Thank you! I love GT bikes and the 90s for GT bikes was at its best where you could buy the apparel and the colorways were just top notch. Ball burnished will always have a special place in my heart.

I love this bike too! And since you are a GT RTS owner yourself, you'll be quite impressed how this bike is like a super improved version of the old RTS. It's an amazing bike that I'll get a 2nd copy built up this year.
Hi, love this build, I am working on a resto mod on my RTS 4. Would you be able to tell me where you got the water bottle cage spacer? Thanks
Thank you. I got the bottle cage spacers (and long bolts) from salvaging off of a cracked RTS front triangle.
I will go as far to say, it is a nice period correct look but from my experience riding rough trails, it doesn't keep the water bottle any better that if you don't use them. In fact, I got frustrated that I just moved my water bottle cage to the other braze ons and that retains a small water bottle way better.

Hi Yuri, I have a GT RTS 2 that I brought new in 1996 but was told by the salesmen it was a leftover from 1995. Can you tell me what's the difference between a RTS 1, 2, OR 3?
Hi Chris, the RTS-1 bikes typically had the flat GT stamped top tube end cap, just like the team frames. Outside of that, it's all semantics and different parts specs.

@@christopher4100 By components, yes. So, from starting from top of the line, it is Team, -1, -2, -3. The tech shop frames don't count as they were simply just frames and not complete bikes.
@@yuri_on_youtube thank you 😊 I'm not sure if mine was top of the line. O paid around $1,500.00 for it when it was new. Like I stated before it was a leftover from 1995. I purchased the bike at this bike shops called Bike-N-Gear in Edison NJ but that bike shop isn't there anymore. The original price was around $1,700.00 but I got it for the price I stated above. It still was pretty pricey for its time. I remember there were LTS bikes there to but they were even more money 💰. Maybe I should of went for the LTS because later in time they turned out to be a better bike then the RTS from what I've read. I would like to send you a picture of my bike but I don't think I can send it on UA-cam. I have the original owner manuals including the rock shock manual, and even a brochure from 1996 with all the mountain bikes GT put out that year.

RTS-1 Best mtb ever built.

You can. It's an 18" frame, so I believe it won't be ridiculously tiny for you but it will be somewhat small.
