Hey Y’all, as an airline pilot for a major carrier, I find myself watching these videos to see what my week will entail. We have great resources for the immediate future but the information presented here helps in the knowledge base of what is down the road. Thanks man for the great information!!!

Wow, that's great.
You're better on a national level, than most local weatherman doing local predictions 😂
Your comment literally makes no sense but okay...
I love it. Weatherman on traditional media is so irrelevant. I prefer to get my forecasts and news on UA-cam
Because local weather had a narrative to follow, and expected emotion and urgency. With plenty of room for them to say "idk i dont control the weather"
I don’t even look at my app or watch the weather on the TV, it’s no where near as accurate as these UA-camrs 😂
It’s a lot easier to predict national weather than local. There’s a lot less room for error. It’s easier to predict that a huge storm will hit an entire country than it is to predict a small area getting hit by a storm
It’s never spring in the South until you have 20 inches of rain over several weeks, all the flowers are in full bloom, the pollen count is over 2000, even with the rain, and we have a cold snap that freezes and kills all the flowers. THEN, it’s spring.
We live near Raleigh, NC, and we actually had to mow the grass this week! And the yellow pollen has been out and sticking to our cars and stuff for a couple of weeks now! We don’t usually see the yellow pollen until April. It’s gonna be a weird year. We didn’t get any snow accumulation here for the winter, and the cold weather we got wasn’t cold for long. 😅
same lol, moved here recently and was expecting colder weather compared to where I was from. I was surprised to say the least. its been pretty warm
Fayetteville nc here, pollen is ridiculous but yet now is 42 degrees
Also near Raleigh. It's been an interesting ride this year.
Yep, I’m down in Clayton…was so warm earlier in the week. Great weather with trees budding out with flowers…now comes the drop off. I’m put of town today through the next couple of weeks. 😉. See what it’s like when I get back…
Dude, you're weather forecasts are better than anything the weather channel has EVER produced to inform the public. Why are you not being offered air time on cable tv? You're SOLID Ryan. Love watching your channel grow over the years.

I love that you cover all states and cities rather than the "trending" places. Thank you for being the best meteorologist!
You were right on for Northern ill-a-noise....Big thumbs up !
Thank you Ryan . Your channel helps me inform my disabled sister about upcoming weather trends well in advance so she's mentally prepared and not caught off guard. It helps me estimate when she might need pet food and supplies shipped to her door in advance of hardcore weather. It has even helped her select time slots on some medical appointments that work in her favor.
North Louisiana here--the wicked "orange-red" huge wasps have been out for about a week now. I almost cried to see them so early, but it has been very warm-what I grew up hearing called a false spring. I hope this cold snap kills all the hateful wasps but not the fuzzy, sweet honey bees.
I hate them. It would be so nice to not have them around.
I have lived in North Alabama for 50 years, it always happens that when we have a very warm winter we always have a very big cold blast right at the end of March/ first of April.
Happens almost every year. The orchards always suffer and loose part of their crops. We won't be done with the cold, and possibly snow, until late April/early May.
@@HeyHeyAlabama Even after cold winters our springs are crappy.
@@dvferyance They are. We don't have much of one at all.
As an Atlanta native, I agree.... it's why Spring is so short-lived in the southeast.
Yup happens every year here too, gets warmer in the summer then cools off in the fall and gets cold and snows in the winter, then it gradually starts to warm up this time of year... unreal I know but I am telling you the truth.
Can we all agree that this weather is horrendous
More like manufactured

Gotta appreciate how reassuring this guy can make you feel amidst the collapsing of our climate. I want him on my team during the zombie apocalypse.
This is why I was concerned about our warm February in the Mid-Atlantic. I knew we wouldn't be let off that easy from the winter chill. Always a price. 2018 is my example of February 80s, the first day of spring snowstorm, and one of the contest Aprils on record.
Your timing is IMPECCABLE! I was JUST coming to your page for info on this literally 20 seconds ago. Thank you, man!
I live in NE Ohio. We have buds on the trees and flowers coming up. It's completely unusual for this time of year. The only winter that we've had so far this season was that cold snap for a few days around Christmas. ....I do remember one winter whereas the worst snow storm we had that winter here was on April 5th, of 1987. There was another winter that was way before my time, but my folks and grand folks talked about it. The Easter blizzard of 1950. (My mom's family moved in across the street from my dad's family during it.) 😉
Had a good storm yesterday, and lots of rain. Once, there was a REALLY bright flash, lit up the office. 6 seconds later, the house was shaken by a series of rumble booms. Almost like a localized earthquake. Birmingham, AL area.
I can listen to him all day even if it has nothing to do with the weather. I just love his voice❤!

