked. Which usually outnumber the days of limits.
Good video! Except "mother lode" is misspelled. And presented as one word instead of two. I know it seems like a fly speck, but a titular misspelling casts doubt on all your information.

Hey my friend just watched your video. You caught some slabs after you found them! Are you getting use to your new boat?
Yes, love the Vexus.
@@theoldfisherman2040 Good deal!
Do you ever use crappie magnet plastics? Also I would love to see you and the fishing machine back in the boat together.
I have, at one time the challenger was my favorite jig to use, it looked just like it.
What's up buddy been a long time
Yes it has.
15:17 BIGGON😂😂😂😂

Hey Mr. Steve,
Did you take the vexus to Murray yet? Can't wait for more Murray videos!
Yes but not much luck yet.
Hey Old Fisherman, good day to you. How come with the size of Lake Murray I can’t find a Bait center nearby? One bait shop across from the Dam & it was closed.
I get my bait from The Station on Dreaher Island Rd. There are lots of stores that sale worms and you can get minnows at the hardware in Ballentine.
Hey Steve waS wondering does your new minkota trolling motor have capability of having transducer installed internally so u can have split screen on Garmin, livescope/traditional or clear view?
Not sure.
Great Video, did you ever hear anything on your old boat?
Not yet!
Try crappie magnets, everyone on Guntersville stopped using Bobby garlands cause they tare up so easily anymore..
I have tried them and fished with a jig for years that looked just like it, but it's all about believing in what you are using. I will have to try them again to have confidence in them. Every lake is different.
@The Old Fisherman ur definitely right about that, Guntersville is so big it changes everyday what they want..
The big ones are pulling up to stage for spawning.
That's correct.
I think you don"t like fish but you like to fish everyone to his own
I do like eating fish and you right I love to fish.
is crappie rowe good to eat?
Yes
Just curious. Why dont you like to use the spot lock?
It knots up live scope cable and it does not hold precise enough for me.

What size screen are you using on your live ??
10 inch
Mr., you have a $5000 sidescan . Does your crappy magazine have articles about that.
Oh and i downtooted your old as.

I have close to 1000 videos, only a few with live scope my friend.
Hang in there Jimmy, you'll catch one if you keep trying.
What day is this?
It's in the description.
Hold it upside down and the buttons will be on the top
I have tried that.
Bobby Garland baits 1 bite and its destroyed.
You are right about that.
U must eat a lot of fish next video should be a catch clean and a cook