The National Weather Service does the same thing, Ryan Hall just regurgitates it and you give him all the credit.
I just noticed that the blackberries here in Northeast Georgia are blooming - have you heard of "blackberry winter"? That's what Mama used to call this one-last cold snap before spring finally gets going for good. Thanks for keeping us so well informed! I appreciate the detailed explanations for all the weather lingo & charts!
My sinuses thank you for keeping us informed. They are sick of the bipolar weather.
AMEN!! 🤧✌🏻
Same here in North Carolina 85f back in February! I for one am glad we are finally getting a cold spell and wet :) Makes me feel good to have some kind of winter.
I've actually noticed this same pattern where February is hotter than March for the last 6 years. Everyone has non boring their lawns here in East Tennessee. I still have the hay around the base of my fig trees and haven't mowed yet. I'm hoping this was the smart thing to do. I know after being here for four years how there is always one big hoorah before the real spring comes. My peach tree that is in full bloom is not going to be happy as well as all of my double knockout rose bushes. 🤦
I'm in Bellingham Washington. No more than 30 mins after watching this video the entire city heard and, literally felt, a singe huge thunderclap. My friend from clear across town had the same experience (we're 5.5 miles apart). Now It's just overcast. I can only imagine how things are gonna go from here.
Thanks, Ryan. Always informative. Always encouraging us to be prepared. Always the best ever!
Flooding does more damage than aiding a drought in CA. They can only store so much of that rain. The heavy snowfall is great, only IF it does not melt off too quickly. If it melts quickly, again, it will cause flooding, spilling over the storage areas, rock and mudslides.
IKR, when I heard that the rain might fix the drought, my first thought was to audibly say "You don't fix someone of dehydration by waterboarding them." I know he meant no offense but just one of those thoughts that came in the spur of the moment.
Yeah consistent slow rain is what the ground needs
Weeeellllll you could if Jerry Brown hadn't traded the water infrastructure money for a 150B bullet train to nowhere. As it stands now, you're correct CA is flooded and screwed.
A series of properly sized swales will catch and soak that water. There’s a series called “India’s Water Revolution” on YT. They fixed their drought in a matter of a year… Greening the desert is another great project. There’s also a Ted talk that a guy from Arizona on a small property had a positive effect. It’s just an excuse (can’t soak all that rain) to keep on, keeping on…
Your comment is the dumbest comment I have ever found in a weather community, you should know better. Nothing in California is as devastating as water shortage, if you think about it. The people who are at risks of floods are idiots who chose to live in floodplains, near riverbeds and low lying areas. I do agree that it is a shame snow melts faster these days. However, the reason most people who build their houses near flood hazards have already experienced floods in the past making them oblivious to the threat. Without the water we need from floods, cities in California would barely be able to support over 100,000.
Looks like much of the places that were in need of water will get it. Like CA.,AZ. NV., and UT. and the Mississippi river system, which is a needed blessing !
Your predictions are better than my local weather man. I always stop what I’m doing to watch a new upload from you. Some trees in southern Indiana have blossoms on them already, crazy.
His weather reports are better then what my phone gives
My dad used to call the storms like that frog stranglers. Cats and dogs is easier to see through, gully washers are the ones that start slow and you think it will be a nice decent rain, and then the drops grow and the cloud bursts and you see the rivers and creeks rise in minutes. In California when I was a kid I remember whole shelfs fall into the canyons and we had tremors all the time. Was in San Diego in the mesa district.
Dude, you are making our local weather forecasters look like chumps and thank you for that! Told my brother in North Carolina on Monday evening that we will probably have some snow hitting us on Thursday or Friday here in southeastern Wisconsin. BOOM! Nothing about any snow from our local forecaster until Tuesday evening. My brother was like, "What's the name of that weather guy on UA-cam again?" 😂
It’s true they all know he’s passing them up they force them tv weathermen out on the road during a storm now lol 😂

I'm in the Sacramento Valley and I'm a bit more worried this time than January. The ground is already pretty saturated plus the mountains to the east are packed with snow waiting to melt. We didn't have any problem in my neighborhood last time. I hope that continues to hold true with this warmer round of storms. Only Ryan can make weather this entertaining and suspenseful. Brutal winter for CA, but drought wiped-out is good news. Meanwhile here in MA, even if we get springtime rains, we have very little snowmelt runoff, not good. This could mean drought and/or flooding as the ground can't absorb the water. Anyway, when's this Nor'easter coming?
Western MA here. Hopefully it's a relatively mild summer again this year. One of our infamous heat waves on top of the potential for a drought could become troublesome.
I have nothing but snow in north central ma. I get it every time. Near the monadnock mountains

That warm air raising the snow level in the Sierras... shades of 1983, Ryan. I lived in northern California back then, and the flooding from not only the rain but the melting of many feet of snow in the mountains... snow levels rose from 2500 to 8000 feet in about a day. The Sacramento River jumped its banks and was impassable from Sacramento to Redding. I was working on an almond and walnut orchard and had to get a ride on a road grader to get out of that flooded area. Don't be surprised if they see flooding to make the previous problems this winter seem mild in comparison.
